Staff couldn't be more helpful. Little Sue and Big Sue on reception couldn't do enough. The room was spotlessly clean, and the bed was huge. Brand new TV with all the apps you need. Nespresso machine as well. The castaway bar downstairs is worth a visit, especially at happy hour. We are local to Liverpool, and we hate getting a taxi home and always stay out. We usually stay down in the Albert Dock but will definitely be switching to this hotel for future visits. Car park was included but it's next to lime street train station so we can travel here easily.

We were located at the back of the hotel on the 6th floor. The noise from the train station is pretty loud, even with the window closed. I'd ask for a room at the front of the hotel next time. There was no air con, but the window opened, and there was a huge fan in the room.

We have stayed at the Liner Hotel on several previous occasions. We always find the front of house reception staff to be very professional and helpful. Our room on the 6th Floor was comfortable with a great shower, large TV, plenty of hanging space, a safe and a view across Lime Street Station to the wider skyline. The room was extremely warm (we should have requested a fan) but it was a nice comfortable room and we were more than happy. We thoroughly enjoyed the hotel breakfast especially the freshly cooked items and were pleased to find that the toasting machine was at a setting for perfect golden toast (which a rarity in so many hotels). Having primarily booked the hotel because we were attending a theatre show on the Saturday, we also had the pleasure of attending the free entry Record Fair at the hotel on the Sunday morning. We will certainly be back.

The room was very clean, the hotel had parking right next door, a fan in the room which was great as it was too noisy to leave window open (the room was v warm) and this acted as white noise AND helped with the temperature so we slept like babies, good buffet breakfast. Good pillows and although the mattresses were a bit softer than I usually have, they were v comfortable. Great having a fridge and tea making facilities in the room.

No plugs or USB ports anywhere near the beds and didn’t like the crowd of smokers at the entrance when we arrived as the whole reception stank of cigarette smoke. It wasn’t as bad the rest of our stay

Very clean and comfortable. Upgraded on arrival and the super king bed was amazing! The hotest temperatures all week and sadly no air conditioning in the bedrooms but large fans were supplied which only circulated the hot air lol! The food and meals in the Seven Seas restaurant were excellent but staff were overwhelmed by the start of Tina the musical in the theatre next door and offering pre-theatre meals which caused a lot of disgruntled customers waiting over an hour for their food and unable to wait and finish before rushing to theatre.

location. literally yards from Lime St. Station and relatively quiet but we always take ear plugs as we like the window open.. staff super friendly and helpful. Good breakfast too. Lovely large TV for when the weather was awful one night. Small fridge, complimentary bottled water and cookies as well as shower gels etc. Lively crisp linen. Very clean with daily house keeping. Shower was pretty decent too. Easy tu use safe in the adequate wardrobe. Overall, an ideal spot just 10 minutes walk from everywhere.

lack of light in the room/bathroom (speaking as a lady) no mirror at the desk and plug not near enough to the mirror in the hall for hair dryer. Beds too soft (but that's just my personal preference)

It’s was very central for what we needed it for. The reception staff were lovely and very helpful, the restaurant staff were excellent. The beds were very comfortable.

The room doors are very heavy so when people came in after a night out the doors slammed so woke you up. The window in our room was broken, so it either had to stay open or stay closed, the telephone in the room wasn’t working either, so if you needed to speak to reception (to report the window) you had to go down to reception, both the window and telephone were reported to reception but neither was fixed by the time we left after our 3 night visit.

Just finishing our stay here. I can not recommend it enough. The staff are friendly, and very accommodating.The rooms are a great size with a lovely comfortable bed. Daily room service puts the icing on the cake. It was great to come back at the end of a busy day to a lovely tidy room with fresh drinking water and a small packet of biscuits for a little treat. We only ate once at the hotel, the breakfast was delicious. The castaway bar is nicely placed and quite reasonably priced for a city hotel. You could not ask for a better location. 3 mins from Limstreet and a five minute walk into the city centre itself. Fabulous place!!

The only downfall would be the hill that needs to be climbed at the end of a day.

Great location very close to Lime Street Station. Free car park available for those driving. Easy walk into the city centre. Buffet style breakfast with good selection. Lifts to all floors. Separate bar with great selection...and a daily happy hour. Restaurant also available, though we didn't have time to try it. Luggage storage available for early arrival or on last day. Fridge in room.

No hair dryer in room on arrival...did get delivered after second request. Those with mobility difficulties may have trouble getting in and out of bath/shower....don't know if accessible rooms are available. No plugs near beds.

Was upgraded on arrival so was really pleased with the room, great that there was also a fridge which was appreciated due to the hot weather, Everything was lovely and clean and well presented. Bed so comfy and linen, towels etc spotless, The location couldn't be better for me as it's a short walk from the train station and theatre, Didn't have breakfast as only have a small bowl cereal normally which I brought with me.

Had a little difficulty with the shower controls. Found it a bit difficult with the little buttons, but managed. Have arthritis in my joints so that possibly didn't help

The hotel is in a very good location, everything is truly within walking distance. The interior spaces are beautiful, and the atmosphere feels homey. On the positive side, breakfast was plentiful and delicious, the beds were comfortable, and the room temperature was perfect.

However, there were two negative experiences. One was related to the staff. There was a lady at the reception who found it very difficult to be kind. I must not have been sympathetic to her, because she treated the guest in front of me in line very differently than she treated me. I suppose she was annoyed that I didn’t always understand her pronunciation and had to ask her to repeat herself. In contrast, the staff at breakfast and housekeeping were extremely kind. Thank you to them for helping us forget the unpleasant experience at the reception. The other issue was cleanliness — unfortunately, there was mold in several places in the bathroom.
