Cute and spacious rooms with a fun-cave feel. Good location with both a short cut into town and a high point for seeing the balloons in the morning
The bathroom had a bad smell - maybe just a hazard of staying in a cave? The water also stopped working one night and it took almost 2 hours to be fixed (which wouldn’t have been as frustrating if we didn’t see the maintenance man smoking a cigarette while we were waiting)

We really enjoyed our stay at Travellers Cave. You may need to walk 10mins from Goreme center but the location offers great views. The rooms are cozy and definitely worth the value. The breakfast was really good with wide variety of options. Staff were always helpful when we need something, especially we need to say a huge THANK YOU to Ali who was really accommodating during our stay.
Having stayed at both suite and standard double rooms, my experience was that the standard double room may offer more cozy feelings and in the suite room, we did not really enjoy the fact that toilet/shower facilities are too close to the sleeping area.

We loved the location, a bit higher so we had a great view. The staff were the best. So friendly. They booked our airport shuttle, hot air balloon and tours, which were all excellent. Highly highly recommended. Thank you for giving us the perfect experience in Cappadocia. Dont look any further. Book now.

The room was absolutely amazing and exactly what we were hoping for. Really romantic, clean, and loved the decor/cave/combo/fireplace. We got the room that we were hoping to get! The staff was so friendly and helpful. We were at one of the bottom rooms at the bottom of the icy stairs and the guy at the front desk (forget his name- but he was SO wonderful) carried down our bags and lit the fire in our room and just went above and beyond. The breakfast spread was huge and fresh and very delicious. The view and proximity to the center was great. We stayed for 3 nights and would absolutely go back again!
Unfortunately our sink had a little bit of a leak onto the floor, but it was no big deal!

One thing that I like about the property is the unbeatable view of the whole Gerome from the TOP. Ms. Asel and the 3 other guys in the reception are really accommodating and assist you in anyway they can. Answer any inquiries you have. On the other hand, Room is being cleaned on a daily basis. The lady cleaner is very courteous. Room is cozy, comfy and gives you an old vibes, hence a Cave. Great service and keep it up. The town center is accessible by walking and exiting at the ground entrance.
My room was in the middle of the property, you have to go down to reach it and take several flights of stairs to reach the breakfast place and reception. It’s a cardio exercise. If you have knee problems or heart issues, inform them. In addition, my room was beside the stairs, I can hear foot stamping but not too much. Manageable.

The views were special, the breakfast was hearty and varied, the fireplace in the room was such a great feature which we used both days we were there (extra charge for extra wood);, the TV connected to our Netflix and as we traveled late November, it was cold and icy already so we felt very cozy and comfortable after a day exploring around... we ordered food in from an outsourced restaurant and although the establishment spreads from top hill, down hill (no elevators!), they found us easily and food was super hot! Plenty of outdoors seating, to watch the balloons early morning if you opt too, but was too cold, missed that. Might go back in warmer weather but our stay was really good, icy streets and all! Room had a spacious bathroom, with a bathtub that we didn't use but looked like some relaxation could be had, with a couple of jets to get that jacuzzi feeling. It wasn't necessarily a cave type, but we felt in a unique place altogether.
Hotel main entrance and Front Desk is at the top of hill and our room was all the way down - closer to town actually - but sooo many steps to drag luggage down... and we had a lot. No elevators so be ready. Front Desk night shift helped us though, he was very helpful and warm. Room has heating, AC and a fireplace but the wooden door to the room, although matching the type of room, allowed such a strong cold air draft.... we dragged all the room tapestry to prevent cold in.

This is definitely going to be a first for many people - staying in a cave hotel! When we first walked in to our room it was definitely a ‘wow’ moment! A lot of care was taken to keep the room being not only functional but also looking traditional/beautiful. Our room was very spacious (the bed was so comfy!) and our bathroom was huge, with a jacuzzi bath! The best bit was being able to open up our doors to a sunrise studded with dozens of hot air balloons!!! It was breathtaking. Rooms were cleaned daily which was great. This hotel is perched high up on a hill which is what makes the views so epic. There are various rooftop viewpoints situated at the hotel where you can take some cool photos of the hot air balloons each morning. The hotel also lights a fire on the rooftop at night so it feels really cozy - we often had some Turkish tea by the fire and admired the view. While we chose to explore Cappadocia on our own, the hotel does have lots of tours on offer and arranged hot air balloons rides should you need some help. Breakfast is wonderful - lots of choice and all very delicious! We also used their laundry service - I think it was 7 euros for 5kg. This was very handy after we’d been travelling for a while. I’d gladly come back!
The shower head in our room could probably do with being replaced

Very nice view over Goreme and the baloons and very kind and helpful staff.
The main entrance is a bit difficult to reach by car/transport as it is on top of a hill and at the end of a very narrow and steep road. There is an alternative entrance with direct access to the center of Goreme with the downside of many stairs to walk up and down. The breakfast started earliest at 8:00. Would be nice an earlier option. The fireplace in the picture looks so nice but we we did not dare to light it up in our room as it was completely open without any cover or shield and felt too dangerous and smokey to try to use.

We stayed for 3 nights. The receptionists were really helpful. They were approachable on Booking.com messages to clarify any of our doubts before arrival. Our room had royal linens and decor, it was a cave and stone mixed room. Rooms were cleaned regularly on daily basis. Drinking water was provided everyday. They replenished coffee/tea too everyday. Our room had a fireplace and we were lucky to have the logs replenished as well after we used them the 1st evening. Rooms were perfectly warm and cosy. Hot air balloons were getting cancelled during our stay due to the weather, hence, we cannot comment on if Hot air balloons would be visible from the hotels terrace. However, the location of the stay is in the centre, at a height with amazing views of Goreme and sunset can be seen right from outside your room or the hotels terrace.Hotel is at quite a height and that’s why amazing views, so, be ready for a little hike upwards if you walk to the hotel. The receptionists guided us with the map of Kapadokya, recommended some fantastic restaurants and routes for sight seeing as well. We booked the Hot Air Balloon ride and Green tour too from them only (even though little expensive) and our ride and tour was absolutely perfectly well guided and comfortable. Jevdet was our tour guide at the Green tour and he was one of the most fun, well informed and knowledgeable guide with details about Kapadokya’s history. He even adjusted the spots in the itinerary as per our group’s request which we all appreciated a lot.
The last day of our stay when we were checking out, it rained and we realised that there was water dripping from the ceiling of our room, however, it wasn’t a major issue since we were checking out. If that bit can be fixed for the room we stayed, it would be perfect. Also, it would be nice to have some more hot breakfast options as 8/10 options were raw/cold foods and I’m not very comfortable with cold breakfast in the morning.

The property is on slope of hills so some rooms are near city centre and few up. The rooms on top have great view even of balloons. But you need to climb up 120 steps so chose it if no problem in climbing steps. Beautiful blooming roses ,view from terraces , very welcoming staff and good spread of breakfast are highlights. They arranged a party for our silver jubilee and did not even charge!!Girls in the dining area(probably Ella ) and one at reception were very smiling and helpful.
We were upgraded to Junior suite for one day free of cost but it was bit stinky, the cushions in the terrace need revamping, rooms to be more lit up and more of switches in room and at higher levels.
