Lovely setting, olde world feel, very welcoming staff. We were happy with our room and very much enjoyed the meal we had booked.

Nothing major but there were some cobwebs in the room and we had no shampoo just three bottles of conditioner. I know if we had asked for this the staff would have been only too ready to provide this. I only mention this as a heads up to cleaning staff. We were otherwise very happy with the room and the breakfast providedz

Stunning location. The surrounding countryside is beautiful as is Hartington Village itself. Excellent sized bedroom tastefully decorated. All mod cons TV, Fan , Armchair Tea/ coffee/Hot chocolate and posh biscuits. Plenty of storage and spotlessly clean. Friendly staff who remembered me from a previous visit a few months before which made me feel very important indeed. The food on the night was excellent although recommend you book as it was very busy. Loads of fresh thick soft towels in the bathroom.Plenty of hot water. Plenty of on street parking which was all free.

It was all good. Nothing negative to say.

loved the friendliness of the team and how delicious the restaurant food is. Really well kept, extremely comfortable bed and powerful shower. Felt at home.

The breakfast was included, but felt the variety could have been better and would have thought the pastries would have been refreshed for the next day along with coffee etc. But still great, just would of given a 10 if this was the case.

Perfect location for walking. Food was good quality. Lots of amenities close by. We had a lovely few days away.

No cooked breakfast (not clear this was the case on booking) and not a great offering for continental breakfast in the room. We had no cutlery so had to go looking for some as no one around in the mornings. Restaurant food ordering and bar area was all a little chaotic at times.

Lovely comfortable room, really good food, superb location, friendly thoughtful service . Super little cafe next door !

Not that I didn’t like this but just be aware breakfast is a continental basket so if you want a cooked breakfast you will need to go to the Beresford cafe next door where we had a one of the tastiest English breakfasts ever!

The room was stunning. Our view was onto another building but it wasn't about that, the design, facilities and comfort of the room were stunning, we were blown away. The small touches like the dog bowls (even though we didn't have a dog with us, we are dog lovers and noticed them), the power show (wow!), the bed, just everything :)

There wasn't anything that we didn't like!

Location is brilliant, perfect for those who want to go walking and also for those who want to relax. Breakfast is ideal, small hamper in the room every morning with cereal. It is super dog friendly, even offered a dog bed for our pooch. Beds are super comfortable.

Everything was perfect, but if I had to pick something I’d say the room was quite warm, even with a window open as only one was openable. There was a plug in fan though which I imagine is essential in the summer.

Spacious & comfortable room. The Continental breakfast in the room was very good. The Folk night on Thursday was enjoyable. The dog was made very welcome. Nice atmosphere.

Couldn't find the WiFi code, but read my book instead of being on the net, which was nice. Cupboard door to fridge was broken & a bit of paint missing.

Great to see an openly gay friendly pub in this area! Lovely room layout with all amenities I could need, very spacious room in a beautiful setting

The room could have been a bit cleaner, some big cobwebs in corners and watermarks in the bath. Could do with a lick of paint as walls are very scuffed. The room I had was close to the road, so road noise was an issue with tractors early morning
