Dinner in the lawns restaurant was fantastic, the quality of the food, surroundings and service. Bar service and choice of drinks was also great. The treatments we had at the spa were amazing, some of the best we’d had. Excellent range of food at breakfast, cooked and presented well. Bedrooms were well decorated and comfortable.

Service in the spa cafe and bar was disappointing- we waited a long time to order lunch, it wasn’t particularly busy, we ordered drinks around the hot tubs, waited 45mins and were told when we enquired that they didn’t serve what we’d ordered, this could have been communicated at the time of ordering. A shame as the staff in the rest of the hotel were fantastic.

The spa facilities were amazing and we enjoyed them a lot. The size of the room was brilliant. The service desk staff were helpful and had great customer service. Appreciate there being a large car park. This came in really handy. Breakfast was amazing and highly recommend. Loved the variation, and the food was just what we needed to start the day.

The hottubs outside could use a little maintenance. The headboards we unstable and loose tiles were left around the side of the pool. Jets on one side of the larger outdoor hot tub were clearly struggling compared to the opposing side. Some of the staff in the main restaurant (where breakfast is held) were a little rushed, making us feel unsettled.

it was so clean and friendly

the cost of our stay was £127 for in night without breakfast and no use if the spas and outdoor hot tubs I thought because we were residents at the hotel for the night we should have had access to facilities there, we upgraded and paid £40 for myself and my husband to use the facilities which we only managed to get 15 minutes in the outdoor hot tubs due to groups of people being in the for a very long time, I was really disappointed, we’ve stayed at the hotel and never had a problem but felt like our stay this time was not value for money

Great size room, I asked for a complimentary Birthday treat as it was my friends birthday. She had a Dessert platter waiting in the room for us. The spa was most definitely the best part, we both had a hot stone massage with the lovely Jen and it was wonderful. Even just the spa facilities were fantastic, I've never experienced a Snow Cave before definitely worth the trip. The outdoor hotubs were so relaxing just listening to nature, so peaceful. Would definitely return again in the future

we had a superior double over looking front car park it was clean, quiet, the bed was super comfortable food in terrace was nice very impressed with the layout of the main house never went to the spa

the room felt over crowded with the chair to the table making hard to walk round the bed maybe a smaller design of chair (rather than an armchair) also booked room only and were not allowed access to the spa it’s only included for B&B - this was not clear in the website or booking.Com also food very limited for veggies in the main restaurant - I wanted to go a La carte but only mushroom risotto for my husband and though we asked there was no offer of alternative but heard table next to us discussing a beetroot wellington ??! all in all a nice place but at over £100 for room only I needed the room and food to step up a gear

Bathroom, room decor food restaurant and service all great

room 241 overlooks car park on ground floor. It was hot but there is no A/c in this room and opening the window not practical when the passers by can see you in all your glory. Heavy curtains and blind are there for privacy but in fact make the room airless. This could be remedied by the installation of air conditioning. Also the bed in that room is extraordinarily hard. Try it. I have satyed with you many times in other rooms in that block and never had this experience previously.

Rooms are lovely and the location is great for a getaway from the hustle and bustle

I have stayed here many times before and as with many places post-covid, there is now a £20 charge per person for using the pool/jacuzzi areas on a room only tariff. The price of the rooms have already increased by this amount so I am now looking at an extra £60 per stay. The jacuzzis outside are often full of the same people for an hour+ so this extra charge might mean they have to be stricter on moving people along as you could spend your extra cash and never have the chance to experience one of the nicest parts.

Loved the spa! Amazing! Didn’t get to use the gym but it also looked very good. Loved our meals- delicious! Well worth going half board for. Wish we could’ve stayed longer…

Only a small gripe. The room we were in 223 isn’t very sound proof and so the door in the corridor outside bangs every time someone goes through it so I was woken at 4 am and then periodically until 7 when my alarm went off. It just needs something to stop the banging.

Stunning grounds, clean, easy to find and nice and peaceful. Staff are extremely friendly and kind and the atmosphere is lovely. Bed was extremely comfortable and the room was a brilliant size cool during the day with a fan and nice and cozy and warm in the evening.

The spa area was being over taken by people who were putting their towels on the chairs and hogging the hottub and outdoor pools for hours. It wasn't right and I think it would be good if somehow this could be managed please as I ended up leaving the spa earlier because of this I don't feel like it's a reason to score less as this is inconsiderate people and not the hotel or spas fault but it would be great if this could be managed somehow please.
