Lovely hotel, very friendly serving staff in restaurant. Very nice room with added benefit of kitchen with cooking facilities. Very comfy bed and excellent shower. Quiet, spacious and clean.

The car parking states it is £24 for 24 hours, but in reality, it expires when you check out. We wanted to spend an extra 2 hours in Csmbridge after check out, but were told we would have to pay extra for the car park. In the end they gave us a free extension for 2 hours but we had enormous difficulty exiting the car park as our ticket did not work.

Extremely helpful and cheerful staff. Breakfast was the best I've ever had in a hotel - amazing selection of continental including smoked salmon, several kinds of cheese and cold meat plus salad. Lovely selection of fruit and pastries. Smoothie as well as fruit juice. Perfectly clean. Lovely bathroom. Good spa.

I didn't realise that the VAT wasn't included in the price shown on Booking.com. So the cost on arrival was more than expected. Breakfast was fantastic apart from cold scrambled egg. 24 hours parking is £24, which is a lot on top of hotel cost but all parking in Cambridge is understandably expensive.

The Hotel has a good location if you’re willing to put your walking shoes on and head over the bridge and down the steps to the riverside walk into the centre of Cambridge.The hotel is stylish and clean with a warm welcome from Dolly the Restaurant manager at breakfast. We stayed in a duplex apartment that accommodated 3 of us and allowed for extra space with our teenage son. The shower was great and the sofa bed downstairs comfortable. There’s a Cooperative store down the road and also a nice Chinese takeaway. Good pubs in walking distance.

When u arrive they ask for your debit card & charge it to £150 as a running tab & deposit. The parking is £24 a night so this mounted up as we stayed 3 nights. All air conditioning which was a trifle noisy. I turned it off upstairs as loud. All windows are sealed so can’t open them. The kitchenette was very useful, make sure u bring a dishcloth & washing up liquid. A small dishwasher is provided with a dishwashing pod they restock . No changing rooms for pool but can use the 2 toilets if needed.

The pool was great and our room was very comfortable. We used and enjoyed the restaurant for dinner and also breakfast. We enjoyed the non-alcoholic drinks options and also the downstairs pool table. The shower in our room was fantastic and the bed was very comfortable - great mattress, large, and lots of good pillows. The staff were very professional and generous, perfect.

The air conditioning was malfunctioning in our room and becoming way too warm in the middle of the night. We really needed it to be working to keep the room cool especially because we had a little baby with us. This was never fixed despite raising this issue at the start of our stay. A kind handyman did try to take the edge off it not working by changing the filter but this didn’t work.

Decor was beautiful. Room was nice and spacious. Breakfast was delicious.

Bar staff weren't very cheerful. Location wasn't very pretty. Check-in was lengthy and the birthday extra for my husband wasn't in the room when we arrived, although this was quickly rectified.

Excellent breakfast with so much choice and extra helpful staff who got me a special Decaff coffee as not on the machine. Location is a nice walk through a lovely park or along the river and very near the Punting Co. It was our Anniversary and my husbands birthday, and we both received warm wishes from all the reception team as soon as we checked in, they’d decorated our room so beautifully, with touching cards each. .such a friendly Hotel…..and it smells gorgeous as soon as you walk in!

The pool is a bit too warm but then it is a leisure pool so don’t expect to do laps 🤣 and go super early to avoid little ones…..but that’s all hotels

Everything about the hotel was gorgeous - so well put together. Dark, moody spaces yet still full of light. Staff were all great - helpful and professional. Suite was enormous and so well appointed. Beds comfy. Pool was great, with jets down one side. Breakfast was delicious - artisan breads, smoked salmon, an amazing pancake machine and a lovely melon, guava and carrot smoothie whilst we were there. Dressing gowns appreciated, and fab that you can use a separate lift down to the pool. Pool table in the bar area also great.

Sofa bed for second child wasn’t made up and only two towels for three people, but quickly made when requested. Showers and water fountain weren’t working by the pool.

Lovely hotel and nice room with lovely big bathroom. Super quiet. Really nice vibe in the bar in the evening and a nice place to have a drink. The walk into town along the river (under 10mins) is really easy and pretty although I would say that the immediate location of the hotel lets it down a bit - it may just have been at that specific time of the day/week and so would not put be off staying again as the hotel is absolutely lovely and it was nice being out of the very hectic city centre. The breakfast area is really nice and the staff were very friendly. Gym area a real bonus with a good range of equipment.

The pool was a lot smaller than I had realised so we did not make use of it as it was full.

There was plenty of space. Shower was decent, kitchen area was very handy. Bed was comfy. Good sized TV. Everything was clean and tidy. Had everything else we needed like hairdryer and iron and ironing board. Plus lots of storage space that we didn't need. Underground parking, while not cheap, was extremely convenient. Walkable to the city centre.

We were only supplied with half a roll of toilet roll. Also, the towels and robes weren't very soft. Was a bit put out by the £25 charge for room service for breakfast in the morning, so missed breakfast.

The restaurant, the bar and reception area were gorgeous, the whole hotel even smells nice from the moment you arrive! The luxe feel of the room was a lovely surprise too, every convenience had been conscientiously considered and matched the vibe of the room. We loved our stay and would come back again.

A heated towel rail in the bathroom, we struggled to dry our swimsuits and towels enough for a morning swim the next day. It would be fine for a 2 night stay, but overnight was a bit of a struggle to dry in time. And perhaps a few more options for channels on the telly...? But that's me really stretching for negatives there! Overall it was gorgeous and felt like a real retreat into luxury for a night (much needed for two bedraggled, wrung-out parents!)
