Easy walk from property into Centre of Leek. Room was over a pub but still quiet. Bed was large & comfortable. All staff were helpful and friendly. Pub is popular with locals and has an amazing selection of real ales

It was fine for us but please note there is a long staircase up to the room. No car park but free parking is available in close proximity, higher up the street and on the other side of the church. Pub doesn’t serve food including at breakfast time but welcomes Take Away & offers utensils. There are lovely cafes & tea rooms close by.

Lovely comfy bed, room and bathroom very clean, and we had a great tea/coffee tray with biscuits and fresh milk in the fridge, which was replaced upon request. We were given a parking space which was great as we like to walk about as much as we can. Locals were friendly in the bar and there were fabulous real ales kept very nicely and at a reasonable price available. We visited Rudyard Lake and had very good weather.

No option for breakfast at the Hotel but that didn't matter, we walked to wetherspoons and had a bargain breakfast!

My second stay at the Fountain Inn for an event in town, the rooms are beautifully furnished, very comfortable beds and good quality bedlinen. Coffee, tea biscuits and a kettle are provided. Although the rooms are above the bar there's no noise. Room 1 is very spacious with a view of the church directly opposite, room 2 on my second stay is cosy although with a view of a car park - I stayed on a Saturday night when it was closed but possibly busy on weekdays. A very short walk into the town centre for pubs/cafes etc

The stairs up to the rooms are quite steep, the staff could have offered to carry my bag and provided a bit more of a welcome and information/ask if I needed to know more - took a while for me to realise there was fresh milk in the fridge in the cupboard. There was nowhere to park outside the pub on this occasion, and suggest to add as a request on booking, for 1 of the 2 spaces next to the pub, but there is parking nearby. Some suggestions for places for breakfast in the guest book would be useful. A full length mirror would be useful.

Really lovely very much value for money room in a great pub. The pub was a small way up a lane leading from the centre of town, this meant it was a quieter area. We went to a few pubs around the town, but this was the best by far. They don't serve food, but there are plenty of places to eat within a short walking distance. The room has been tastefully decorated and the bed was extremely comfy and so a great nights sleep. Couple of maintenance issues in the bathroom, flashing light that needs looking at, toilet seat kept falling down and wouldn't stay up without being held - nothing major and certainly didn't distract from a really lovely stay - thank you.

Attached to a public house with a separate entrance. The pub itself was really busy, with plenty of choice of drinks. Bar full of locals which is always a good sign. When show into our room we were very happy to see how clean and comfortable it looked. It's had everything you needed, great Wi-Fi , large TV , coffee tea sugar and a little bottle of milk that was kept in a fridge. We were a little apprehensive that our room might be noisy but we had probably one of the best nights sleep we've had for a long time

It's a 10:00 a.m. check out and after a wedding another hour would have been nice but not a problem. Quite steep stairs up to the rooms so if you have mobility issues it's probably not for you but we have no issues.

Convenience of location near to daughters house in Leek so family could get together over Christmas . Lovely cosy room, very warm and comfortable with a lovely powerful shower - hot water - nice toiletries - soft towels - good quality tea, coffee and biscuits with proper milk kept in a small fridge! Separate entrance to room at side of inn - lovely quality crisp bedlinen on an exceptionally comfortable bed - key code entry so no keys!! Plenty of hanging space and drawer space - pleasant view of church opposite made it a very quiet place to stay - plenty of parking and close to police station so very secure indeed!! Very close to Leek town centre with many amenities. Very welcoming host.

I can’t fault the room at all it was very comfortable a little bit of noise from pub below but did quieten down at 11ish.. on web site said plenty of parking, on arrival parking was on the road and a limit of 45mins up till 5pm, as I was attending a wedding on the Saturday there would have be no way that I could have returned to move my car, however I did park in front of the electricity board gates with the risk of being towed away!!!! Had that space not been available not sure where I would have parked as not knowing the area at all.

The location - nice bars and restaurants in Leek and the Roaches and Luds Church close by for walks! The room had everything we needed, including details like a tea station and body wash in shower.

- On-street parking (could imagine this would be difficult at times) - Shower screen was not wide enough and it was clear that the bathroom was frequently flooded as you could feel that the floorboards had rotted in certain sections - it was two twin beds put together and it was very uncomfortable if you tried to sleep near each other

The rooms was lovely, clean and comfortable. It had everything I needed for my short stay. I went for a wedding and was able to get a cab from the inn. The separate entrance and pin code entry made everything really easy. It was only a short stay, but the property perfectly met my expectations.

Not much to complain about - obviously you're over a pub so that comes with a certain amount of noise, but not so late into the night that it was a problem. The room is opposite the street to a church but you don't feel particularly overlooked.

The hotel itself was spotless, the staff accommodated my special request for banners for my husbands 40th birthday, the staff were all pleasant from the bar staff to the manager in the mornings when we were coming out of the room, there's a key code for the doors no keys to lose at alton towers, the low ceilings are paddd wich my hubby approved of being over 6ft, and there's Netflix on the TV in the room logged in as a guest account so there was something to watch at night.

The parking outside the hotel is permit parking unless you can get in 1 of the 2 spaces outside this wasnt too big of an issue for us as we were up and out by 8am the 2 days we stayed but this could be a problem if you over sleep or just wanted a lazy day ( the parking wardens drive round, so easy to get caught out ) .
