Easy check in, very friendly staff, especially the woman who served us for breakfast in the morning, she was very sweet- didn’t catch her name unfortunately! We had the deluxe suite with a jacuzzi bath tub which was fabulous. Very clean and was very cool like a converted barn! Breakfast was really enjoyable, good selection of juices and again, the lady was very aware when we needed more coffee, very attentive. Hotel offered to kindly ring us a taxi to where we were going and gave us a card with the number on it for the way back. Check out was 11am so we went for a stroll around and it has a lovely pathway for a short walk if you want to. Overall a lovely experience and if we ever visit clitheroe again we will definitely be staying here.

Just a little petty point- possibly to have another large mirror somewhere in the room, as the only mirror was in the bathroom.

Lovely, quiet village location, with a short journey to Clitheroe town centre. Well kept grounds with outside seating and great views. Stunning looking building with fantastic hanging baskets. Room was very clean and tidy, breakfast was tasty and well cooked. Restaurant offered a good selection and service was prompt. Staff were pleasant and helpful.

Although very clean and tidy, the decor was a little eclectic in the public areas and had something of a late 80's /early 90's feel about it. Not to everyones taste. Our room felt a little dated but was clean and well maintained. The exterior sign and carriage lamps hadn't been cleaned in quite a while and spoiled the first impressions somewhat. Entrance way paintwork was scuffed and chipped and looked a little scruffy.

It has lots of character, the beer was lovely and our room was great. We stayed in the King room and it was very comfortable and large too. The bed was great, super big and the mattress quite firm, which we like. Unfortunately we didn’t get chance to try out the whirlpool bath but it looked very impressive. Our sleep was undisturbed and we didn’t hear a peep from anyone else in the other rooms. Breakfast was tasty and arrived quickly. From our room we had a view over the garden which looked lovely, with plenty of tables and chairs and I’m sure must be nice to enjoy a drink in, with the summer sun. The staff were also really friendly & helpful. We only stayed for one night, as we were attending a funeral, but we’d certainly consider staying for longer. Thoroughly recommend.

There wasn’t really anything we can think of.

We stayed here for a wedding in nearby Eaves Hall it’s only a 10 minute taxi ride away so perfect location if you’re booking for that reason. The room was comfortable and clean, just a little on the small side but still had good tea & coffee facilities and a spacious wardrobe to store your belongings. The breakfast was the best part, plenty to choose from the cold selection and the hot breakfast portions were huge (all of which is included in the price) Lovely grounds to rear of the hotel and free parking too All in all great service & stay thankyou :)

The room was very spacious with a view of Pendle. Heating was ok. Plenty of tea, coffee sachets and milk. Fresh biscuits each day. Comfortable bed. Range of lighting. Good size bathroom with shower and bath. Plenty of shower gel and shampoo. Good choice of traditional or continental breakfast. Dining menu was extensive. The choices we made were very good. All staff we met were obliging.

We had a small problem with the bath; the plug would not work. Also the window blind was damaged and after pulling down could not be raised again. Staff when informed set about the first problem which was solved but apparently the damaged blind had been around for some time.

Breakfast was delicious - quality products, well cooked to order and delivered quickly. The location is wonderfully peaceful and picturesque. Plenty of parking, which is a bonus these days. Good, powerful shower.

Room 1 - heavy door needs easing, so as not to disturb others when opening/ closing. Toilet seat needs adjusting, so that lid will not strike the cistern each time used. Taxi company recommended (Tiger) let us down, despite sending confirmation of booking and could not be contacted to query their no show.

The food was excellent. The staff very friendly and the room was clean and serviced every day. Though it was February the room was never cold. Everything went well.

Just one tiny niggle about my room - the TV had been set to wake me up at 3.00am by flashing its green light brilliantly and unignorably - I had to turn the TV on and off again to get it to stop - couldn't find the setting to stop it doing this.

Thoughtful staff, lovely touches in a spacious and stylish room- a big kettle, hot chocolate sachets, nice biscuits and a fantastic view from both windows. Beautiful dining room, again with a great view. The car broke down halfway through a long journey and the receptionist arranged for the pre-ordered bottle of wine to be chilling in an ice bucket on arrival on the hottest day of the year- a most welcoming sight, and greatly appreciated.

No criticism whatever.

Everything was top notch. The property is in a lovely country village and it is possible to go hiking right from the property. Our room was spacious, clean, well kept and overlooked the garden which was delightful. The breakfast was excellent and very generous. The restaurant had an extensive menu with plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. Everything was very nicely cooked and delicious. All staff were very friendly and helpful.

A little more awareness of the environment would be good, for instance didn’t like the single use plastic bottles for the shower gel, and we only stayed 2 nights but our towels were changed after the first night.

Room was spacious and clean (just lacked a soap tray or similar within the shower area). The breakfast was first class and the staff very pleasant. The grounds looked well maintained (but it was too wet to explore!). Ample car-parking.

The building as a whole would benefit from just a little tlc e.g. green algae on the conservatory roof and sills, small areas of wall paper peeling off the walls - but nothing major.
