I have stayed at this hotel several times in the past when visiting friends in Hythe. It is the most economic hotel that I have found in Hythe offering a bathtub, and a reasonable degree of comfort. I was in a room called 'Hythe' this time, and probably the best room allocated to me so far. There is free parking, which is normally available, but if it is full, there is no alternative, as far as I know. The staff are helpful and obliging. Help is offered with taking your suitcase etc upstairs, and if you can find anybody in the morning, help is given then also. Breakfast is usually offered in the morning, but at extra charge, which is quite expensive. As I have normally eaten well the day before, and on occasions breakfast has not been available, I normally take my own packed breakfast to be on the safe side.

Consistency in the provision of breakfast. It is an older building, and there are several odd stairs as you navigate around the building, which you need to keep an eye out for. There is no lift available. There can be noise from the bars on the ground floor, but this disappears by 10.30pm.

The host was very helpful and pleasant. The hotel and room were nicely decorated with a contemporary style, very clean and bright. Bed was comfortable with crisp linen. There were generous tea and coffee facilities in the room. The bar/pub and restaurant were traditional and filled with very friendly locals.

This isn't so much a dislike but the building is the better part of 300 years old and disability access standards would be impossible to meet. There are several flights of stairs and steps to navigate to get to the rooms. No elevator is available.

Stayed here before a trip to Disneyland. Location was ideal for easily accessing Le Shuttle. Staff were friendly and helpful. We had the family room and it was perfect for the short stay we had.

The carpark was exceptionally small, however a member of staff did move his car for us so we could fit in. The family room is directly above the pub downstairs, so we had a lot of bass sound from the music vibrating through the room which wasn’t ideal with two children and the need for an early morning, however that being said, the music stopped at 11o’clock so it wasn’t the end of the world!

The shower made a loud noise The window wouldn’t stay open The wifi was broken during our stay

We loved the staff especially the lady who is married to the chef, sorry we never got your name. You are amazing and made our stay. The rooms are large and clean with comfy bed. All you need really in perfect location. We ate in the pub, lovely homemade burger and we ate in the restaurant Nepalese which was incredible. The cocktails are to die for. Overall we had a great time, really cheered me up as having bit of a bad time at the moment with illness. We were made to feel so welcome by all staff and locals, we had such a laugh, thank you.

Great place , lovely little bar with jukebox sky sports ect. People friendly, wife have a curry said it was great . Food and drink very reasonable.. The only downside was we had no hot water during the night ,yet about 8 ish in morning when we left water started warming up so if on a timer don't understand..

No hot water during night , hopefully this will be sorted , we have been here 3 or 4 times and been great so hopefully 1 off blip .. would recommend..

All staff members were friendly and helpful. The room was functional, but comfortable enough. The location was perfect: right in the middle of the High Street and close to the Royal Military canal, the sea and the historic St. Leonard's Church with its ossuary.

We couldn't get into reception on the day that we were leaving, as both front and back doors were locked. We finally had to ring the doorbell from the car park side and tell the cleaner that we were going.

The location was fine and convenient for our trip to a wedding venue. We were booked in promptly and shown to our room. The keypad lock on the doors were more convenient than the risk of losing a key. Plenty of tea & coffee available

The only complaint I would note is that our cups should have been thoroughly cleaned as there were lip marks on the cups. It wasn't worthy of a complaint as I cleaned them myself. (My apologies to the hotel as I left coffee stains on the towel)

Couldn't have breakfast here as the chef was on holiday but the staff directed us to different alternatives. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Room was spacious and modern, directly in the middle of town. Tea, coffee, water and towels were provided with shampoo, soap and shower gel also given. Parking was available but would advise arriving around checkin time as it was very busy.

Shower head was very small and a bit outdated but good water pressure.

The staff were great and very accommodating. The food in the restaurant was really good with really pleasant staff there too. Great facilities.

The floor of the room we were in was dirty which was like it from the start. The mattress wasn't that comfortable. Noises from outside the onsite pub which went on till early hours of the morning, this was both Friday and Saturday night which was disturbing our sleep.
