The location size of the room the staff were all amazing

The room was cold. It was cold outside and most hotels are over warm. The room was freezing it was as if someone had left the air con on. It took ages for the room to warm up. Visit this hotel in the summer

Great location, friendly staff who hold themselves to a high standard, decent rooms, tasty varied food options. Easy to get assistance whenever needed. Room service was great and easily accessible. Couldn't hear any other guests at all which was very nice and felt very private.

Advertised as having streaming services, like Netflix, however this was not the case. You can watch Netflix if you sync your laptop/phone screen to the TV but that isn't always ideal. Streaming services was one of the main selling points for us so we were left disappointed. Half of the TV channels do not work. Food is delicious but the main portions are relatively small. A lot of the staff speak very poor English, not even basic English, which resulted in a few awkward conversations and encounters. Rooms were also very warm and air con made very little difference and we were unable to go below 19C on the thermostat. Obviously wouldn't be a big deal outside of the summer months.

The staff are always very friendly and efficient. The rooms are large, clean, and tastefully decorated. There's good wardrobe space, an iron and ironing board, and a good selection of tea, coffee, and toiletries. I came to drop my luggage off at 12 before a 15:00 check-in but my room was ready...nice!

The fridge either didn't work or was switched off. I tried and failed to turn it on as it seems to be connected to an automatic switch when the cupboard containing the fridge was closed. It's not a big deal but I like to keep some drinks, milk, and snacks in the fridge if I'm staying for more than one night. The TV picture went black after a couple of minutes. I needed to turn it off and on again. No plugs by the bed: this phone addict is always disappointed by that first-world problem.

Location was perfect for where we were planning to go, we drove and there is a small drop off point in front of the hotel which was great for us and my hubby then drove around the corner to park. NCP. Checking in was easy and very good, lovely front of house staff gave us all the info we needed and our room was fab. Only negative if I'm being picky was breakfast. Self serve which we expected but quality was a bit off, lots of choice though so we all had something nice.

I understand that it is a city quick stay hotel but the bar which we used for a nightcap was quite depressing with absolutely no atmosphere at all. Having said that the barman was very pleasant.

Large room which they upgraded free of charge for me. Very comfortable mattress and pillows. Tea and coffee in the room. Two comfy chairs. Large bathroom with bath, shower, plenty of cosmetics, shower cap and more. Had a good meal in the bar if you need to eat earlier as I did before the restaurant opened. Breakfast was excellent. Fruit, yoghurt and cooked breakfasts available. Nice to have vegetarian sausages! Also continental if you want it, cheese, meat, breads. Plus croissants and pain au chocolat. Plenty of tea and coffee brought to the table. Staff were polite and helpful. Five minutes on foot from New Street station and two minutes from the Alexandra theatre.

The wash basin in the bathroom kept blocking but it looked like someone had tried to wash some leaves down it which was a silly thing to do. I'm sure reception would have sorted it but I was only there for one night so I told them when I left as I didn't want a plumber banging about. Nothing else was wrong with my stay

Room facilities good, peaceful stay (given that it's in the centre of Birmingham), gym in good condition with adequate kit, people nice, breakfast good, hotel food delivered to the room was also enjoyable.

Building fabric internally is a little tired. No robes and slippers provided. Didn't like being informed that I had to pay for parking after I had booked when parking is listed as a hotel facility on booking.com. It would appear that this thing has been going on for some time and the hotel and booking.com must be aware and should act accordingly. Didn't spoil the stay though as the car park was just round the corner and not too expensive.

Parking: a bit inconvenient and there wasn't parking available/ info on how to get to the correct parking. After arrival the lovely girl at the reception tried directing me to the correct parking but did not have enough time to move so I ended up payng £25 parking fees at the shopping centre (instead the £10 discounted they can offer on top of the train station. Maybe a post code of that parking should be provided. not enough shower gel for 2 people

The room was spacious and located on the 13th floor which meant some nice views of Birmingham. The location could not have been better as it was very central and walking distance from any areas of interest. The bed was really comfortable and the bathroom was well equipped with a nice shower/bath. The room also had a table and two very comfortable chairs for reading/working.

The keys for our room stopped working the second morning we were there, but it was very quickly fixed by the receptionists.

The hotel is in a great location in the city centre of Birmingham. There are lots of amenities near by and it is close to the train station. The bed was spacious and extremely comfortable, we had a great nights sleep! The bathroom was modern and clean and offered lots of little extra toiletries, a hair dryer and even a clothes washing line. (There was a phone in the bathroom too - although we unsure what this was used for/if it worked) We would stay here again if the issues listed below were rectified. The staff were very friendly and we slept great, but for the price we paid we expected more. Particularly for the ‘extra features’ in the hotel such as the ice machines in hallways, phone in bathroom, AirPlay on TV to connect iPhones, mini fridge, suit press - all things which did not work.

Brilliant staff - all very friendly and helpful. Especially the bar tender, who was really great (José) Nice comfortable room. Lovely comfy bed. View at night was very good. The location was good - chosen for proximity to the O2. (The downside was that the immediate vicinity around it is a bit less.good im terms of bars, etc, though). Overall, I would definitely go again.

Couldn't get the fridge to work. The ice machine in the corridor also didn't seem to be functional. The lift area in the reception was a bit tired - one lift call button damaged. It just undermines the impression I had of the hotel (from a previous visit) as high quality. Also, the shower leaked down the hose, so as a result, the shower itself didn't feel very powerful.
