When we arrived Barbara the proprieter greeted us and was very friendly and welcoming, as were all the staff. The hotel is spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated throughout. Our room was very cosy and the bed was very comfortable. We only had breakfast but it was fresh and plentiful with plenty of choice. They have an award winning restaurant and understand from other guests that the food was exceptional. The chef is Barbara's husband and joint proprieter. We will not hesitate to stay at this hotel in future and will book the evening meal next time.

The hotel lies in a beautiful location in Greater Malvern and it is in an ideal spot for anyone wanting to access the hills. We stayed in the Bishop Suite and the accommodation was extremely comfortable and spacious with great views over the well maintained gardens. A number of bars and restaurants were only a short walk away. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was delicious.

We stayed on a Sunday night when the much acclaimed restaurant was closed (we did know this in advance). We will definitely return when the restaurant is open.

The room was compact but both the bathroom and bedroom were very tastefully decorated and the bed was super comfortable. I made tea on arrival and it was undrinkable, the water from the bathroom had a very odd taste. The owner replaced the kettle (I had thought it might be a kettle problem) with water from the kitchen and all was well, I made further drinks using bottled water. I ordered dinner in the room it was superb, I also enjoyed a coffee and petit fours as a treat!

Very easy check in even though we arrived a little later than planned, we were greeted warmly by Barbara. We had been offered a room upgrade and it didnt disappoint, lots of space, clean and comfortable, tea/coffee making facilities and nice and quiet. The location is perfect and a very easy stroll into town.

The car park was almost full as the lovely restaurant and hotel itself were busy but we did get a space and could easily have parked on the road which was no issue.

Location, building itself, people - all were great. A lovely place to stay. Not too warm, as lots of places tend to be in my opinion, and nice and quiet. Would definitely stay again.

Breakfast could have been - well sort of less restrictive in a way. A minor quibble maybe, but cereal, yogurt and juice were specifically brought to you and there were no pastries or fuit. This made it feel less satisfying than normal, particularly as the hotel takes pride in its cuisine. All this said, I wouldn't want to overstate it as a negative. Also, the shower was slightly difficult to work and the toilet area small.

The Breakfasts were excellent, with high quality produce and plenty of choice, when I ordered grapefruit I was amazwd to find it was fresh pink grapefruit segments which had been peeled. This is really going to trouble. There were fresh flowers in my room and the L'Amuse Bouche restuarant offers a fine dining experience that is superb. but it is advisable to book in advance because it is deservedly popular. the gardens are lovely and so well kept.

No room for improvement

Excellent food and all staff very friendly and helpful. Comfortable room although would have preferred a walk in shower as awkward to get in an out of shower over bath. When we checked out, Barbara, the proprietor said they were very busy that weekend and they did have nicer rooms. Would definitely stay again.

Shower over bath in a small space.

Great location in the centre of Malvern, very friendly, helpful staff and the evening meal was excellent.

Quite a small room and bathroom. Also we ordered a breakfast tray each , as we had to leave before breakfast on our last day , but only 1 was tray was left for 2 of us, very little food considering we had paid for bed and breakfast both nights . Breakfast was good the day we ate it in the hotel.

The stay was luxurious and comfortable. I enjoy good food and this place had slipped under the radar. When I noticed it had 2 rosettes I had to try for my wife's birthday The room (Bishops room) was expansive and you felt that a Bishop may well have stayed here. With high decorative ceilings and four poster bed you really felt you were being treated. The real treat however came with the meal. The small, unassuming dining room was cleverly laid out with mirrors on the walls. The design makes it feel like staff walking in and out of the room are always walking away from you, never detracting you from your meal. The food itself is impeccable and of the highest quality. With a menu holding just the right amount of choice we opted for crab and salmon to start with some black truffle popcorn, olives and bread. To follow we had pork belly and then followed by a selection of desserts. We were also treated to an amuse bouche of watermelon and goats cheese which just worked. The pork was fork tender and fell apart. Each detail was meticulous with the serving staff going to great lengths to explain each part of the meal. Where Cotford house really excels is in its customer service. One of the owners took the time to come and speak with each diner before eating. Wishing my wife happy birthday. After the meal, the chef (part owner) was standing, smiling outside of his kitchen allowing you to compliment or (as we did) just have a natter. As we felt so full we asked for a couple of green tea bags to take back to our room. A little later a server had hunted us down outside with said bags displayed for us on a plate. The next morning I requested if we might have breakfast in our room as my wife had a nasty cough. (Always concerned about the perception of Covid even though we had tested negative the night before). Although this was not something the hotel offered, the owner herself bought our bespoke breakfast to our room.

Liked everything.

Firstly, DOG FRIENDLY and the staff were amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. Room was very comfortable. We did come on the hottest weekend of the year and no air-con, However, a fan was supplied on request which was perfectly adequate, Breakfast the following morning had a good choice. My husband and I both had the full house breakfast which was cooked very healthily and was quick to be served.

Parking - not a huge amount of space to manouver outside the front of the hotel with a half dozen small spaces and would definitely not be suitable if you have a van. However, there is roadside parking available
