Really nice place, with amazing staff. 10/10 clean. Great coffee in the room, water was a nice touch. Shampoo smelled amazing.

The breakfast sadly was... not to my usual hotel standard. Especially for this price. Not enough options, and if you're vegan - there is almost nothing to eat. We've chosen this hotel for their spa facilities- and as much as we loved the pool and saunas - their jacuzzi didn't work (water was literally dangerously hot - to the point that if you go inside it will burn your skin) so the jacuzzi was out of order for the time of our stay and that really ruined our stay, as it was the most important thing for us. (We were there to relax!)

We had a lovely time staying at the lodge. It's very close to the centre. Staff was extremely helpful and the food delicious. Rooms comfortable and clean. Highly recommended.

Main hotel was beautifully furnished on entrance. The lodge entrance wasn't quite as attractive and could do with the same kind of decor as the reception area, was 2 star looking in comparison. Inside the room was comfortable nicely decorated and a nice view over the garden. Bathroom was good enough. Carpet was stained and I was not comfortable walking on it with bare feet. Curtains were also stained. Bed was comfortable and had a good sleep. The staff at breakfast were lovely. Good selection of cereals, some fruit, yogurt, pastries, toast,cooked English breakfast and good coffee from a machine, really enjoyed it. We used the pool and the sauna and steam. Under 16 not allowed in jacuzzi which was disappointing to my daughter and under 16 could only use the pool between 6pm-9pm which was fine just had to work around it. Short walk to the beach with a nice fish and chip shop close by and a Nisa shop. Overall was a lovely stay and the weather was great too!

All the staff that we came in contact with were very polite, all smiley even at 7:00 am. Spa facilities excellent. Beds very comfy so made my first night away from my toddler even better. Main hotel was very clean. Swimming facilities look a lot better in real life than on the pictures I had seen.

Stayed in the Lodge, not as well kept as the main hotel but I was only in there to sleep anyway so didn't matter. Some of the bottles in the bathroom were empty, had my own shower gel so again didn't matter too much. A lot of people hanging around the carpark at night, obviously not hotels faulty just a pre warning.

It went well all the way through, although we didnt know we'd be staying in the Lodge, which is across a small courtyard, in the pouring rain, rain not their fault, of course... We were on the 2nd floor, there is a small lift, I might get an upgrade next time? Food was very good, we had evening meal in the restaurant and breakfast was excellent... Staying in the Lodge, was a bit incinvenient, we're elderly and not so steady on our feet these says, it was raining, and the steps were slippery, definitely would have prefered to have stayed in the main hotel, because of that. Overall it was excellent....

The staff were lovely. The breakfast was good quality items. My daughter and I need Gluten Free and they cooked sausages just for us. Beds are very comfy, rooms are clean. Some of the paintwork in the bathroom needs redoing and was flaking in room 45. Overall a great place to stay. The swimming pool was great and again, staff were very friendly. One edge of the pool needed repair but still had a lovely swim. There is an outdoor space to eat breakfast when the weather is hot. Great location, about 10 mins walk to the beach. Would definitely stay here again.

The location meant it was very accessible to the centre and beach, especially if just walking. Breakfast was great quality and a lot of it meaning very good for the money. Staff were all very welcoming and polite.

We weren't aware when booking that it was two different buildings which we felt a bit weird once we found out, however wasn't a massive problem when we got used to it. Wasn't too happy about how hot the Lodge building was and found it hard to get the air con working properly (staff who helped was very kind and helpful with this though)

Breakfast: location is in the Hotel, you just have to walk through the courtyard/ garden, direct into breakfast room. Breakfast was superb and staff good at serving and removing plates. It's mostly self-service, including the toast machine, with freshly ground coffee. There was lots of fruit, dried fruit and seeds, as well as cereals. The small danish pastries were fresh and yummy. Room: plenty of space and had a really large bed too, bigger than a kingsize. Very comfortable, There was plenty of clothes storage. The curtains were good at keeping the light out. The windows can be opened. There is an air conditioning unit provided. Our room had a bath with shower overhead. Lots of lovely toiletries provided, and not in tiny bottles. Location: easy to get to the beach, via a path then the zig zag path down the cliff. Or walk to the town itself. Facilities: the pool, steam room, sauna and jacuzzi, and the gym. Wow wow wow! All these are available for customers of the Connaught Lodge. Go through the hotel reception and there's a lift or a spiral staircase down to the changing rooms. Didn't need the safe in the wardrobe but would have liked a small fridge there instead. My husband needed his medication kept cool (we used the wash basin filled with cold water)

The location was brilliant, bed was huge and very comfortable, breakfast was amazing

The Lodge is next to the hotel and very quiet, but............the room had issues, The shower leaked and was lacking a washer, the room was nice, but no telephone to reception, the windows were against a tree which rubbed against the windows, there were cobwebs in the room, the net curtains were dirty and there were gaps around the window. The bathroom was clean and so was the room apart from what I have already mentioned

Breakfast choices and food quality excellent. Good value. Dinner food quality excellent

Waiting one hour from sitting until food delivered at dinner and the restaurant was only 40% full. The two waiters/ bar staff (as well!) were run off their feet trying to cover bar and restaurant service and deserve more help. I presume the problem lies in the kitchen possibly understaffed? A little thing - I’d have used a shower cap if there’d been one, and my elderly mother needed a non slip mat in bath to have a shower so we had to use a towel in the bath as a mat. Bedroom was rather gloomy as it was quite narrow with grey walls and dark old furnishings
