Good selection on menu for dinner. Bathroom needs upgraded Breakfast choice was good staff not the most attentive at times.

Having to asked to be served at breakfast people arrived after us but served before us. Asking for orange juice to be filled up at breakfast and no rolls or muffins at breakfast staff should be more attentive to replenishing before having to ask. Requested a bottle of Prosecco to be put in the room as it was my husband's 60th birthday but this was not done and reception did know anything about it had to show the e mail I received and was asked if I had replied to it to which I had.

very helpful housekeeping and waiting staff. quiet location. very comfortable bed.

the room though large and with a four poster bed was quite basic and sparsely furnished for a premier room. a small settee would have been nice - there was plenty of room for one. the two tub chairs provided looked nice but were not really comfortable for relaxing in - too small and arms too high. also tv was fixed to wall so you could only watch it from the bed - would have been good if it had been on a bracket so it could be repositioned to be viewed from seating area.

The staff (especially the manager) were amazing. Nothing was to much bother. It was wonderfully quiet. The bar has some amazing whisky stocked. It is fantastically situated so u can have the peace and quiet you want or take a stroll into dunfermline where there is an amazing night life. The food in the restaurant was beautiful as well.

Not so much didn't like but in places the paint work needed some tlc and I think housekeeping may need to be reminded of all the areas that need checking in a room. I only say this as I do the job myself on a fulltime basis so know where to look. Sorry being really picky.

Room was very spacious, the food was excellent. The staff were very helpful, personable and professional. The swimming pool was great!

The hot water supply in the room was disappointing - it took a long time for it to 'come down' and wasn't overly warm when it did come. The shower was also disappointing in terms of power, temperature and overall quality.

Rooms comfortable and tea tray ample. Breakfast was really nice and we enjoyed the swimming pool and sauna.

First table we were given at breakfast was covered with ants and they were running about on floor at that table too. I stayed there previously a couple of years ago and the ant problem was the same in exactly the same place. Please use some ant traps as very off-putting at the breakfast table. I reported this to staff and was given another table but obviously the problem has not been dealt with.

Staff were lovely and very helpful. Food was excellent. Hotel was clean and nicely decorated throughout. Our room was huge and the bed was meant to be queen but would've said it was easily a king there was so much room. Bathroom was clean with a huge bath and thick towels. Outside view onto a well kept green. The bar was very cosy in the evenings.

Mattress's were very hard. Was ok for the 2 nights however wouldn't of wanted to sleep on them for much longer. Found my back and neck sore by end of stay. However may be personal preference as our bed at home is very soft.

The hotel was spotless, the staff were so friendly and helpful especially Anna who’s meet and greet at breakfast made us feel valued. The breakfast was lovely, loads to choose from, our room was big, airy & spotless with a good size en-suite also spotless. Lovely location, we got the train into Edinburgh from Dunfermline where we could park and ride which was brilliant. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back.

There was nothing we didn’t like

Really lovely and attentive staff. My partner uses a wheelchair and the staff helped us out whenever we needed them. The disabled guest facilites were really good (though I would say adding a seat to the walk in showers might be a good next step). Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable.

Food was outstanding and prices for dinner were very reasonable. Breakfast was delicious and there was so much choice. Our room...was absolutely wonderful. The door leading out to the gardens was a dream! Very clean. Luxury at such a wonderful price. We stayed for 3 nights and staff were so wonderful. We chose Keavil House because it was so close to our wedding venue but it felt miles away from the city. We relaxed in the pool and jacuzzi the day after our wedding and it was so clean and relaxing. Although we weren't getting married there, the staff treated us like royalty. One member of staff even helped me into my wedding car! Brilliant customer service and we will be back!

Jason the manager was able to help me ( quite last minute) to change the booking dates and to include my new puppy making sure he had access to a garden room, all before I was due to arrive. The staff were great during our stay in every area from cleaning to room service. The leisure facilities are a bonus.

It's a small thing and I understand that no pets are allowed in the restaurant: however they are allowed in the bar area. An option for food even light meals or bar snacks would be good ( there is no bar food not even nuts or crisps). The room service ( food is great) is a option however eating from a tray or the dressing table in a bedroom is functional rather than enjoyable, especially as there is no table/ chair facility
