We were on a weekend break from our busy lives in Edinburgh. This B&B absolutely exceeded our expectations. Location was perfect, quietly located on a hilltop with stunning views over the Firth of Forth. Easy to find with the sat nav and we had a lovely friendly welcome from Chris, the owner. We did not order breakfast as we like a good lie in, so had brought croissants to have with a cuppa when we got up. Really enjoyed sitting in the chairs and looking at the gorgeous views. The interior of the suite was very high spec, tea and coffee in abundance and fresh milk provided. Chris was a wealth of knowledge with regards to the local area, and had many recommendations of what to see and where to eat. We had dinner one night at Louies and the following night at The Compass. Both were lovely and served good food, however Louies was probably a higher standard. We stayed for drink there too on the first night and it was an easy 10-15 min walk back to the B&B. On our second night we walked down to the tavern in Hillend village, which was a really quaint and very local pub. Absolutely worth a visit, everyone was friendly and welcoming, even the pub dog! We managed to visit lots of towns in the local area, including Aberdour, Burntisland, Kirkcaldy, Dunfermline and Rosyth. Everything seemed to be just a 10 min. drive away! All in all we really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful B&B and would definitely recommend it to others. You won't regret it!

The fridge in the room was quite noisy, turning on and off every half hour during the night. Not fun if you are a light sleeper like me, but I brought my ear plugs so it wasn't a problem.

Chris the host was amazing! He provided wonderful insight on things to do and tips for getting around with the fringe and tattoo on. The breakfast were brilliant and the room large, well appointed and we loved watching the sunset and sunrise. Oh and emaculately clean. We drove our own car and used the onsite parking. But he happily picks up guests from the nearby rail station if they have baggage etc. There is a local pub, restaurant, shops etc.

Nothing, was the best stay in 3+ weeks of travelling through Europe and UK.

The place is amazing - very nicely located close to train station to Edinburgh. Train takes 30 minutes to city center and is very convenient way to travel. Dalgety Bay is very beautiful community - extremely clean and very nice people- we had very nice weather to explore the area and costal line. There are shops and restaurants 10-15 minutes walk from Bay and Bridge. Host - Chris is amazing host , very nice person to talk to and ask questions. He gave us lots of tips and ideas. We eat one morning also Scottish breakfast which was very filling and delicious. Would like to visit the place again.

Nothing at all.

The Bay suite was very spacious, and the view was amazing. We had a lovely couple of hours sitting on the balcony in the sun with a bottle of wine just watching the ships and the planes and enjoying the view and the peace of the evening. We opted to have a continental breakfast which was a really lovely hamper of treats in our room which was very reasonably priced. The room has a fridge, toaster, kettle and coffee machine as well as the necessary crockery - there's a wee dining table in the window and we spent a lot of time just sitting watching the view change as the evening drew in. It was just lovely! We hope to return soon!

There's only a very limited amount of parking so if you're travelling by car you might not get a space!

Very clean it has enough cupboard space for your clothes, there Is a hairdryer and a small fridge with very small freezer compartment inside it ideal for ice cream etc there is kettle, coffee pod machine with pods, tea bags sugar sachets complimentary pack of biscuits 2 in each pack, bathroom spacious very clean with bath towels, hand and face towels supplied also travel shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and hand soap. Owners very friendly nothing too much of bother, scottish breakfast is at extra cost but so tasty, there is also continental breakfast with orange or apple juice and yogurt. The views from the property are excellent loved them oh and if you require a parking space let owners know. Very quiet place to relax. There are 2 places nearby for eating in The Compass food is good and tasty it's about 10-15 minute walk and staff very friendly. Louie Brown's Bar is the better of the both as it was busy but still had tables available atmosphere was more like a going out bar staff very friendly very tasty food.

We thought the room we booked had a bath as we have shower at home but sadly it had shower only, I felt mattress was a bit hard for me but hubby slept very soundly like a log 😁 What would be really good is if all guests received a map with walking directions to the compass and Louie Brown's bar as we walked wrong way for 20 mins 😁 before realised walking wrong way.

