Just what we wanted for an overnight stay to explore the Kent coast. Was clean and comfortable offering everything you could want in a room for one night. Nice touch was a small carafe of Madeira wine (I think, but it was delicious) and there was a Nespresso machine with several pods, a kettle and teabags and fresh milk and bottles of water provided with extra of everything at our disposal. Breakfast was generous, tasty and beautifully presented. Lovely staff and would be more than happy to return.

The noise from downstairs was somewhat loud but this subsided in plenty of time for us to enjoy a restful night.

We stayed at the Duke William for the second time and were welcomed like old friends. Team, rooms, pub and location are all outstanding. Ickham is a lovely village and the perfect starting point for excursions towards the coast or Canterbury. The team is very kind and happy to accommodate special dietary needs (gluten-free diet). There's nothing better than coming back to the lively pub for dinner after a day out discovering Kent and the beautiful rooms feel like home. We will be back for sure - the sooner the better!

We couldn't stay for breakfast as we had an early start. I was gutted that we were going to miss out on an amazing breakfast. The staff left a hamper outside the room of 3 fruit pastries, 2 bottles of Kent fruit juice and muesli. The staff were amazing and so helpful. The evening meal we had was truly spectacular. I felt like I was in a Masterchef kitchen!

Unfortunately there was no milk for the muesli. There was also no milk in the room for the tea and coffee.

Nice pub with good food in the center of a small village. The pub is great with a nice atmosphere and good food. I would definitely recommend to have dinner here! Staff is very friendly and welcoming.

The rooms are nice, although the furniture all feels a bit cheap and unstable. Unfortunately they forgot to prepare the breakfast basket they kindly offered us because we needed to leave before breakfast was served in the restaurants.

Lovely and freshly cooked breakfast with an amazing selection of items. Well appointed rooms and great location. Adam was incredibly helpful providing good advice about reputable taxi firms in the location. The team were all very helpful and the pub had a lovely warm and welcoming feel. Lots of lovely local people to chat with too.

Nothing major though there was abit of a challenge with parking as its a village location but Adam was very helpful.

Visiting Aylesham/Barham so was ideally situated for us. Two of us had to be up very early and they kindly organised a hamper for us, consisting of cereal, pastries, apples and a couple of bottles of juice. The other two members of our party missed breakfast but were kindly provided with sausage/bacon rolls and tea. We didn't eat or drink at the pub as was attending a family gathering but on check-in it seemed welcoming and friendly.

Everything! This is your quintessential pub stay in the garden of England. The quaintest little village. The pub is amazing, the food was incredible, we had dinner and breakfast. The people were so welcoming and friendly. The rooms are modern and decor lovely and the Chocolate Port in your room is a special touch. There’s nothing we didn’t like about the Duke William and we will be back.

There wasn’t anything to dislike. Pub closes at 11pm but it’s quiet around 9.30pm.

Beautifully renovated luxury pub tucked away in a small, fairytale village. The rooms are refined, everything shows attention to detail. The bar and restaurant are cosy and quaint. The pub is the centre for the villagers who meet here every afternoon. There is a garden and a conservatory. The food is of excellent quality. One of the best steaks I've ever had in the UK. But as you can imagine, it all comes with a price.

Loose toilet seat, but that was it :-)

We were staying to attend a wedding locally and the location was excellent. The coffee machine in the room was a touch The room was nicely considered and had everything we needed. Even ear plugs and a little port were provided as the room was above the pub. The breakfast was superb and we had the special - mussels for our evening meal which were delicious.

A little biscuit would have been nice for the tea/ coffee in the room but that's it.

Car parking close by and convenient. Cheerful, courteous and helpful staff; excellent food - good choice for a small menu but very well prepared. Room - though not large - was well equipped, very clean and very comfortable - particularly the en suite facilities. Excellent value for money all round. Look forward to being able to return some time in the future if at all possible!

Nothing to dislike.
