Great family friendly hotel with spacious garden and relaxation area. Rooms were clean and presentable, yes a little dated and missing some 'basics' (no hair dryer in our room which was an annoyance but not a deal breaker!) but beds were comfy. Breakfast was very basic, it would have been nice to have more choice for hot and cold food. And I would suggest they seriously consider investing in a hot drink machine, having only tea or coffee for hot drinks throughout the whole hotel isn't enough. Evening meals were brilliant, good choice and excellent quality. Kids chicken nuggets were especially good, very good portion size. I really enjoyed the chicken breast wrapped in bacon and would have it again. Staff were brilliant, very chatty and helpful. Really good with kids and helping answer queries. They really made us feel valued guests. I've stayed here 3 times in the last 8yrs and will definitely choose to stay again.

Limited choice of breakfast options and hot drinks (only had tea or coffee, would have been nice to have hot chocolate ) Some areas require maintenance such as damp/mold, broken dining chair, limited lighting in the dining area.

The rooms were spacious and clean. the staff were very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the breakfast as it was well cooked with an excellent choice. Any problems were dealt quickly by the staff. I liked the Manor House 'feel' to it. There was plenty of space outside for walking and the Bar Area was very nice and comfortable. There was a very good size car park which is always welcome. The low Bookoing.com rating was low - but I feel that that did not reflect the true quality of this Hotel and its staff.

The initial room that i was allocated the Family room Number 9 I think - smelt of pee. Reception allocated us another room immediately. Also the Pool was closed for repairs. I think that all arriving guests should be informed and offered a refund or alternative date of stay. My reason for choosing was that it was a Hotel Spa - where I could use the Spa facilities and swim - however I couldn't ! I think many guests choose to stay so they can use the pool and Spa - they should be informed and offered a refund as the nearby Hotel has a functioning Spa - The picture of your Pool is very appealing but it was a con as I was not able to swim in it.

Room was very spacious and beds were comfy, we had a kingsize, double sofa bed and a single bed in our family room. Pool, gym & sauna were a great added bonus. Breakfast was nice, with a selection of cooked and cereal items and you could do your own toast. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. The cleaning team were polite too. We chose this hotel based on the great price we found last minute and its fab location for the Easter holidays.

Unfortunately the hotel rooms were a little cold but staff provided us with an additional heater. They had an engineer busy working on the heating system while we were there. We did find lots of the guests were leaving the fire doors open letting the cold air in which didn't help. At breakfast they could do with an additional member of staff or installing a help yourself coffee/tea machine to make it a little quicker. The coffee cups could do with a really good clean as some were stained.

We had a friendly greeting from Fintan on arrival and the receptionist was very helpful. My request to have our Border Terrier with us for the evening meal was no problem at all. Our room was more than we expected with a sofa, table & chairs with a couple of complimentary items for a proper feel good factor. The room was clean and tidy, however, the television did switch its self on at around 3am Sunday morning with Homer Simpsons' voice booming out! Our evening meals, starter and main course, were of the highest standard and breakfast is always tasty. This is our 4th time at Brook Mollington. Roll on number 5.

The piano music at dinner.

Location is good with parking. Breakfast was a smaller choice but good quality. We also had evening dinner each night as we thought was it very good! Really enjoyed the food here. Pool was perfectly fine. Yes it has a few patched up tiled areas but nothing to make it unenjoyable. Small sauna and jacuzzi which are nice. Clean. Gym looked ok. Room was clean, smelled nice on arrival. Clean fresh bedding. The shower very good also! Clean white towels. Housekeeping good. We really had no complaints for the room rate we had paid, a great price for Chester location. We had a very enjoyable stay, all the staff were helpful and friendly. The hotel is having renovations carried out, new rooms being completed and corridors painted.

Internet connection wasn’t great at all, probably the location of room in the hotel or the area.

The best swimming bath in a hotel I have ever had , palatial room, very friendly and accomodating staff, extra bedding appeared as soon as I asked for it. Easy access to Cheshire Oaks, the best shopping experience, and Chester, a very intersting city.

Not a good menu for vegetarians, 11 meat meals and one vegetarian meal plus two vege options of other meals like hamburgers, and a very basic pizza. I was cold, but I think I should have brought warmer clothes, and they did provide more bedding. Showers in the pool area were either boiling or freezing.

There where 4 of us adults staying overnight as a Xmas treat . We stayed Half board , Evening meal & Breakfast in two twin rooms . Both rooms where spotlessly clean , furniture is dated but solid & the beds where super comfy . I wore my Fitbit and got an 82 sleep score . The staff where superb , could not fault any of them . From cleaning staff , maintenance staff , Bar staff , reception and Kitchen . Honestly they where lovely . Let me say this ! The food was excellent - we all had 2 courses each and enjoyed every mouthful . I had the sea bass with lemon & butter & it was fab . The dining room & bar area where comfortable & pristine . Super clean . we used the pool & jacuzzi & Sauna - again enjoyed these facility’s . All in all we had a great stay . So much so we are thinking of booking in again after the New Year .

It wasn’t a problem for us but I think The only thing that lets this hotel down is the exterior that faces the road . I think it’s because the Ivy has died off - it needs removing just looks a bit dull and lifeless . A bit of paint & a few hanging baskets & this place would look great from the outside too . For what we paid per person for our stay we where very happy .

On arrival, though not asked, help was volunteered to carry our suitcases upstairs. Company Director/manager was attending and acted immediately on any suggestions = a plus mark! . Reception all pleasant, respected our advance quiet-room request and very helpful as indeed were all staff at all levels, Top marks, Full buffet Breakfast very good and comprehensive, Head waiter very attentive as were waitresses. Our Bedroom - we asked for us to help ourselves - (except for sheet request change midweek ) - due to our anxiety re Covid) The Maids supplied all requests for extra top-ups tea/coffee extras and towel and empty waste bin etc . Free parking . All in all very satisfied.

The restaurant was the only area with which we had issues. There for 9 days, the whole dinner menu was unchanged, repetitive and lacked idea. Three starters, plus only two soup variations offered in 8 days- tomato or veg. Main Course :- Other than potatoes, only 4 vegetable were used all week, not even peas, green beans, some poor quality carrots and broccoli were undercooked. Two curries also.. There could /should have been more choice. Dessert:- = we had the same 3 uninspiring items, every day - cheesecake, choc fudge cake, lemon tart, or an ice cream. No lift to second floor but plenty of ground floor rooms ( some noisier at front than back )

The room was very comfortable. The food was very good. Plenty of choices for both breakfast and dinner. Caters for all including families. The staff were very polite and helpful. Ideal location for Chester city centre. Good spa and gym facilities. Definitely got value for money

The room could have been done with better ventilation, especially in the bathroom. There were no windows to open to let out the steam after a bath or shower.

All staff were very friendly, helpful and informative. Lovely spa facilities, although a masseuse/masseur were unavailable during our stay. Breakfast and dinner were good although they could have offered a little more variety each day for dinner. Surroundings absolutely wonderful with glimpses of wildlife, i.e. squirrels, different varieties of birds etc. Our room was spotlessly clean with towel change every day - mattress could have been little more comfortable. All round we would recommend this establishment for a really relaxing break.

Mattress was a bit 'boney'. Problems accessing the room.
