The reception staff were lovely and very welcoming. Our room was comfortable, spacious and spotlessly clean. The bed was fabulously comfortable we had an excellent night's sleep. The buffet breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. The spa facilities are quite compact, the pool was a nice temperature though not very big. The steam-room, despite being only big enough for four people at a time, was nice and hot, the two heated lounger beds were very nice too. The spa was never too busy to get into the pool but swimming was pretty limited once there were half a dozen people in it. There was a wedding reception on while we were there but the reception staff had very thoughtfully given us a room away from the noise of the party.

The sauna was hogged by four or five local guys for most the evening and when we finally got a chance to try it, after breakfast the following morning when the spa was virtually empty, it smelt so strongly of stale sweat from the previous evening we came out after 30-seconds. The lounger area on the poolside was pretty much a big puddle, which was still there the following morning. The lack of routine cleaning in the spa after closing at 8:00pm let the place down badly. Our only other criticism is the lack of a slip-mat in our bathroom for the shower.

The location was ideal for a family occasion. Breakfast was very nice. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

It was disappointing the swimming pool was closed. In our room, it was very difficult to access a free plug socket. Even to use the kettle, you had to lift the tray from the shelf under the TV and plug it in behind the TV. I am aware the hotel has Spa facilities but it seemed rather odd men and women sitting around in the reception area and going to the bar in Bath robes!

The staff are all very happy and speak even walkung through a corridor. The facilities team obviously take grest pride in their depts as the place was spotless. Lovely clean bathroom and dust free. Requested a quiet room and it was perfect. Lovely COMFY bed had best sleep I've had in months. Spa, sauna & pool area nice and quiet and relaxing. Breakfast was usual English with danish pastries, toast etc and option for cerals and pirridge. Decent sausage too. Everything FAB. Definitely going to book for April and July next time I'm in the area. Thanks to all the team at Bridgewood Hotel & Spa.

Neighbouring field is sadly used as a dumping ground/allotment but that waa only visible on opening curtains. It wasn't inkeeping with rest of the hotel but if they don't own that area probably not much they can do.

The room was very comfortable, and beautifully decorated inside, I thought. Bed was great and pillows were perfect; great quality. Breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts I've had in a long time! They even catered for my dietary requirements (gluten-free), which was excellent. The eggs were beautifully done!

There is an issue with their water/shower system on the property. I stayed in room 26, and the shower could not maintain a steady temperature; it would constrantly go from scortching hot to freezing cold. Not ideal, and needs to be addressed immediately!

Comfortable bed, space, tea etc., phone charger, room service good and polite, housekeeping person very nice and polite and friendly and helpful *** Products for use in bathroom very nice. All the staff I came into contact with were very nice and I would have liked to single 3 out, but I don't know their names. Generally the location of the hotel was quiet and the grounds were kept quite nice too.

Decor is dull and out of date, no extractor in bathroom and nowhere to hang towels to dry. Great place for parties, but I kept closing the corridor doors to try to distance the noise from our room, but they kept being held back ! - don't know what can be done about that really.

NO AC, ROOM WAS HOT WHEN I ARRIVED AND THE VERTICAL FLOOR FAN INADEQUATE TO COOL IT DOWN. NO WALL SOCKETS BESIDE BED. NO FRIDGE IN ALL STANDARD ROOMS OR MICROWAVE. YOU DID KINDLY PUT A RECREATIONAL FRIDGE IN MY ROOM FOR MEDICATIONS WHICH BARELY GOT COOL. IN THE USA AMENITIES IN A STANDARD ROOM FOR A LOT LOT LESS MONEY ARE A GIVEN. I GAVE A 10 IN MY SCORE AS THE HOTEL OVERALL WAS GOOD AND HANDY LOCATION FOR ALL MY NEEDS. MAN IS THAT ASDA A CHARITY STORE NEXT DOOR.

One of the best buffet breakfast I have had in a hotel in a long time. Was very quiet in room while I was there Full size tv so no wishing you had brought a pair of binoculars to watch the small tv 15 foot from bed as in a lot of hotels

The bath is a bit narrow so when you have a shower my feet were not flat on the bath and with the shampoo etc at other end from shower felt a bit like walking a tightrope going from one to another. But i am in my 60,s so would probably not affect most people

First time staying at Bridgewood, I’ve been there to use the swimming pool and gym facilities and been there for meals in the past so already knew that the hotel was lovely, the nights stay was comfortable and relaxing I wish I could have stayed another night!

No fault of the hotel but there was a particular roudy party shouting verbal abuse at my partner in the evening and there was some damage caused in the reception area by these people, upside I did feel safe and secure in my room

All the staff were lovely and helpful the room was lovely and clean due to the staff 😀 the food was good especially there chips 🍟 😋 so crispy me little ELF summer such a beautiful person inside and out and BILLY AND LIVI G was so pleased to see them working side by side again good team work I couldn't fault the hotel at all see you all very soon for Christmas Kay

The front of house staff were very friendly and approachable. (In fact that was true of ALL staff). I had an issue with my suitcase. The key would not open the lock. I observed the teamwork of staff in action, troubleshooting the problem. They eventually managed to help resolve the issue. I was then able to open my suitcase. Thank you again. Also I needed to book a further reservation for one extra night. This was swiftly completed and I was able stay in a comfortable room thanks to the support of staff.

Everything was fine. One suggestion would be to add some lighting to the board displaying the hotel (near the motorway), so that it can be seen more clearly during the day and at night as people are approaching the hotel from the slip road.
