Excellent value for money. Great location for our trip on the Paddle Steamer Waverley less than a minute from our room. Well kept and lovely and clean with plenty of hot water. John who dealt with us could not have been more helpful. Within short walk were Tesco & Morrison’s with cafe. A pizza take away and a excellent fish and chip cafe which also provided take aways. Again within a short walk was a shopping mall with a variety of shops. Ample parking space right outside your accommodation and even a KWIK FIT garage less than 100 yds away should you need one. lovely walks along the promenade where many enjoyed fishing. Found the area quiet and easily found. Totally recommend to anyone who is on a small budget and looking for good basic accommodation with tea/coffee etc provided tv and wi-fi. Will happily return at a future date especially when having a trip on the Waverley as it was so handy being so close for getting too and from the boat.

Can’t honestly say that there was anything I disliked considering the price paid. Room was a little tight but have stayed in similar sized rooms at more than double the price. Similar comment about the bathroom but more than happy considering price paid.

My room was clean, comfortable, and all the fscilities I required were provided. I dont expect to get an en suite toilet and shower and full set of towells,, kettle with tea/coffee/biscuits, tv, comfortable double bed, plenty of wardrobe and drawer space, internet wifi and even a shelf and stool to work at.for £42 a night.

Nothing. .......

Great location. Decent security. Excellent price. Basic small room with all that's needed. Not too bad a bed comfort wise. Hostel like kitchen facilities. Great shower water pressure. Controllable heating. Very good price - good value for 1 person, would be outstanding for 2. Would definitely stay again.

Fairly basic, some cleaning imperfections. Polycotton bedding. Small. Two people would struggle in that size room. But see positives on value.

True to it's name the Waterfront was right alongside the river Clyde which was a great location. It's a case of you get what you pay for and on balance, for the price the Waterfront "over"delivered. The room was not small, the bedding was adequate and clean and the shower was hot. Plus the free WiFi was strong and stable. What more do you really need?

Nothing. Very basic but great value.

The Waterfront is a hostel, tiny rooms with a communal kitchen / eating area that was very clean.

The “bathroom” needs attention. The property was difficult to find especially if you are looking for a hotel. It would help if Bookings.com supplied more directional details on finding their properties.

The location next to the river was idyllic. A river view room would be lovely however we were still very comfortable in our room at the end of the corridor, with no river view. Only one evening was a bit noisy due to the age profile of a group staying but otherwise peace and quiet - we enjoyed the conversations in the communal kitchen with other guests although I think we were the only ones who really cooked at any point during the week. The kitchen facilities were great - (although glad we had our own sharp knife with us). Aware not to keep dishes and cutlery unnecessarily in our room as cutlery especially was in short supply. The staff were so friendly and helpful. It was a budget stay, and the mattress reminded us of that! However we would definitely stay again if we were in the area 😃

Booked 2 rooms for 4 adults. 3 minute walk to the Beacon theatre to see Janey Godley. Lidl accross the road for munchies. Comfortable kitchen/lounge to meet up and chill in. John the caretaker is fantastic and made us really welcome. Went to see the Wallace Oak Memorial, Skelpies, 1820 memorial and a wee walk around. Loads to see locally. Cheap n cheerful place to stay, plenty parking.

Nothing much, it was great value for money.

The property is right next to the Clyde and we had a ground floor room with a view over the river and we could watch boats coming and going (Including the 'Waverly' which at one point drew up just outside our window! The accomodation was very basic, but it had a TV, ensuite bathroom, tea and coffee making, a comfortable bed and good WiFi, which is all we need. There was also access to a kitchen just a few dors down the corridor which had fridge and freezer space as well as a cooker and microwave etc. Don't expect the Ritz but at this price I feel it gave excellent value for money. There was also plenty of parking newr the building, only a short walk to the Train station where we could get a direct train to Glasgow Central, there was a Lidls just across the road and plenty of Take away outlets near by.

The ensuite shower room was quite small and for some reason we were getting warm (or even hot) water from the cold tap most of the time.... Possibly due to the close proximity of the two supplies and the Hot water was very hot! Having said that, non of these things outweighed the positives listed above.

Came up to Scotland for the open at Troon and based out of Greenock for the week due to the extortionate price of hotels in East Ayrshire. The waterfront was clean, in a good location for local conveniences and the staff were friendly and helpful. We spent most of the week out golfing, drinking and watching the golf but this was a good place to get a good nights sleep and a shower the next day! Would stay again when the open returns to Troon. Also - free parking for an our very large van came in handy.

Top floor gets a little bit hot and the window didn’t open enough to provide much ventilation.

John who welcomed us and gave us our keys was lovely and very friendly!! I was very anxious about a few things and he put my mind at ease! , Thank you!! Location was ideal for what we needed it for loads of stuff was near by too! such as Morrison's, Lidl, Hungry horse (Fab food lovely staff) and 2 small retail parks! 1 was walking distance, one was a bit further out but still very local!, leisure center was also walking distance too!, nice waterfront location (cold but lovely), boat dock area too and lovely walking routes also local to bus routes and train station! <3 1 MAIN thing I was really happy to hear was it was a very secure place, locked rooms, password doors & CCTV for it being in such an open location that made me feel safer, also being super close to the police station! (be warned if your here at weekends it can be busy! lol! with sirens!) but just make sure you shut the door into the blocks firmly! this would be the main door i would only be firm with! as sometimes other guests forgot to do this and it would be left open.

Some Noisy Guests, due to this being old student accommodation all the doors are fire doors which is a good thing but a lot of the guests who were in our block kept coming in and out and slamming the doors or standing out side in the parking area talking very loudly under guests windows. so struggled to settle the first night and sleep, second night wasnt as bad dont know if some left or were out for the night unsure. but to be honest everything else was fine! oh and was gutted i didnt get a waterfront view !! lol!! :(
