I came for a city break with my four legged pal. The hotel was very accommodating to my furry companion. Staff were lovely and extremely helpful. A great location for walks along the coastline with a good choice of dog friendly places to eat quite nearby but a good choice of food options in the hotel restaurant too. The room was clean, spacious and very warm when it got cold outside. Small garden within the hotel grounds for quick toilet breaks for doggo in the early hours too. Had originally booked for 2 nights only but extended my stay an extra night as I loved the location so much. Definitely will stay again.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. This hotel has a very nice location in the vicinity of the sea with a view of the sea from some of the rooms.

The lift responded rather slowly after we pressed the knobs. In view of the limited number of parking spaces in front of the hotel, we were rather disappointed to see two more parking spaces sacrificed to make way for electric car charging terminals. Was it really necessary to sacrifice those two parking spaces in this way?

The room was really nice, way smaller than I thought but really comfy and clean. The whole hotel is spotlessly clean, in every single corner. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast is fresh and has a good variety. Food and drinks really good.The location is just perfect. A special thank you to the restaurant team, especially Gan - the manager and lovely Jasmine. They really make the difference.

Room service - it was overall good but could do with more attention to details eg steak knife when needed! Tv is really dated, not smart so I could not mirror my programs Bed mattress could be better

Comfortable, clean and cosy room with a lovely well equipped bathroom. We appreciated the original architectural features and sympathetic tasteful decor. Breakfast was delicious with a wide ranging menu to choose from. Our dog was made so welcome with a dog friendly lounge bar, and a bed and bowl in the room. Staff offered exceptional service and made us feel really well looked after and relaxed. Dinner and drinks were also excellent. We absolutely love the location on The Leas - perfect for walking our dog. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and cannot wait to return!

Great location right next to the Leas for walking and a few minutes down to the beach onto Folkestone Harbour or to Sandgate. Parking limited at the hotel, on street parking available outside but need to purchase parking permits some free parking around the side of the hotel. We stayed 2 nights in the Junior Suite. Room was large and comfortable clean lovley bed, nice views overlooking the green. Reception staff were very helpful when checking in and helping take our luggage to the room. Breakfast was good in the morning choice from buffet and menu items available to order.

The location is perfect - lovely for visitors to walk along the sea front and conveniently visit the town centre for groceries and explore a wide range of different restaurants and bars - I was really surprised with the various cuisines available and the lovely atmosphere Folkestone comes with towards the evening and night time given the calm, quaint atmosphere provided through the day. Despite the scaffolding present upon arrival, the interior is stunning! I believe one concern I had (which thankfully did not affect myself) was accessibility for reduced mobile/disabled visitors - I hope this was either not visible to myself or such access is through the restaurant where then a list is accessed to ground floor where the reception is located. I did not dine at the restaurant in the evening but my friends who also travelled and stayed with you had and the food looked divine! Certainly would want to visit again and stay for the food alone. Thankfully, I did choose breakfast as part of my stay for both mornings and was not disappointed - no suggestions or concerns with it. 100% satisfaction granted. The room is also of lovely interior crossing from an old fashioned royal décor in the bedroom of the window and bed, going into simple stylish modernism from the vanity table in the bedroom to the bathroom - loved the design of the walk-in shower and the hobs in it! Decent space/storage to make of should stay more than 2 nights. Ironing facilities can be brought to the room upon request from the reception - lovely big ironing board which still thankfully does not impact room/access if/when left up. No issues at all with the ironing, electricity or water - thankfully did not need the heating but I would love to stay in winter time upon my next visit and even then I would not be surprised if I would not need the heating as the room was cosy and seemingly well insulated. Thank you very much for the excellent stay.

We were attending a Wedding locally and the hotel was suggested. Our room had been refurbished and was very comfortable with a super shower in a lovely bathroom. We had a coffee machine and the hospitality tray was very well stocked. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. We ate in the bar, which was delicious and reasonably priced. Nice breakfast buffet, I ordered scrambled eggs from the menu which were delicious. If going to Folkestone again we would go back to the Burlington. Well done 👏

There was bottled apple juice instead of water in the room. It was delicious, but would have preferred at least 1 bottle of water. We obviously used tap water, which was fine, but maybe consider putting a bottle of water on the amazing hospitality tray.

Lovely bathroom. View from the room, ornateness and character of the building. Felt very clean and looked after.

Limited parking, very tight (not off to good start by not being able to park) and someone (not hotel's fault) blocking by parking at entrance to hotel. One of the double glazed windows needs replacing which spoilt the view from that window. Desk space a little narrow and the chair provided not really suitable if you were doing work - fortunately only needed 1 hour working time but would have asked for replacement chair . Some of the drawers were difficult to open -not that we really needed to use them . Felt it was a little overpriced but then again it is summer, seaside ......

Breakfast on second day, had to wait 30 minutes with my elderly mother. Was not aware had to book. Reception did not tell us It was not the staffs fault at all they were doing their very best in the restaurant, it was, because a large party had come down at once, but I feel if the hotel books in a big wedding party, It should then put on extra staff to cater for the breakfast to help the staff already there. Food running out etc

Loved everything about my stay. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, as was all the communal areas and garden. Booked a small double, not quite sure what to expect (quite possibly a cupboard as with other hotels!!). As it was, I had a smaller version of a larger room with the same high standards, room over looking the gardens . The absolute best thing that made my stay was the professional attitude of all the staff I met. A special thank you to the reception staff and managers who did everything to help this morning. I said I'd write a truthful and amazing review to highlight the wonderful staff in this hotel. There were no complaints! If you're unlucky enough to have to use the residential parking , i consider the £6.00 charge more than makes up for the location, views, and ambience !! This is not the fault of or control of the staff team.. Would I recommend absolutely yes If I ever need to stay in Folkstone again, this is my number one choice.
