Interesting and unique place to say. Great location and special experience. Great food and terrific service too.

We had one of the feature rooms in the St. Annes wing. Though the room was lovely it was a hike to get to. Not for the faint hearted! Steep stairs and no lift very tricky with heavy cases. Fortunately the room was very comfortable with a superb bathroom. Only niggle was the flashing smoke alarm and impossibly bright night light. However comfortable bed and and a huge walk in wardrobe. Setting and view from room great.

The hotel is situated in its own extensive grounds. It is thus very quiet. It has been fully renovated and a modern atrium was added to the front. It has a large, free car park with an e-charging station. The staff were all highly trained and very pleasant. The main restaurant is spacious, allowing undisturbed conversation. The food was very good and the rooms were very comfortable and well equipped. The guests are encouraged to wander through the entire structure, which is quite fascinating.

The property has been very well decorated with a great attention to detail. We were shown to our room which we did not like mainly because we found it to small. Without any fuss we were shown to another room at no extra cost. We had some relatives staying nearby and they came over and the games rooms were a great success. We had two meals in the bar area one just myself and my wife and the second with all of the family. On both occasions the food was excellent.

Grateful for being upgraded to the Abbey suite. Lovely location, the bathroom was faultless and the breakfast was great.

There was an uncomfortable amount of hair in the carpet in the bedroom. Probably noticeable due to the dark purple carpet but it’s something that should be checked in my opinion. There were cobwebs in the lamps and one bedside lamp also did not work.

We slept really well as the bed was fantastically comfy. Dinner was very nice in the Refectory, breakfast in the same room was excellent. Our dog had a fantastic time as there is a huge field where she could run off lead, I will mention she has excellent recall so wasn't loose and charging with wild abandon. We had a light lunch, again, excellent, the patio was lovely to sit out on despite the wasps best efforts to attack us!

The wasps but hey, who does?! They are part of our eco system so we have to grin and bear them and clearly they loved Stanbrook Abbey as much as we did

Comfy bed in gascoigne room, lovely view of paddocks & roll top bath & prompt room service. We took 2 large dogs & were provided with 2 large dog beds - 2 sets of raised twin bowls. Dog treats in room & tennis balls by the entrance. The grounds included extensive mowed grass paddocks which were safe for supervised dogs to run in.

Everything! From check in to check out everything was exceptional. An amazing hotel set in an old Abbey. Tastefully and thoughtfully decorated. Beautiful room. Food was very good - service was exceptional with friendly well trained staff. Take the time to stroll around this fascinating building and surroundings.

It was perfect!

Such a lovely place with kind, helpful staff and great food. Couldn't recommend it more and would stay again. We had an issue when we arrived of our rooms, which were meant to be close together, being far apart. They fixed in in minutes despite a 300+ guest wedding going on at the time. Dinner was great, they were very accomodating to my kids, and breakfast was also good. The whole place is interesting to look at and so pretty.

Room was clean and comfortable. Lovely bathroom. Breakfast options were very good. Nice quiet location.

Not possible to adjust the temperature of towel rail, it was on a high temperature setting permanently, it would have made staying in the room in summer very uncomfortable. The kitchen seemed to be unable to accommodate my food intolerance for the evening meal, even thought they tried hard. The wine 'list'(digital) needed updating, so caused some confusion when ordering. Unable to operate the safe.

the facilities were excellent and the staff went out of their way to make our pre wedding family lunch very special. thank you especially to Shariffa for going the extra mile with efficiency, friendliness and calmness. special mention to Travis and Jodie too who made everything so easy for us to book and navigate the hotel

nothing it was just perfect for us especially as we had older people in our group who had been shielding for two years. We felt safe , relaxed and happy
