The hotel is in the perfect place when visiting Largs. It’s a five-ten minute walk from pubs, restaurants and local shops. It’s directly across from the beautiful pebble beach and if you want a good walk, you can head just out of town and along the coast, We were there for 3 nights and that was just about the right. The food is amazing! We had a slight ‘mishap’ at breakfast time on our second day when I asked for less food than the day before and ended up with more, although we experienced this every where we went in Largs, they love to feed you!! We recommend Nardinis ice cream parlour for a sundae, Allegrias Italian restaurant (the portions are HUGE!) and The Fish Works takeaway does amazing Langoustine scampi!

There is no air-con in the rooms and as it was fabulous weather, it got very hot! I wish I’d taken my all singing, all dancing fan but I’ll know for next visit.

One of the Best breaks away we have had and we have had many. Fabulous seaside setting. Views from deluxe room were fabulous. Staff very friendly. Hotel very clean. Had Dinner the first night and it was very good. Breakfast very good too. Bar prices were fair. Seated veranda at front of hotel was excellent, we had our food sitting out on it and enjoying the views. Car parking a Big bonus. All in all we are already looking at booking again for this time next year (September) but 3 nights instead of 2. Breakfast from 7 till 10. Checkout 11am. Not a lot more to say about a really nice stay at the Brisbane.

Bedrooms are on 1st and 2nd floors with access by stairs no lift available so beware. Our bed was quite firm but we like that. Other than that really nothing we could complain about.

Location was fantastic. Wifi was good downstairs (OK in rooms). Bed was comfortable. Breakfast and evening meal was very good. Ample parking facilities. Extremely friendly staff.

I had booked 2 singles and 2 twins but on arrival we got 2 singles, a twin and a double that they said could not be changed. I had e-mailed the hotel in advance to clarify 2 twin rooms were needed, they confirmed by e-mail and this was reflected on my booking. A breakdown in communication must have occurred after that. One person said the Deluxe room could not be changed to 2 single beds, and the other person said we had been given the Deluxe room in error. I'd recommend anyone needing a twin room make sure they e-mail the hotel AND phone them because it's obvious there is a flaw in the booking system/hotel arrangements. We were fortunate that our party were happy to share a double bed and we all continued to have a great holiday.

The hotel is situated right on the seafront with ample free parking. The lobby and bar area is modern, sleek and gorgeously decorated. The receptionist on the desk was also really friendly and helpful. Our bedroom had a lovely sea view out front.

Unfortunately the rooms were a little dated. The walls has some holes in them, the divan bed had seen better days and it just sadly didn’t match the modern, sleek appearance of the reception area. The room was also very warm with the sun beating in all day and when we called reception to ask for a fan they had none which was really disappointing.

Hotel was spotless throughout and well kept up. ‘Mary’ the receptionist was outstanding, very friendly, welcoming and a real pleasure to interact with. She is a credit to the hotel.

We had a standard room which although spotlessly clean is a little on the small side and has no fridge. When we checked out on the 10th May there was a young receptionist who we thought was very rude. She never even said goodbye when we left the hotel when our pick up arrived. Two French guests arrived early for check in and were told very rudely that check in is 3pm and you can leave your cases over there! Not a good first impression of the hotel!!

Smart friendly hotel ,good location with lots of parking, fantastic staff, nice room and great breakfasts(didn't eat at other times but the food looked great)

It is a wedding venue and our room (106)was directly above the stage. It was that loud we thought the DJ was in the room with us and it lasted until about 1am.We don't mind music as we go to music festivals but wow.So ask about your room if you think it would be an issue. The room was also quite hot for some reason. The bed was quite hard -I liked but it was a bit unforgiving for my wife.

The beds were very comfortable, and the breakfast choices were exceptional!!! Just when I thought it was just going to be a continental breakfast, the hostess asked if I wanted anything 'made to order,' and that this was part of the price I had paid! I then ordered a ham and cheese omelette on both days, which was absolutely delicious! Nice hot showers too and very secure locking door. I also liked that there were USB ports near the desk in the room!

I thought it was a little bit stuffy upstairs in terms of heat and that there could be better ventilation.

Friendly helpful staff throughout hotel. Room decoration nice just needing a freshen up ....bathroom absolutely fabulous with huge walk in shower and jacuzzi bath. Breakfast is included with room price. - very good selection provided for all dietry requirements. I had the full breakfast which was a large portion .

The hotel doesn't have a lift to rooms...we were made aware of this before travelling. my elderly mum travelled with me . Stairway to rooms is steep and very winding which gave me cause for concern for her safety. I think this should be made clear on website that anybody with mobility issues this hotel is not suitable.

it’s location was ideal , three minute walk to ferry and local shops at. Staff pleasant and helpful. Food fresh and tasty. Entrance to Hotel has a massive fish tank that you can also see from the dining room that kept my friend’s attention. Bathroom was great lovely big shower and always hot water.

The two winding set of stairs to access the bedrooms not too good for people with disabilities, though I had help to carry my luggage which was appreciated as I would be unable to carry it myself. A mistake on my part not realising the stairs were the only way of access to the rooms. The standard double room was small , bed was also small don’t think it would take two people of height, if I rolled over I was at the edge of it.The toilet door did not close and the window didn’t stay open. I understand the Hotel is having a refit at the end of this year.

Excellent location with amazing views, lovely large terrace, where thanks to weather we ate and watched sun set over bay. Dinner exceeded expectations, on quality & presentation. Full Scottish breakfast included in room rate, again excellent. Ample parking. Staff extremely helpful and welcoming.

Room very hot, fan provided unable to cool down adequately but temperature even at night was well above normal. Traces of mould in the shower cabinet which appear to have been cleaned / treated but beginning to return, probably due to lack of ventilation.
