This was the perfect overnight stay and we would love to have stayed longer. We decided last minute to break our journey home with a walk around the Ingleton waterfalls trail and this was a nearby place to stay. We were over the moon with our choice. The room was fabulous with really lovely touches; the staff were all friendly and helpful; the food was flawless too. We had an evening meal which was excellent and the breakfast menu was fabulous with lots of choice, and it was delicious. Can’t recommend highly enough. 11/10

Spacious and comfortable country inn. Nicely appointed rooms, and a shower that just has to be experienced once in your life.

Incessant music, from early morning to inn close, played above a comfortable level. Not just a background din, but drive-you-out-of-the-room noise, penetrating the upstairs rooms…out of place for a country inn atmosphere.

My partner and I were looking for a night away and chose here and were glad we did. As soon as we went in we had a lovely welcome and upgraded to a suite. The room was beautifully decorated and was a huge room. The bathroom was beautiful the double sided bath was perfect. The room we stayed in was Torsin and would definitely stay there again. The bathrobes were a lovely touch and all the toiletries were nice. This place is definitely a hidden Gem and we would highly recommend, we had our evening meal here and food was lovely and service was great, had lovely cosy fires with comfy sofas to sit and relax after our meal, breakfast was amazing a great finsh to a wonderful stay. We hope to be back soon

What a find! This is the best property of its type I have ever stayed in. In a great location less than 5 minutes from the M6 the Plough delivered on all levels. Our room was outstanding much better than many hotels offer for a significantly higher price. A lovely dinner and a superb breakfast just added to our enjoyment. To top it all a really lovely team who were so warm and welcoming throughout our stay. Highly recommend!

I cannot fault the Plough on any level - our stay was full of those little personal touches that set it apart .

Excellent stay at the Plough Inn. The pub is absolutely lovely. We had a very warm welcome and everyone went the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable. We had a delicious meal in the bar area (we had our dog with us so not in the restaurant) . The menu was varied and our food was excellent in quality and perfect sized portions. Our room was comfortable and elegantly decorated with a large bathroom. Lovely toiletries to enjoy as I soaked in the freestanding bath tub! Thank you to all the staff especially Robert for the warm welcome, the evening waiter (sorry we didn’t catch your name) and Lianne who was the perfect breakfast host!

Nothing really, just a point to note is that the pub is located on a main road, perfect for us as it was easy for our onward journey.

What a find! We'd just completed a Scotland road trip and didn't want to stay in a Travelodge on the way back (as we did on the way up) and saw a room free here. This will become our go to place for a mid way stop, it's just off the motorway, but set in beautiful countryside so we could take our dog for lovely walks. Staff were attentive and friendly, the room was incredible, the most spacious one we've had our whole two week trip, and the bathroom was huge! We had dinner and breakfast there and both were delicious. Really dog friendly, and just so laidback and chilled. After dinner, we moved to the bar and played board games until it was time for bed, which was really comfortable. It was a shame we only stayed the one night!

The bedroom and bathroom were exquisite. It was spotless, and furnished beautifully. The food and service was lovely. Ample parking and well located for those travelling to or from Scotland from the south, it was exactly half way! The bonus for us, was driving into the Dales at night to watch a spectacular show of the Aurora Borealis!

The fan outside, probably for the kitchen was REALLY noisy, but thankfully it stopped by 10pm. The room was very hot ...not because of heating, I think it was simply that it had been a hot day. We found a fan in the wardrobe and that helped a bit.

There is absolutely nothing about our stay that we did not like. Staff are incredibly pleasant and helpful, the property and accommodation was outstanding and the food (dinner and breakfast) was great. Located conveniently just off the M6, we intend to make this our regular half way (North East Scotland to London) stop. Property has plenty of well lit parking, and as a bonus, it is also pet friendly.

If I am being really, really super picky, another form of coffee, other than the capsules would be good, but I'm really just filling space here!

Convenient location for our overnight stay when travelling from Manchester to Scotland. Beautifully decorated Gastro pub / inn which I have eaten in before for special occasions. Staff were very attentive and arranged for us to have food after our late arrival. Stayed in the room called Torsin which was very spacious with a 3 corner sofa and huge bathroom with duel washbasins and a free standing roll top bath. The Breakfast was really delicious with good quality ingredients. Service was exceptional.

Nothing.

We were not sure what to expect as we were located in the bar due to having our dog with us but the evening was delightful and the food was very tasty and well presented. All the staff made us feel welcome - there was a lovely atmosphere. A quiz was going on at the onther end of the room but it did not intrude on us at all. Breakfast was tasty, there was a good selection on the buffet table, hot food was prompty served. Staff were friendly and welcoming to us and the dog!
