It was funky, in a great location and had most things we needed. The communication between the team and myself was great. Always prompt, always helpful. Supermarkets and restaurants and cafes everywhere, not to my taste because I don’t like spicy food!!!! But then I found Black & Blue Steakhouse right near the main entrance of Waterloo station and had the most delicious baby backed ribs with frites and salad. It was scrumptious and great value for money in London. We really enjoyed our stay there!!! Special mention to Alesh who was wonderful.

There was no toaster which is a must for us. Would have appreciated a few hooks or shelves on the walls to put things on or hang things up.

Well designed, well equipped, very comfortable bed. Very convenient for Waterloo station and the south bank.

I didn’t get a room number when booking and had to call up when I arrived. There’s no staff at the accommodation so called using an iPad installed in the entrance. Nobody answered further a little while. I was worrying that I wouldn’t get in to the room. Main door downstairs to get through to the rooms wasn’t closed and it did feel a little bit like anyone could come through and walk around outside the rooms. There used to be a double door though in the room so I could lock both doors from the inside.

It is very close to Waterloo and has easy access to public transport. This StowAway hotel is located at Lower Marsh, hosting plenty of local shops, supermarkets, restaurants/cafes and a vibrant, busy street market during lunchtime on weekdays, which provides lots of amenities, convenience and lots of unique food options while still being very close to major tourist attractions such as the London Eye. The check-in process went very smoothly. We entered our room following the instructions sent to us without any issues at nearly midnight. The room was not super large, but many storage spaces were smartly integrated into the interior. The kitchenette was a nice addition for convenience. The bathroom, albeit small, was clean and had all the amenities included. The rainfall shower was clean, had good water pressure and provided us nice hot showers. The bed was very comfy and very roomy for two persons, with the head of the bed positioned near the large window with automatic electronic blinds, we were able to wake up with ambient amount of natural sunlight in the morning which was a really nice experience in this weather.

The AC/ventilation could be more powerful. The room felt stuffy sometimes after taking a shower. Also the ventilation should be cleaned or deodorised. Since there is no window that could be open inside the room any bad smells from either the bathroom or outside the room could be a bit obvious.

Location was amazing, easy to walk or ride fast all the popular places of city, we really enjoyed our stay, bed was comfortable, bathroom and shower clean and fresh, in kitchen there was everything you would need, although room was not big and I would like it to have more light, all in all it is cozy hotel in the best part of London!

It was cold temperature in the room on the day we arrived, I suggest to turn on heat before guest arrival, because it really took time for us to feel warm in the room, after a long trip it would be nice to come and feel comfortable to take off your coat and shoes in the hotel room. But it wasn’t disaster, after it got warmer, we really enjoyed our stay.

Good location, with lots of food and drink options in the area. Online check in was very straightforward with ease of just codes for the doors. Room had all we needed and useful to have option of food prep although we didn't use.

The bed was a bit awkward as it is the full width of the room so you have to climb in from the bottom, this also meant the sheet kept getting untucked. Not really a room to spend time in, as no comfy seating, but wasn't an issue as we really just used it to sleep. The automatic light in the bathroom was a bit annoying in the night.

The shower was the best I’ve ever used anywhere. Easy to operate and plenty of hot water. The pillows and bed was super comfy. Joshua the facilities manager was extremely helpful and the cleaning staff were so attentive. The hairdryer in the room was broken so I used the screen on the tablet downstairs to inform reception. It was replaced in no time at all.

It was a little lacking on kitchen utensils and would have been nice to have a one ring hob asan extra option to the microwave. Also beware if you are short ( I am 5ft 1” ) as I was unable to reach the top shelves to access the plates and it was even difficult to wash up as it is designed for taller people. 😂

I have stayed here a handful of times and as always the room was clean amd tidy. I noticed since my last stay an additional door has been fitted between the entrance and the kitchen area, presumably to minimise the noise from Waterloo station. The hotel overlooks the tracks, while the noise has never bothered me much the door definitely keeps the noise out especially the early morning ones! The hotel is in a great location and several transport routes near by and bars and restaurants. Would recommend this hotel to anyone especially with the option to make your own food with a fully equipped kitchen area, its well stocked with everything you’d need to make a meal, crockery & cutlery, fridge freezer and a mini dishwasher. Tea and coffee and cleaning products if required. I have also had food delivered and collected from the main entrance. There is a key code access to the rooms and another key code for each room. Lift onsite too. The bar downstairs is lovely, staff really friendly and food looks delicious although havnt eaten here myself (yet!). One of my favourite places to stay when in London. Check in can be done online and via this app the hotel have always been quick to respond to any qestions and queries.

My last stay the black out blind did now close, It is controlled via an electric panel but for some reason did not work. I pulled the window coverings closed although these are not black out but a minor issue for me apart from this issue I have never had any issues on previous stays

The property is a hidden gem, it’s not like the super hotels you see such as the Marriott, Hilton’s, hyatts but that would be an unfair comparison. The staff member I spoke to on the phone was helpful, courteous yet very helpful. Sorting out nuances and making allowances for my arrival. Providing they don’t rise prices this will potentially be my place of choice moving forward. Saving me about 100. The location is acceptable, the only reason it hasn’t got perfect marks is due to the price point not being a bit less and the full experience not being digital. However that doesn’t discount that it’s a good option

Price point negates negatives

Rooms where lovely and modern, great location and a co-op over the road so was great to get drinks and snacks to keep in the fridge, theirs also cooking facilities which we didn’t use but would be great if you where staying longer

The trains going past are very loud when your trying to sleep, their was a very loud announcement which kept going of I’m guessing in Waterloo station until at least 2am, it was so loud and kept going off, the room was also very cold I think the duvets need to be changed to a winter one now as it took a really long time to warm up.

The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was roomy and had plenty of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the shower. Good size studio for one or couple. Location was central and easy to commute from to other neighborhoods. Easy check in and check out.

As some others have mentioned, you can hear the trains. I managed that noise and slept well most nights there. Expect some lively noise from wine bar. I would suggest having a dust pan available as I spilled a powder in the bathroom and had a hard time disposing of it.
