location couldn’t be better for the price! we were here for an event! check in was a breeze! staff were lovely. room was small but clean and tidy. no problem with noise once both windows were closed shut, we did stay at the back of the hotel. bed was very comfortable and WiFi connection was great. we ordered in food from a pizza place called “Rudys Pizza” absolutely couldn’t recommend more if wanting to just have a night in and relax! pizza was 10/10!!

only thing I could critique is that our hairdryer was broken (by the crackling sounds of it anyway)🤣 and there was no fridge to keep anything cool.

There was a good breakfast selection. The staff were very friendly and helpful and worked with a pleasant smile on their faces which showed that they enjoyed their job. There was a nice atmosphere in the bar in the evening, and the seating was comfortable. The bar and dining area were clean and tidy, as were the bathrooms. The train station was within walking distance. There was a huge selection of very good restaurants close by. Twelve o'clock check out was great as we could relax after breakfast. We had an evening flight so it was great that the staff had no problem holding our luggage. We enjoyed staying here and will be back again.

The room was slightly smaller than usual. This was not an issue.

The staff were wonderful, very helpful, attentive and friendly and definitely made me feel safe as a solo traveller. The room was cosy and clean and perfect after a long day. The breakfast buffet was lovely everything was hot and fresh and very tasty. Check out was extremely fast and efficient! Overall, I was very happy with my stay and I would say it is definitely very good value for money.

Unfortunately (and this is my own fault, not the hotels) I failed to check the location. I didn’t realise that this hotel is located extremely close to a night club which on a Friday and Saturday night does not close until 4am. Luckily it wasn’t too loud for me as I am quite a heavy sleeper but I imagine certain rooms are likely to be a lot louder. Again, this is my fault for not checking the location thoroughly. I think it would be totally fine if your stay is during the week, but over the weekend it gets a little loud from 8pm onwards.

Close to the train station and easy to find. Very welcoming and easy to check in. 24hr reception and bar so was nice to come back from an event and unwind downstairs for awhile before heading off to bed. They had a couple of games tables in the bar like pool. 12pm check out so didn't feel rushed in the morning to leave. The room had mostly everything you needed like towels ,soap ,shampoo ect, sanitary bags, toilet roll, hot drinks and a hair dryer. I didn't ask if there was iron available as my clothes were ok without one. Situated in China Town ,so the area was beautiful to explore. I will book again in the future.

Just the cooling / heating fan. The windows are limited when open so the room takes awhile to cool down when it's warm outside, so we left the fan on and window open when we went out to keep room cool.

Wonderful, city centre location directly opposite the excellent Chung Ying Chinese restaurant. A lovely, warm welcome and ultra smooth check-in which was very nice indeed. All staff at the Ibis with whom I came into contact were very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Room was very clean with all the usual amenities (great shower!) and everything worked perfectly. Buffet breakfast was exceptional! Full English (delicious, quality sausages and bacon!), toast, croissant, jams, cheeses, hams, various juices and the coffee was absolutely amazing! Managing the breakfast area was the delightful and efficient Ingrid, aways a pleasure to see her, a big smile and a lovely greeting every morning, She's a credit to Ibis Hotels as we're all the staff that I met. If you're planning to stay in Birmingham City Centre the Ibis is a great place to stay and it's incredible value for money!

Stay here every November while attending the Classic Motor Show at the NEC. The hotel was just as I remembered and I want to particularly highlight the man who supervises the excellent breakfasts: this year and in previous he is always unstintingly friendly, polite and helpful... an absolutely lovely man.

It was mildly annoying that one of the lifts kept breaking down... when the hotel is busy as it was, it means having to wait much longer to get into a lift. Hardly a major problem but hadn't got anything else negative to say!!!

Perfectly located for the Hippodrome and the station. Lots of great places to eat locally. The family room we had was much bigger than family rooms in other hotel chains we have had previously. It had a double bed and a single but rather than being squashed together it was almost like 2 separate rooms. It had a full size bath with shower and the bathroom had windows which hasn't been the case with other places we have tried- it is usually just an internal pod within the room -this was much nicer. The staff were very friendly and although we didn't try the breakfast, it seemed very popular. We paid a really good and did not expect such a nice room. Would definitely stay here again.

The dining area/ bar felt a little 'youth hostel'ish but as we didn't use it, it is just my passing impression. The single bed side of the room was a bit dark with no overhead lights but not a major problem.

Great location, very clean and comfortable

No hand towels in the room. Told by bar person they do not do ice.no wonder bar was empty. Could not check in tiill 3 which we knew but could leave bags but not told no access to toilet with out a card key. When I found this out had to queue again at reception to get a card key, which did not work so had to go back to reception again by which time I was passed desperate as I have kidney problems. I understand that there is a need to restrict access to non residents but surely there must be a better way of supporting new clients

The location was perfect, not a busy area so no loud noises outside the window but less than 5 minute walk to the Bullring shopping centre and less than 10 minute walk to New Street Station. There was plenty to do as they had a nice bar with good drink selections, a pool table and a table football. The staff were also very helpful.

The beds were extremely uncomfortable as were the pillows, 1 pillow was not supportive enough but 2 made them feel hard as a rock so couldn't win! Would be nice to add Malibu to the bar menu!

The hotel is central to New Street train station, China Town, the Bullring... Staff all welcoming, approachable and helpful. Facilities good and felt safe traveling alone with my son, as security checked name when entering the hotel late (following a concert). Room was comoact but had everything needed. Room was warm and sou d proofing good to block out the busy road noise. Breakfast was good. Bar and food available 24/7. I would use this hotel again if visiting Birmingham.

The carpet could be changed, but i always wear slippers or shoes when in hotel rooms...
