Have stayed numerous times, and have always enjoyed this hotel and will return again. The staff are always smartly dressed, which makes a huge difference aware of their roles and happy to help. Facilities always clean, the reception is inviting and the breakfast is brilliant.

The property itself is perfect, however i do think when you are already paying a higher price for accommodation you shouldn’t have to pay for parking also £18 per car, per night to park a car, when you’ve already paid to stay at the hotel is steep. I understand putting a charge on for those not staying.

The Big Blue Hotel is our go to hotel in Blackpool. We have stayed on numerous occasions. The service is excellent and the facilities are good. The rooms are well appointed in this price bracket. We stayed in a superior room 417, which was large and had views over the pleasure beach, although we choose to stay usually in winter when the park is closed. The breakfast is buffet style and has all the usual content, presented well and plentiful. We did not use the restaurant on this occasion.

The same gripe as a previous visit, the hotel wants to charge £18 for an overnight stay in the onsite car park. My visits are usually out of season and the pleasure beach is closed so demand for parking is lower. £18 is not good value.

The room was nice, large, great sitting area after a long day of walking. The view onto Pleasure Beach (even though it was closed) was actually quite nice. The hotel itself is quite large but it often felt like we had the run of the place to ourselves (probably more to do with the time of year we visited). All staff members we interacted with were friendly, welcoming and helpful.

The paid parking was a joke. After we arrived late evening, paid for two days and then saw an abundance of street parking available in the morning, we were disappointed. Clearly the Big Blue Hotel has never heard of Off Season and are incapable of adjusting policies based on time of year. The hotel itself was already quite pricey, so waiving the £18 per day parking wouldn't have broken them. The room is really starting to look run down. Tiles in the bathroom were coming undone, the wood panelling has large chips removed near the door.

I have been to the hotel many times over the years and it does not disappoint.The staff are friendly, the rooms are very good, clean and tidy and the food is great. The hotel is situated perfectly for the pleasure beach and only a taxi or tram from Central for other entertainment.

Nothing that I don’t like…but I’m sure the hotel strives to improve on their excellent hotel. The only thing I would say is the pricing of the parking but we come by train and the train station is only about 100 metres from the hotel so that is ANOTHER positive ….

Breakfast was great, good choice and staff kept areas clean. Location in perfect for the pleasure beach. Room was good, bed was massive and air con was very cool which was great for the husband but not so much for me. Hot chocolate sachets in the room was a nice touch.

Been cashless is not good, this is been pushed from many angles at the moment and doesn’t benefit anyone but the banks and the people that dictate to us. Drinks were expensive in the bar over £6 for a coke with Malibu, maybe that’s the going rate now?!

Room was spacious. Lots of hot water readily available Toiletries were nice but a little sparse and although we chose to forego daily room cleaning( think green idea) we should have asked for more. Tea and coffee making...likewise. £5 per day refund is a great incentive. Would be interested to know if it is popular?? Breakfast was good and plentiful. Comfortable facilities overall. We found location good. Tram nearby but we enjoyed walking into centre. Near beach. Quieter end of Blackpool.

Beds are a little hard, and, as we are tall, not long enough. Parking charges are expensive and are not for 24hrs, ie: you can not sign into hotel til 3pm but one day of parking finishes at 12 the next day. Had some noisy neighbours and some outside noise. Not a big fan of the adjoining door rooms idea! As before...the think green idea is basically a great one but has a few drawbacks, as in lack of toiletries and tea/ coffee supplies, although I'm sure we could have asked if we had really needed them.

The breakfast buffet that was included was excellent! Great food and they staggered people’s booking times so it wasn’t too busy and chaotic. We didn’t have anything the in evenings there. Very short walk to the pleasure beach (and great access via their VIP entry). We got upgraded to a room where you could see into the pleasure beach! Was amazing and the beds were comfy. All the staff were helpful and friendly.

Only thing I would criticise is the parking. Fair enough you pay for parking in that prime location but it’s only until midday of your check out day. Which means you have to move the car if you want to explore Blackpool a bit more or pay an extra £10. The shower was powerful but sometimes lost its heat.

We were upgraded. The room was fantastic, so much so, we could have stayed in the entire break. The view of the park with double doors to open, was fantastic. Waving at the park goers who rode past on the train was great, silly fun. The chairs were so comfortable ,I wish I'd brought a book. 🤦😂😂. I would love that room every time. The front of house staff were pleasant and polite, but not stuffily so. Very easy going, but still professional. The cleaning staff were exceptional, cheery and laid back, although they were very busy. Bar and restaurant staff were fantastic. A great place to stay.

I have stayed at this hotel before with myself and my son. It has always been absolutely brilliant. The rooms are amazing and so clean and comfortable. The bathroom has extras like shampoo conditioner body wash and moisturiser which is brilliant. The staff are so friendly and helpful and make you feel very welcome. This hotel is next to the pleasure beach and tram stops which is great. My son also went to the bar to ask for a glass of milk and the bar man didn't charge us which we thought was super nice. The breakfast was also amazing and so tasty. It was well stocked and well organised. I will always return to this hotel when I stay in Blackpool.
