The breakfast choice was very varied and cooked fresh when you sat down at your table. The service received was very good as well. Staff were friendly and attentive without being in the way. My wife and I were visiting family and spent a lot of time at the hotel but there were no rules about staying out between certain hours and we were able to come and go as we pleased.

to be totally honest there was nothing to complain about except perhaps the car park. It was not easy to find and very limited.

Everything! Lovely little hotel in the centre of Chard. Ensuite king-size double bedroom which was immaculate. Excellent breakfast. Small family run business. The owners are very welcoming and it was a joy to chat with them. They provided us with a lovely relaxed stay. As a small hotel (6 rooms), it provides a personal touch that you wouldn't get from a larger commercial hotel.

The dining room/restaurant is small as you might expect but the food and service were excellent

Staff were so very kind and helpful when we arrived late and tired after a long journey and car incident. Came out to advise on parking, carried bags to room, friendly and smiley. Room was clean and bed was comfy, everything we needed was supplied. Breakfast was really good, tasty and freshly cooked, and was served early so that we could dash off to get the car repaired. Such kindness in our time of need!

1) The food for breakfast and dinner was very high quality and very tasty. The fruit platter at breakfast was a delight and i had it every day! 2) Air conditioning was divine during one of the hottest weekends of the year 3) The shower had good water pressure and was easily controlled & lovely after a long hot day 4) Chard is near a lot of good places to visit 5) Generous amounts of good quality bottled water, coffee and biscuits in room. 6) The owners were really helpful and friendly

1) The pillows were a bit hard 2) Not much to do in Chard itself - although it was helpful to have Sainsbury's next door for things I'd forgotten and left at home 3) The parking was a bit hard to find on the first night

Excellent customer service, and because of my earlier starts I had a take out breakfast made for me everyday which included the best fresh fruit salad. Delicious- Thank you.

Front access to accommodation easy to find but the allocated parking around the back was a little more challenging, but once located excellent facility and lots of cameras for security. Ideal .

The hotel was located right in the middle of Chard. Easy access to amenities. Really well presented.The room was lovely and spacious and very comfortable with thoughtful little additional touches. Karine was really friendly and helpful. For what we wanted we couldn't fault it.

There was nothing we didn't like. We had a perfect overnight stay.

Well organised and friendly - breakfast was good and ordered in advance so no waiting. Nice atmosphere to the restaurant and nicely done out room and spacious bathroom. Also ate there in the evening and one of the only places that can offer top quality, well cooked (ie not very) steak. Absolutely lovely.

Stairs were a bit steep, but nothing else was a problem

The breakfast was excellent. Similarly, the restaurant; Choices were ample and portions generous. Service was attentive and thorough.

The only comment is that there was nowhere to rest the suitcase in the room called Seagrass (I think) but everything else was just fine; it really was!

We had a lovely two night stay. The room was comfortable and a good size for the three of us (including our son), with an expansive bathroom (very good shower). Breakfast was delicious, offering a great variety of hot and cold, healthy and less healthy(!) options. And service was perfect: ready for us when we arrived, attentive but unfussy at breakfast.