Our hosts, Chris and Claire, were extremely welcoming and wonderfully accommodating. The room was exactly what we needed. Very clean, comfortable and with all the facilities we could ask for. Access to the room and the property in general was simple enough (but still secure). It was also easy to access the accommodation via our chosen means of transport (in our case, exclusively via trains and walking). But had we needed to, access via car, taxi or bus would have been feasible. Chris also very kindly dropped us back at the station after check-out, a much appreciated gesture. Excellent value for money and in such a wonderful location. Out of the city, but exactly what we wanted for a more relaxed stay away from home. We certainly intend to return at next soonest opportunity, hopefully with friends/family in tow as well.

No negatives.

First, wanted to say Chris is outstanding! He was so helpful while our flights were getting canceled and interrupting his plans and ours. So, accommodating. The location is beautiful and just outside of Edinburgh but extremely close to Buses and Trains and a quick trip into the heart of Edinburgh. We also ate at some restaurants in the village. The view from the balcony is amazing. The beds were very comfortable. We didn't have breakfast at the B&B, so I can't comment on that.

We loved that we were away from the city yet the train station into Edinburgh was a 5 min walk away and for £6.10 and a half hour trip we were in the city. Chris and Claire were exceptional hosts and couldn’t do enough to help us in every way. Our room was very clean and well supplied and although we didn’t have breakfast there the dining area was very nice and breakfast smelled delicious. Very good value for the money and the view from the deck ,where we sat and enjoyed the first evening ,was gorgeous . We would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Edinburgh and area. The bed was so comfortable that we slept in and the shower was wonderful too. There was also a great bathtub for those who prefer one.

Wow, where do I begin? Absolutely, everything was just perfect! Chris was full of recommendations. He is incredibly friendly and welcoming and just a genuinely nice person. We went to Louis Brown's on his recommendation, and wow, the food was gorgeous! The BnB itself, our room and the views - WOW!!! I genuinely can't wait to book to come back! If we could live here, we would. The area is stunning. Chris went above and beyond when we got back after our first day at comic con, and my chronic illnesses decided to flare up. I was in an insane amount of pain, and Chris brought up a hot water bottle for me. He even made sure to check on me the next day to see how I was feeling. His kindness will NOT be forgotten.

This BnB is very stylish and in a high end, extremely safe neighborhood near Dalgety Bay train station. The house is new and very clean. The pillows are the most comfortable in the world, seriously I'm going to have to try to find some for home, they are the best. And it's SO quiet at night for a wonderful night's sleep. Everything you need is provided. Toiletries, towels, iron and ironing board, mini fridge. Milk for your in room tea and coffee. Privacy is assured with an ensuite bathroom and a door bolt lock. Chris even carried my heavy suitcase up and down the stairs for me, which was very appreciated. Breakfast is delicious and fresh. The fruit is local and amazing. Each piece seemed to be especially chosen and placed like a work of art. I don't think I've ever been served such a pristine , sweet, perfectly ripe cup of berries in my life. The croissant was crisp and very nice. One of the owners, Chris, is very convivial and amiable. He is so very helpful and kindhearted. Reach out to him in advance with your travel details if you need anything at all. He went above and beyond for me and my comfort. You don't have to figure everything out yourself, as far as getting there, just contact him. He has an impressive professional manner, yet also makes you feel very comfortable and at home. Efficient, respectful, but not stuffy. It's best to ask questions in advance, so you are well cared for. I easily got to Dunfermline and Edinburgh by train from a station only a five minute drive from the BnB. Chris gives excellent directions and assistance. It's about a ten minute walk. Early check in can sometimes be arranged with a small fee. Which really helped me after a sleepless overnight flight from the U.S. The bed is very comfortable. It's positively silent at night. I also appreciated the very clean shower, the vanity, and makeup mirror.
