Lovely hotel and perfect location for us
We had paid extra and booked a room with river view unaware of work being carried out. Scaffolding obscured our view and we were very disappointed.

Beautiful scenic view from hotel room, we were given an upgrade to river view as per my prior request which was great. We were unable to park in hotel space but a very kind lady informed us of the overflow and assisted with this. Very happy working staff. Enjoyed some mocktails and supper before going to Eden Court for a performance. We have stayed before and will stay again. Great breakfast selection hot and cold. Wonderful morning staff too.
Smallest marks on bedding and toilet door and the scaffolding outside but these are very minor and sometimes unavoidable. They did not affect our stay though.

Room was spacious and bed was so comfortable! Loved the beautiful location to our coach drop-off point (near the Cathedral) Breakfast: Excellent spread, tasty too!
We had dinner in the restaurant twice (felt that cost of the meals were a tad too expensive for the hotel's standards). Smallest lift on the planet must be the one this hotel had from the lobby to the rooms: only 1 person and 1 piece of luggage could fit in. We (hubby and I) had to make 2 rounds! I would like to suggest that a ramp be fitted at the front entrance to your hotel so that 1st time guests can use it to drag their heavy luggage up.

Spacious, warm and clean room. Wonderful facilities and great location for visiting the highlands in any direction.
Rooms were thin, which is quite obvious to such an old building, but the fact our room was right above the lobby made it a little noisy.

The whole hotel, and especially the bedrooms are beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. The bed in particular was very comfortable and we got a great sleep. The pool in the Spa is long enough to feel you are having a good swim, and not just a plunge pool like other hotels. The staff were very helpful and willing to help out to make your stay the best possible. The food was also excellent, and I particularly recommend the macaroni cheese which is the best I've tasted in years. Its not more than a 5 minute walk to the centre of Inverness, and therefore extremely well placed with loads of restaurants if you want to eat out.
The car park only holds about 20 cars maximum., which is very small for this size of hotel. This car park is also used by locals who use the spa, therefore it was impossible to get parked there early evening, and I had to park some distance away. In fairness, the streets nearby have free parking between 5pm in the evening and 10am next day (you can park in what's marked as permit holders only during this time) but if there is an event at the nearby theatre, even those spaces are filled up.

This hotel is in a great location and a short walk across the bridge to the centre of town. You can also take a lovely stroll along the river. We would have had a lovely view of Inverness castle but the castle and the hotel are both undergoing renovations unfortunately. The hotel is in a lovely building and they are clearly putting effort in to maintain and improve it. Our room was huge, we had a massive comfortable bed and loads of space. There was plenty of lighting, mirrors and sockets. We had some water, tea, nespresso coffee and even some shortbread biscuits left in the room. We had a great sleep and even though there is a street right outside we did not hear any noise. The shower in the bathroom was really powerful and the towels were good quality. The leisure facilities are lovely. The changing rooms were immaculate. The pool and jacuzzi were spacious. The gym looked very well equipped we just didn’t have time to make use of it as we only stayed for one night. There is free parking but it is limited - we luckily got the last space when we were checking in. Staff were really friendly and helpful as well - check in was very smooth.
The windows are quite old so there is a build up of mould on some of the paint. The room was roasting and we could not completely turn off the radiator so we had to open the window to cool it down. The tv remote was quite dusty. The towel heater in the bathroom is very close to the toilet and very hot so we almost burned ourselves a few times. The lift is tiny and only fit one person with a suitcase. Something to be aware of if accessibility is a requirement for you.

Beautiful hotel very close to city centre Beautiful river view ..room was lovely ,clean ,cleaned everyday. Only down side was room across from us had staff staying in it & would be in & out of room banging door as they went till early hours. Apart from that couldn't fault hotel or staff Maybe bit more choice on bar menu. Didn't eat in restaurant too pricey plus menu was not my cup of tea. Breakfast was delicious plenty to choose from
Lack of parking space .bar on Saturday was set up for reserved tables afternoon teas & such. This could of been served in the restaurant rather than the bar. No fridge in room. No water in room either. That would of been nice if bottles water was in the room

The hotel is an impressive Victorian building in a wonderful location in the heart of Inverness but quiet and peaceful. The very pleasant walk along to the Ness Islands and the Botanic Garden begins outside the door. Our room was tastefully decorated with a view over the River Ness and the bridge into the town centre. The train station was a short walk away. The swimming pool was excellent and there was no need to book it in advance which was great. There was also a hot tub.
We did not go for breakfast because we felt it was overpriced and at £300 per night for a room should have been included.

The hotel's location is perfect in the centre of Inverness with lovely views over inlet & castle. Our room was very nice and roomy. The breakfast had a good choice, and the meal in the brasserie was very nice too. All in all, friendly staff all round, with a special thanks to the porters.
The lift is the smallest one I've ever been in - although I do appreciate it is an old building and there may have been restriction to make the lift bigger ... However, the porters were so accommodating in helping out with getting the wheelchair to/from our second floor room.
