Our trip was absolutely perfect from A to Z. The hotel staff was amazing from the day before our arrival to the moment we left! They took care of everything for us : from arranging our transfers between the airport and the hotel, to booking and negotiating the prices for our activities, to making sure everyday that everything was okay and that we were enjoying every part of our stay. The hotel was charming, super clean and felt very homey. The rooms were spacious and the beds were really comfortable. Lastly, the view from the rooftop terrace was absolutely breathtaking! The hundreds of hot air balloons made sunrises magical every morning. The traditional turkish breakfast was included during our stay and it was fresh, tasty and varied a bit everyday. The staff in the kitchen made sure that we felt welcome and at home. Thank you to the amazing staff for making our stay so special, we couldn’t have asked for more! I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who would like to visit Göreme and have the best experience possible!

We had a family room on the ground floor so just a few steps to the pool. The pool made all the difference - somewhere to cool down and relax after a day’s activities. No bar but beer and cold drinks from the fridge by the pool. Staff were wonderful , very helpful and accommodating. The breakfast was delicious. Amazing views from the dining room and roof terrace. The location was perfect, right in the centre of Goreme and a few minutes walk to all the action. Recommend Burger Wine House for a break from Kebabs or Gurme Kebabs near the bus station if you can’t ever have enough kebab!

I think this is a Goreme thing not specific to the hotel but this is a tourist town and prices reflect it. 15 euros per person for a shared airport transfer (got it cheaper through booking .com for the way back and had our own people carrier). One bag of washing for 18 euros seemed steep. The balloon tour organised by the hotel - whilst obviously incredible - just consisted of going up and down and we could see all the other balloons gliding low above the ground and through valleys so we had some how-privileged-are-we balloon envy.

Great hotel, location was perfect, steps away from restaurants, shopping, etc. Viewing the ballons in the morning from the rooftop balcony was awesome. Note there are no signs that tell you where the balcony is or how to access it - but you go through the restaurant (it was unlocked) out to the lower balcony to access the stairs to the upper balcony. We did not figure this out until the second morning. Breakfast was great and held us over all day until dinner in the evening.

Room #14 (where we stayed) is directly below the restaurant. If you plan to sleep in in the morning or go to bed early at night, you will hear all the chairs and tables being moved around above you. Not really a complaint, just want folks to be aware of this particular room.

The location was excellent and the roof terrace gave beautiful views of the balloons in the morning. The bed was comfortable and the room was lovely and cosy and very clean. The rooms also have a fridge which was ideal for keeping our water cold in the heat! We loved meeting the resident cat, Kizim who was always around at breakfast. The staff were extremely helpful and polite at all times. The breakfast was also great with a lovely selection and fresh eggs made to order.

The shower in our room leaked at the bottom making the whole bathroom floor wet so we had to use one of our towels to soak up the water. A quick repair here with some filler would sort this out in no time. The toilet is also positioned quite close to the shower so if you are tall it's a bit of a tight squeeze, but I understand this is probably just due to the size of the room.

As a family of 5 it is hard to find a comfortable room to accommodate us and often the kids have to share a bed. Our family suite was perfect. Large room with three single beds and a separate room with option to close door in between with a queen bed and sitting area. Two closets and two bathrooms. Our too was by the pool area where the kids loved to take a dip, although it is unheard so it was a bit chilly in April. Wonderful breakfast, friendly staff, parking onsite (although it is a little tight!). Numerous outdoor seating areas and amazing views of Goreme and the balloons! At far end of tepal which gave privacy and quiet but many many restaurants within 2-5 minute walk.

Great location - near lots of shops, places to get food and drink, near many fairy chimneys Staff were very nice and always helpful Great view of Goreme at night and for the balloon flight. Lots to see in walking distance of the hotel.

It’s expensive but competitive to the other hotels in the area for cave hotels. Mini Refrigerator was noisy but we were so tired from hiking and riding horses and shopping that it only bothered us a couple nights - when it did we unplugged it and plugged it in when we woke up.

There’s a lot to like, the hotel is not too big, on the edge of Cappadocia and is full of character. Breakfast was delicious.

The junior suite in the blurb says it has two beds. I was travelling with my grown up son and I was expecting two beds. It took a difficult conversation when I felt I was being ‘difficult’ for it to be rectified - it was quickly - but it tainted the stay a little. I was disappointed to see that the information for the hotel had not been clarified two months on.

Tekkaya Cave Hotel offers a faultless experience. It goes without saying that the location, aesthetics and amenities are up there with the best you’ll find in Göreme and as a result the hotel is suited to those who want to stay a little longer as well as those on a shorter trip. However, what really sets this place apart are the staff. They couldn’t be more helpful and accommodating. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and if we return to Göreme, we wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else.

Staff is very attentive, and they communicated frequently prior to our arrival. They also offered hot air balloon and other tour packages, but we opted to do it ourselves. The breakfast is good too.

Housekeeping didn't want to clean when we were in the room eventho we requested for it..We stayed in as one of us was sick, so it's a shame. Also, had to request for additional toothbrush too as they didn't provide it when we checked in. The room is kinda dark and lack of lightings, maybe it's to give us the true feeling of leaving in a cave who knows...
