We were greeted by a lovely friendly member of staff on arrival. We immediately knew we would be happy at this hotel. Our room was spacious and comfortable with a wonderful sea view. A very pleasant surprise. The restaurant and bar areas are relaxed and enjoyable to use. The breakfasts were plentiful, with a good variety of choices. The fresh fruit was delicious. The restaurant and bar staff were very welcoming, helpful and friendly. The evening meals were superb and we ate there 3 nights. A first class hotel. Thank you.

Rooms were a good size and reasonably priced. Breakfast was really good and again good price. The staff were lovely.

They charge £25 per dog to stay, we had two dogs so our stay incurred an additional cost of £50, which is quite excessive. I did not see this advertised when booking.

Upon arrival, we were made to feel very welcome, which set us up for the weekend. Although we hadn't booked the restaurant, we ordered food in the bar area which was very tasty and flavoursome and the atmosphere within was warm and lovely. Our room was located on the 4th floor, so the view was great and the bed was so comfortable. The same staff who greeted us at breakfast during our stay was so warm, friendly, and helpful. The location is perfect, and I would definitely recommend a stay.

Unfortunately, as it was a slightly windy night, the air vent in the bathroom rattled which would or could wake you and we had a resident seagull on the ledge which when she finished her morning cry would settle and be quiet. In the scheme of a lovely weekend, these were minor things.

The room - on the top floor - was very clean and of a good size and was warm but also air conditioned. The bed was comfortable and the ensuite shower/toilet was bright, modern and looked quite new. The housekeeper kept our room very neat and tidy for us throughout our stay. The staff members whom we met during our stay were extremely friendly and helpful, especially the breakfast room people. The breakfast was for the most part quite good. It consisted of a great variety of food items which were plentiful and generally of good quality. It was enjoyable. The hotel in general is worth staying at for its excellent position on the Leas - great staff, great views, quiet, great walks yet very close to the refurbished harbour arm that IS Folkestone!

I didn't think much to the fried eggs - maybe in the future they could be cooked to order to prevent them from having solid yolks!? Restaurant food was a bit pricey.

Liked it all. The building is very smart, a very welcoming reception area, and the young lady on reception at the time was very professional, however extremely friendly, explained about the car parking, and answered any queries I had. The room, superior, was very large, very clean, with all the facilities you would need. The bathroom was of a very good size, with a brilliant over head shower, but also a hand shower to. Bottled water was provided each day, and the room cleaning each day was of a very high standard. The bed was very large and comfortable. Breakfast, wow, best hotel breakfast I have ever had. The location was perfect, Just a little way from the hustle and bustle of the centre. Parking was easy, many allotted roads, clearly explained, very cheap, all sorted at reception on arrival. Bar area was cosy, but bright and airy. Also very clean.

Only one thing. The ugly heavy sofa bed in front of the gorgeous bay window making the view difficult to appreciate............and thats it.

Easy access from the station to the hotel. Barely 5-10 minutes. Very pleasant and helpful reception and restaurant staff. Beautiful view of the English Channel from my window. Lovely walk track along the Leas just a few steps from the hotel. The hotel has accessibility options for wheelchair users and a lift. The room was clean and warm with a clean bathroom and walk-in shower. The room had the basic amenities of tea/coffee maker, small cupboard safe, complimentary biscuits, bathroom shampoo and wash lotion. The TV had many standard channels - good options for watching. The internet was good too. I loved the placement of the old type of telephone in the room with the pull-out tray for the address book. Although the circular dial had push buttons in it, it provided a rustic touch which I liked. The hotel has a good selection of breakfast to suit most tastes. A 15 minute walk along the Leas bring one into city centre where there is a good selection of restaurants.

I was quite comfortable and didn't find anything to complain about. I suppose a small fridge in the room would have been nice - but nothing that I couldn't do without.

We had a very pleasant stay in this hotell. The staff are friendly and efficient. Our room was small but nicely decorated, clean and comfortable.. We did the dinner, bed and breakfast option for two nights which was really good value and the food was tasty. They also do some nice cocktails in the bar so we made the most of happy hour (between 4 and 8). Will definitely return.

Our room on the 4th floor was a bit too warm during the night (even with the window open) and the cooked buffet breakfast items and the cappuccino from the self serve machine could be a bit hotter.

Excellent location. Lovely large rooms. Staff were very helpful and efficient. Good food served in light and bright surroundings. Dog friendly. Highly recommended.

The bed was comfortable but the pillows were not. Both were very hard. One was too high and the other too flat. They need replacement. Dogs are not allowed in the restaurant in the evening but they are allowed in a separate space in the restaurant in the morning. I don’t understand the logic of that and we had to dine in the reception area. Also check in was very slow as only one staff member was able to manage check in. It was a busy time and took about 30 minutes to get to the front of the queue. That may have been a one off situation though. Having said all that I would stay again at this excellent hotel but would bring my own pillow!

Great friendly helpful customer service at reception. Nice big clean rooms and bathroom. Nice views, high ceiling and big blackout curtains. Nice smelling toiletries. Big clean wardrobe. Would definitely stay again. Thank you

Not a complaint, just personal preferences to maybe include green tea bags with the English breakfast tea by the kettle. Shower rail a little loose but still functional. Safe not working but we didn't use it so not a problem. One side lamp stopped working early morning but main still worked. Phone and t.v remote was slightly greasy. Requires £5 payment for parking between 8am-8pm but we found free parking after 8pm after our dinner.
