To be honest the food was a little disappointing. The first night we ordered blade steak which had a large piece of gluton in it. When we complained, we were told that, that's how it comes. This is insulting, it suggest the customer has no idea what blade steak is!!! They do aspire to fine dining and most of the other meals we had were very good.

The staff need to understand the impact they have on customers. For example, If you advertise bar food as available, then you don't say "I will see what the chief says". Then announce that you can have it now if you order immediately. Generally speaking the staff need better customer interface skills. If they ask how your meal is, then expect to be given feedback that you may need to act on.

The view alone is worth the booking, the room was incredible but the view out was absolutely stunning! Peaceful and lovely to stay the night. The bar is great and if you can, sit outside the bar as the view over Malvern is well worth taking in while having a drink. There's also a Morrisons just down the road if you need anything quick or want to take any snacks or drinks back to the room.

Everyone was really lovely but the staff did seem a little, surprised, we didn't want to stay for food. The menu looked amazing but with my allergies/diet it wasn't for us but no worries as we pre-booked elsewhere and it's a short few minute drive to the main shops and restaurants area. I guess they are more used to people staying and having a meal there too but other than that all honesty lovely.

Great food, excellent service. Great views. Really relaxed and feeling of luxury with a great ambience

Considering the price of the room and the luxury vibe , the coffee in the room was poor. Sachets of instant was what you expect in a chain hotel.. Where's the nice coffee brew bags to finish off the luxury vibe. Also the car park was dodgy with potholes, gravel and a huge ledge drop off the tarmac onto the gravel parking.. No good for low cars.

Lovely quiet location in woods with beautiful rooms and an exceptional view. A great retreat (if you can afford it!)

More draft beer in the bar, otherwise everything lovely. The only downside - which is not unusual in hotels of this price - is that one or two of the guests treat staff as if they are servants and it's embarrassing to experience and just plain wrong.

Room size and quality was good, great location. Great view from the bar, restaurant and terrace and probably from the rooms at the front of the hotel.

the view was impaired (we were at the back, room 4) and during the night there was quite a bit of noise, including kitchen staff chatting and smoking after their shifts just under our bedroom. Staff was friendly but not great at their jobs. Breakfast orders took relatively long. We ordered tap water and never got it.

The location is excellent and the quality of food is superb.

The lack of menu choice for residents. The only menu available in the restaurant was a three course menu, at a high price per person. OK for celebration or night out but not sustainable for many over a longer stay. Alternative terrace menu available but not in restaurant and bar not equipped for dining as tables low.

we came for a one night stay as we were going to a dog show in the area. stayed with 3 border collies. the service was excellent and so was the room we stayed in - very comfortable and spacious for us and the dogs. the hotel even went out of their way to give us some breakfast for the next day as we couldn’t make to it in the morning so that was very considerate and appreciated. would highly recommend this hotel. the area it’s based in is beautiful also.

This is our second stay here. They completely looked after us. Lovely room, surrounded by great views. Fabulous restaurant again boasting a new seasonal menu. Staff Fabulously friendly. If you are boardline in deciding where to stay, I recommend you book here.

Nothing that the hotel have actually done wrong, but due to the lovely showering condiments in the room, we have had to spend money buying them for our home! Haha 😄

Staff were very friendly and the location is perfect for walking the Malvern Hills

The dog policy is rather strange. Dogs not allowed in bar area but you can leave the dog in your room ? We do not like to leave our dog alone in a strange location so we had to sit outside for our meal and to have a drink from the bar. Luckily the weather was kind but the whole weekend would have been spoiled had it been poor. Fully understand not allowing dogs in the restuarant but cannot understand why not allowed in bar, This policy will probably stop us staying again

Beautiful location with direct access to the Malvern Hills for walking. The room was great, comfy bed, great shower. The view from the terrace is superb and the location is very peaceful. We ate in 1919 for dinner, which was excellent, we had the 7 course taster menu as it was a special occasion. The only improvement here was that the courses should have been introduced by the staff, the kitchen team had clearly spent a lot of time and effort on the flavour, the smell and the taste of this dishes, it would have been nice to have the waiting staff tell us what the dish was as the laid it down. The breakfast was also excellent my husband thought it was the best black pudding he'd ever had. We would highly recommend the hotel and 1919.

There was a little confusion over our dietary request, but it was rectified quickly.
