Excellent location, right in the City centre. Quiet, comfortable room, overlooking Canterbury Cathedral. Amazing "water-fall" shower. Everything in the bathroom worked! Water, when needed was hot. Amazing, comfortable bed. Free Wi-Fi, a real plus. Air-con was very good & responsive. Room service each day, topping up tea/coffee, but also bottled water & luxury biscuits, (nice touch!) Ironing board etc, hairdryer, USB charger points & extra pillows, ( again, a nice touch.) Had breakfast each morning in the pub downstairs. Friendly staff & pretty much faultless food. All in all, a really nice 4 night stay

Earlier check-in option. I don't mind paying for it.

We loved the comfort, friendliness, cleanliness and general atmosphere. The double bed was very comfortable and the shower was amazing.

It really wasn’t clear when booking that some rooms which had a sky light actually didn’t have a window. This is due to the rooms facing the cathedral and planning permissions. But, the room was large, airy, and bright, but, do not make the mistake we did at thinking we’d also have a window with the additional skylight! It is important to comment that I’ve never felt so relaxed in a room before! So, an odd plus point for not having a window!!

Excellent location. 15 minutes from Canterbury West Station. In the heart of Canterbury. Shops , restaurants, the Cathedral all close by. Even though it was over the pub we never heard any noise from it in our room. Bottled water supplied every day and great air conditioning as it was 29 degrees outside when we arrived. Breakfast was very reasonably priced and good. Prices for meals and drinks in the bar was cheap as well.

Only annoying thing was the Internet. You have to keep signing into the Cloud , but that's only a minor niggle.

Having to change our accommodation part way through our week, this property was chalk and cheese compared to our 1st one. The room was spacious and so clean and comfortable, a really quiet and well supplied room. The bathroom was superb for my wife who is slightly disabled and so this part of the room was essential. A seat for her to sit in the shower, the wet room was amazing and so helpful, thankyou all at the hotel. Everything about the room was spot on, the staff were friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Thankyou for a great stay. The location of the hotel was also great and you would not know you were above a pub. Security was also spot on and key card access to the lift and key card access to the corridor where the rooms are located is another great idea.

Nothing to dislike.

Location is central to everything. The rooms are comfortable, great showers and fluffy towels. There’s only a small number of rooms over two floors of bars and restaurants but amazingly you can’t hear a thing and we were there on very busy Friday and Saturday nights. After sightseeing all day it was great to come back to extensive meal and drink combo options at very reasonable prices. Staff were efficient and friendly and the food quickly appeared.

No refrigerator in the room but didn’t really miss it.

Location was perfect. Room was lovely. Bathroom was excellent. Lovely decor and very clean.

If you're going to use twin beds pushed together to make a double, at least use a mattress topper to remove the ridge in the middle. The noise from the beer delivery at 5am was horrific and lasted ages. It would have been nice to have been offered a room on the other side or been pre warned. Also.. the curtains didn't entirely fill the gap in the window, which to most people wouldn't be a big deal... but the light came into the room like a laser!!

Second stay, liked the little touches like free water! Superb shower, good air con. On a hot day/night. Comfy bed all in a City where prices are high but this place is an exception for a very cheap one night stay!

As always, unfortunately the pub side of things is about of a let down. It’s inevitable that, with cheap drinks prices the clientele, part of it anyway, ruin the atmosphere of the place. The F word reigns supreme in what I call the ‘swearing section’. There is always a section in any Wetherspoon pub, comprised of local regulars which with an effort

The room was spacious and clean. The shower was powerful and the bed was very comfortable. We didn't know it was Pride weekend so the pub was packed with people but we didn't hear a sound in the room we stayed

There was no window just a sky light but the ac was sufficient so wasn't needed. Parking is very expensive next to the hotel. We parked in the main cathedral car park and it cost £7 for 50 mins then 3.50ph after that. We moved to East Canterbury Station where it only cost £3.50 for the whole day. Its about a 10 minute walk away but definitely worth it

The room was very nice. My friend said it was a little noisy because we were at the front and you could hear the nois from the pub outside. This did not bother me so I would say depends on your own preferance. I loved the fact that I could bring my drink from the bar when I went to my room. And a Wetherspoons breakfast is value fomoney and I didn't have to leave my hotel to find it. We will be looking to stay in another Wetherspoons hotel in another part of the country to see if they are all as nice.

We were in the disabled room as I needed the walk in shower for my mum.The room was huge with very easy access, especially if somebody was using a wheelchair. The beds were comfortable and the staff quickly changed the double bed to two singles when asked. The pub was very busy but being up on the second floor there wasn't an issue with noise at all.Great location for all the shops, pubs and restaurants. All staff were extremely polite and helpful. The pub food was really good and cheap drinks as always.

The bathroom was very big with a small towel rail heater which was hot but didn't really heat the room. The shower could have been hotter too. No radiators in the bedroom. You have to use the Aircom system for heat, which I didn't realise so my fault.Although saying that I didn't think the bedroom was cold but my mum did a bit. No window, which I knew about.Only a sky light which didn't have any sort of blind to stop light in the morning.
