The hotel is clearly a 4 star hotel in the disguise of a 3 star. The Spa was excellent and so we're the staff there. The rooms were large and well decorated ...they were also clearly well maintained. The Hotel inside was generally internally superior to the external so you can never judge a book by its cover. During a wedding the bar staff rearranged our pre planned location to another area to give us privacy for our cream tea.

The receptionist was hard to find. The busy wedding at the venue was never pointed out before we booked The bathrobes for the Spa were unavailable The jacuzzi was not working in the Spa The Price of the food was very high. Next time I will only book the evening meal as part of an offer. That said the food was a good standard.

Outstanding! Absolutely everything! The staff were very friendly and helpful. I loved how quite it was on arrival we had the whole spa to ourselves, the gym on the morning. It was so relaxing 😌 the bar staff were lovely and when asked if he had two wine glasses I could borrow to take back to my room he had no problems with it and also offered me an ice bucket to go with it. I thought it was a very thoughtful and friendly thing to do. On arrival our original room was taken so they replaced hour double room with a outstanding way out of our budget room, with patio doors that lead out to the garden, with our own tablet and chairs, in our room we had our own bath jacuzzi. It was just magic ✨ I'm thinking of becoming a member and ot being a regular thing.

I had one of the refurbished rooms, I stayed one night with work and the 2nd night for personal use. The reception staff couldn't be more helpful ensuring I didn't have to move rooms after my work stay. The staff at breakfast were lovely too. Everywhere was clean and bright.

Although the breakfast menu was quite extensive I found the muffins and bagels tough and my colleagues scrambled eggs were overcooked with a rather parsimonious portion of smoked salmon. I also didn't like seeing guests wandering around reception in dressing gowns going to the pool and spa and guest coming into breakfast in sporting attire. Perhaps I'm a bit old fashioned.

Staff were really friendly, happy, helpful and polite. Our room was one that had not yet been renovated but was still lovely, spacious and clean. The kids had a separate room which they loved as we struggle to find hotels to accommodate 2 adults and 3 children. Pool was great, breakfast was lovely and the kids were delighted to get another swim in before we left.

The only downside was the heating didn't come on, the childrens room was cold by morning but they soon jumped into us to warm up. Also sad that there no longer seems to be an option to book a family room for 5 so we're unable to book a return visit 😔

The room was quite large and most of the items are new or renewed. The hotel is renovating rooms so this is a bonus. Breakfast was over expected just need cooked tomatoes for traditional English breakfast. Pool is fun for kids and nice. Parking is not a problem and it is a quite hotel for staying.

There was a wedding (which was fine) but I believe the hotel noise isolation was not good yet (still renovating). They may think to improve either noise isolation or restrict the wedding hours.

I have stayed at the hotel many times over the last few years and can see on each visit how the ongoing renovations are coming together to transform the look and feel of the hotel. Most, if not all of the rooms have already undergone a complete overhaul along with the all the public spaces restaurants bars and reception . The whole place is light and airy clean and inviting compared to several years ago and much recommended. Staff as always friendly and efficient and pleased to help

Lovely clean hotel, more than met our expectations. The staff were friendly and helpful. We felt welcomed and comfortable.

The room was rather warm. We were on the ground floor and did not feel it was safe enough to open the larger window as we noticed a security van at the back of the hotel. We didn’t like the fact we had to take our room key to get a key for the swimming pool and gym when the gym was opposite our room.

Room was beautiful, the staff were friendly and helpful. The spa pool area was lovely, much better than I expected. We were pleased to get a complimentary room upgrade as there was a wedding on and they didn't want us to be disturbed by the noise

Would've liked new coffee and clean cups for the additional stays, however I should've asked at reception as I'm sure they would have accommodated it.

Room, staff, room service, quiet for most of the stay and especially at night for restful sleep. the super king bed was fantastic and so comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful and not officious. One new young member of staff in the dining room was very helpful . She recognised I am disabled and went out of her way to assist me. I commended her to senior staff on leaving.

Regret the first morning, the breakfast provided for those wishing to have the last time slot was poor. felt that it was the leftovers from the earlier sittings. It was cold, tough inedible bacon, eggs that looked totally unappetising and a request for any mushrooms was denied as they had all gone. Why no warm plates? Next day much better but still no warm plates.

Lovely staff, clean, friendlly and easily located for visiting local shops etc. Excellent choice for food and staff were all friendly and welcoming

We were disappointed that the jacuzzi was out of order and ideally more loungers in the facilities would have been better but overall a lovely hotel well worth the money and will visit again. The rooms itself were a little dated but clean and comfortable would definitely benefit from some modernisation as in line with rest of the hotel but can see that there is ongoing works so guessing this is being carried out.
