Lovely clean room, very comfortable. Soundproofing was a bonus. For a fully booked hotel we didn't hear anything except for the odd person walking through the corridor. Iron, hairdryer and plenty of tea/ coffee.

On calling the hotel I was advised that there were 2 disabled spaces, however it was first come, first served. We decided to try our luck but both spaces were occupied. A previous review said that staff were using them. 4 members of staff were outside having a smoke, so I asked if it was staff that were parked in there and was advised yes. I asked if 1 could move and showed them my blue badge. A member of staff did come out and moved their vehicle. Would be better if we could prebook a disabled parking space though.

We had room 211 which is located on the front of the building overlooking a road and some bus stops, it is of a good size, airy, with a large bay window, there was some noise during the day but less at night. It has a decent size bathroom with a large shower. Apart from some slight marks on the walls of the bedroom and some discoloured sealer in the shower it was in a clean condition. On the whole the staff were friendly and polite, especially the housekeepers.

Some of the bar staff seemed to go out of their way to be awkward and tended to ignore non locals. Parking can be difficult close to the hotel.

Great location 5m walk to the beach and shops, very comfortable room, nicely furnished and was great to have a separate coffee table and chairs as well as the desk and chair, this made it more relaxing to spend time in the room. Everything was very clean, staff refilled tea, coffee and biscuits and cleaned the room every day. Generally staff were very helpful. Convenient to have restaurant downstairs and excellent value for money for the room and the food in the restaurant. A very enjoyable stay, would definitely recommend.

Check-in was not straightforward as we had to go to the bar to find out how to check in and the member of staff serving wasn't sure about check- in times and wasn't very welcoming, they didn't tell us that we needed to access reception through the bar, rather than the street. This was disappointing, as you want a warm welcome when you arrive. Better staff training would help resolve this issue. Would have liked a slightly larger room but that was a minor point.

The room was very spacious and laid out much better than the room advertised. The room had everything you could need, ironing board, hairdryer, tea, coffee, toiletries and it was incredibly quiet. The bathroom had a Waterfall shower and a Bath with an overhead shower. The Room and the Hotel was very clean, fresh and furnishings looked after. We only had Breakfast in the mornings and it was lovely. The Bacon was crisp and the eggs were perfect and it looked like it had been presented and cooked with care. The Staff were very polite and had smiles on their faces when we had interactions with them, the cleaners and those at Reception also. The Beach was close by and lovely and sandy, there are lots of shops close by also. The Alexandra next to The Troll Cart served very impressive food (they own a Butchers). The Staff were lovely and would recommend visiting there.

I am aware it is in an area where there is alot of deprivation and there were alot of questionable characters in and outside of The Troll Cart and locally but in the pub the Staff handled the riff raff that were causing scenes really well.

The room was lovely and spotless . Staff were very friendly. Location was not far from the the seaside and in town centre. It has a restaurant downstairs and an open space outside to enjoy meals with friends and family. You can order your meal or a drink using the app instead of going to the bar they have a menu at the entrance and at the table. The room l had was very spacious, it had facilities for making coffee or tea, it didn't have a mini fridge to store drinks useful in hot weather. It had a iron and ironboard an open wardrobe to hang up clothes. The bathroom was very clean with toiletries if needed. The staff are very kind to help you. I had a wonderful experience.

There isn't really a reason to dislike. The hotel doesn't offer a breakfast included but the restaurant is only downstairs and offers different breakfast choices as well as meals for lunch and dinner and is very nice but can be quite busy at times. It hasn't got a parking but there are taxis and buses to move around just outside the hotel. Probably the only thing was checking in at the hotel you have to go through the pub and find a member of staff to check you in but it isn't really a big issue.

The room was spacious and very clean. There was a kettle with plenty of coffee, tea etc.. on the tray. There was two pillows each on the bed, the room had usb charging ports, air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, shower gel and soap in the bathroom. The bathroom had a tub with an overhead shower, the shower was powerful. The towels were big and fluffy and the bathroom had a heated towel rail. The room also had an ironing board and iron and a hairdryer, plenty of coat hangers for clothe in the wardrobe and a flat screen tv. There was also a table and two chairs. The staff either on the hotel side or bar side were all very friendly and the location is in the centre of town so easy access to the beach as well as shops and buses.

The only criticism is the pillows are a bit hard but I suppose that’s personal preference. Nothing else to dislike.

The room was amazing! Very large room, beautiful large windows. Everything you could want, tea & coffee facilities, hair dryer, large screen TV, wardrobe, heating, air con.. the list goes on & on! And it was spotless! Just perfect

I wish the option for parking was a little closer, but understand it’s difficult and almost impossible in this location. This does not deter us from staying again though. Also the lift was broken, and had been for 3 weeks so we were told. Ok for us, as we have no mobility issues, but seeing as all the rooms are on the 3rd floor, this could of been a problem for some

This is the 2nd time I have stayed at this hotel - the rooms are great value for money: big, clean, modern and great facilities. Staff always polite and helpful. Would definitely recommend this Hotel if you need something central for a couple of nights in Great Yarmouth.

Is worth noting there is not a car park here: but there is a multi storey behind the hotel or there is also a car park in King Street which is only a short walk away: where you can park for free between the hours of 4PM to 8AM.

Well I have to say that my first stay at a Spoons hotel exceeded all expectations. The room was Clean Comfortable and very spacious and quiet with no noise from the bar and restaurant. checking in and out was super quick and easy, there are lifts so no issue for anyone with a disability. The building is situated in the heart of Gt Yarmouth with a multi storey car park adjacent, the car park is securely closed of a nightime with cctv so I had no concerns about leaving my car there overnight and the parking charge was reasonable. I would rate these rooms as being better than a premier inn or travel lodge ect. and feel they offer great value for money with the added bonus of having a bar and restaurant on the premises which also offer great value for money ! I have stayed in a variety of hotels in Gt Yarmouth over the years, but now Spoons is my go to first choice !

the room was great, really big bed, good facilities and a lovely shower

parking is difficult in the area especially when checking in late but manageable! my main negative is the fact that the cleaners started their rounds very early! check out was 11am I had 3 knocks on my door before 10.30am and could hear the cleaners outside my door shouting at each other saying I wish 206 would hurry up! not great! i had the do not disturb sign on my door as I was having a shower before going on to my next job ! wasn’t very nice to feel so unwelcome!
