Good parking. Warm welcome. Attentive owners. Quiet location. Good beds therefore good sleep. Good hearty breakfast. Very comfortable lounge with tv. Use of dining area for lunch or evening meal. Nice gardens with outdoor seating. Owners giving great service and always available for advice.

The ensuite door did not close properly and the shower was not powerful enough . ( We accept the fact that this is a converted listed farmhouse and neither of these things spoiled our stay )

It was like going back to my childhood & staying in the countryside with my grandma & granddad, feeling total at home, not feeling we had to leave the house if we felt we wanted to chill out & relax in the comfortable surroundings. Breakfast was individually cooked to order when we arrived for breakfast & was superbly cooked with huge portions just like grandma used to cook & served up by our excellent host Les, nothing was too much to ask 😍Everything was perfect, we couldn’t fault anything during our stay & we are already recommending it to friends & family & we will be returning 👍

A beautiful location - in an area increasingly dominated by busy roads Oakenholt is an oasis of green fields and chattering birds. The hosts were helpful and friendly, the breakfast delicious and the room clean and welcoming, with a lovely view over garden and fields.

The fact that I hadn't found Oakenholt for previous trips - there are very few establishments that make allowance for lone travellers as this one does.

We had a very nice room with Shower which was a bit slow and that is the only downside of our stay. I appreciate that it is difficult to get extra power in an older building. We especially enjoyed watching the birds on the feeders. Breakfast was amazing, well cooked and well presented. Sausages and bacon were amazing.

Would have liked a more powerful shower, that's all.

The place is a lovely house in Wales beautiful rural area, near Flint city, nicely decorated. A place where the hosts, Ms Jenny and her husband, make you feel at home, with her warm, kind and friendly way of welcoming guests. Special mention on the breakfast, delicious. The place is well connected through easements for cars, and other roads, and close to highways and public transport (check transport timetables/schedules first!). It is easily reachable by train and bus from Liverpool city. I totally recommend this place for all those who want to explore Wales for the very first time (like me) and anyone that wants to come back to this magic land :)

As we were staying for five nights, we were given a free upgrade to an apartment to give us more room but were still able to have full English breakfast each morning, which was absolutely delicious. Apartment was really lovely and so clean. Our hosts were exceptionally friendly, will recommend to friends. Location fabulous!

Nothing to improve.

Easy check in process, helpful and accommodating hosts. Even when on the Sunday I had to get my daughter to the rink at 0730, they made sure there was breakfast for her. Nice quiet location but easy access to local area.

Wasn't really anything negative. When I hear how busy and noisy other hotels/accoms were that weekend, we were the lucky ones to have found this place.

Hosts were welcoming and friendly, couldn't fault the breakfast with lots of choice. Good spacious room with comfy bed and everything we needed. The location was quiet with good amount of parking and just off the main road.

Only fault was the bi-fold door to the ensuite which we couldn't close from within but this is a very minor point.

Booked this on a whim and I had such a lovely stay here,was more like going to stay with lovely relatives as hosts were so warm and welcoming. Situated in a really beautiful surroundings,really lovely old farm house,really quiet at night. Excellent breakfast and bedroom was cute and comfy and spotless,really enjoyed chatting to hosts and other guests at breakfast aswell. Really good place for exploring the coast and surrounding areas and beaches. would definitely return.

Nothing to dislike here

Small apartment had nearly everything you need, hob, microwave, toaster , kettle and fridge so you could stay longer than a couple of days. Breakfasts were really good, Les was great - really helpful and chatty, Jen was great too. Lovely hosts in a quiet ish location.

Be aware that the entrance to the farm is just off a dual carriage way, road to the farm a bit pot holey but passable carefully.
