The staff was very kind and helpful. The breakfast had good variety even at late hours. The rooms was large and clean. The double bed was comfortable. Both metro lines are 10 minutes walking distance. Easy to reach the historical center of Rome.

The 3rd bed for the child was an extendable sofa and less comfortable.

excellent value breakfast

Took a 100 euro bond at check-in. told I would get it back if I presented the pink piece of receipt paper at check out. paid out standing bill at check out without person administrating mentioning the 100 euro bond. only after paying did I mention the 100 euro bond and was told to give pink slip for refund, which I did. Would not have been mentioned if I had not asked.

The room was cleaned daily. They changed toiletries, towels etc. everyday. Besides, it was very close to Termini and surprisingly it wasn’t crowded at all. The area was totaly safe as there are some carabinieri stations around. All the staff was very helpful as well. Mr. Gino in the reception provided us a map which he worked on dilligently. Also, there is a huge supermarket near the hotel that you can use to get anything you need.

The bathroom might need a tad bit of renevation, though I must say I genuinely liked the vintage touch, so it would be unfair to say I didn’t like it at all. Hence, a minor maintanence would suffice.

Hotel Camelia is located very close to the Roma Termini train station, so this was super convenient. We found it to be a quieter neighborhood vs some of the other areas we explored during our stay. Most of the tourist sites are not within a comfortable walking distance, but Uber, taxis and the Metro were good options close by. The bed was larger than expected (US King size) and the overall space in the room was large for a European city hotel.

The only issue we had was that our in-room refrigerator did not work, but it was not a big deal for us since we were only there 2 nights and spent most of our time out exploring. The bathroom was a bit cramped, but this is typical. It would have been nice to have some more counter space there.

Excellent buffet breakfast at very reasonable cost..7 euros….the 2 women staff serving the breakfast were efficient and friendly, pleasant dining room environment.

Our plane home was delayed by a day and the hotel charged us over a hundred and fifty euro more than the rate that we paid for the first 3 nights…the room was obviously available or we could not have stayed…in the hotels defence tho our extra night was a Friday so maybe rates change on weekends…but…

The staff is friendly and very helpful and our room was spacious and comfortable. The room and public areas were spotless. The optional breakfast was delicious and had a variety of hot and cold menu items. It’s a great value. It’s a short walk to the Central rail station, metro lines (both red and blue), city buses and hop-on tour buses. There are plenty of great restaurants nearby and plenty of shopping nearby. Highly recommended!

Not a thing!

Really lovely boutique hotel in a great location. Everything was immaculately clean, the room was spacious and there were nice products in the bathroom. There is a small fridge with a few mini bar items. The staff were really helpful in explaining the best places to visit in Rome; and where not to go after dark! I was also able to leave my luggage there both before and after my stay to fit in with travel plans. Highly recommended!

I don't know his name, but the man who checked me in was absolutely gorgeous, incredibly kind and personable. The room had a tea kettle and tea, had a nice bathroom with ginseng shampoo. Very nice new and renovated room. They resolved the $100 mandatory hold on my card without inspecting the room and without acting weird about it, so my trust in that initial unpleasantness was restored.

The bed was hard as a rock and I could barely sleep because of that. There was also (what I thought) to be a old camera in the corner near the door. When I addressed it to reception they said it was a smoke detector... But I am still wary.

lovely friendly hotel in quiet location with mini market, cafe and lovely restaurants on your doorstep. it was only a 5-7 mini walk to the termini (handy for airport transfer) and a 10 minute walk to the metro (underground) in the other direction. a 30 minute walk to the coliseum. very accommodating staff, comfy beds which is such a bonus! regularly cleaned, fresh towels and sheets. saw 3 different people on reception who were all so friendly and helpful, gave us a map that was literally like our bible. would definitely stay again

if I really had to chose something I didn’t like it would be not having a kettle/tea/coffee in the room although having a fridge was a god send. the other thing slightly odd was not having control of your air con as this is managed by reception but they turn up or down (or on/off) as soon as you ask and it worked brilliantly

We liked the size of the family room. It was clean, everything worked, minibar had free water and there was a kettle. Stuff was helpful and polite, breakfast was ok. The value for money is great! It is a short walk to the metro or the train station and then 2-3 metro stations to the historic city center. For dining, I recommend La Familia restaurant near the hotel. Recommended by staff and has great food at half price of the tourist restaurants in the center.

The rooms on 4th floor had no windows to the street. The only window was to the inner corridor, so it must be always closed. The location is 5-10min walk from the train station and metro. The train station doesn't feel safe at night, although we had no problems.
