Good location helpful staff, parking right on site.lovely breakfast. Really nice bath, comfortable bed and panoramic view.

Decor was really odd, and tatty, loose coving, pink paint everywhere ,bit strange having mirrors on the ceiling and in the bath. Know it was a theme room but was the theme orgy, not sure! It was cold too, difficult to heat a massive space and very noisy from other rooms. Only one chair, and a coffee table in a really big room. Kettle and cups in the wardrobe, really strange, no complimentary water, so strange for an expensive room. It's the Shankly hotel, saw very little related to either Bill Shankly or LFC tbh.

Pretty much everything, it a hotel end of the day and it provides the service it offers. Clean and comfortable.

Room 104 is haunted. Woken at 5.30am too loud bangs on the door. Jumped out of bed and swung the door open while knocking noise was happening and wasn't a soul to be seen or heard anywhere on the corridor... take from that what you will.if

The location was excellent close to everything. The jacuzzi bath was lush after a long days sightseeing. We had 4 single beds and there was loads of space, we had a wheelchair with us and the space was amazing. The toiletries in the bathroom were good quality and smelt nice. We were in room 220 and the view onto the street was nice to people watch from. Staff were helpful and friendly.

I thought the breakfast was expensive at 17.95 you could prebook for 15, we didnt bother just went out . The room looked a bit tired, the sink was cracked and the floor warped it didn’t take anything away from the stay. The hotel was situated next to a main road so could be noisy with the traffic outside and sirens going off.

The hotel was lovely, and the deco was the finest. The spa bath in the room had to be one of our favourites. The staff were lovely and accomidating. We went for the Christmas markets, and they were just across the road from the hotel just down from lime Street stations. The location was perfect.excellent hotle would defo recommend.

The TV in the bedroom kept freezing constantly. The room was clean but needed a bit more attention to dust on the wardrobe and window sils. We paid for a later checkout but were disturbed by the cleaners next door blasting music. Singing and banging about so the later check out is pointless.

The reception area is stunning. The most beautiful hotel reception I've ever stayed at. Food at The Bastion was also really good. The bed is very comfortable. Location is absolutely perfect for Xmas Market and shopping, plus loads of bars and places to eat nearby.

The bedrooms don't match up to the beautiful reception so you're left a tad disappointed after being greeted by that and then seeing the bedroom. It was dated and a bit shabby looking. But the bed was very comfortable. Was very much looking forward to a whirlpool bath...the water was stone cold...absolutely freezing. So that couldn't be utilised either. Very noisy...but this is not the fault of the hotel...just disrespectful guests at 2am/3am returning from nights out shouting and screaming in the corridors...but you get that anywhere I guess. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

I absolutely love the shankley Hotel iv stayed here afew times this time treating my mum for her 60th birthday with her friends.. Beds where comfy Very clean Close to everything

there was 7 of us afew there 1st time staying here.. room 413 windows was broke so that bad wind over the weekend ye we felt it in the room.. rain came in so curtains where wet too.... we told reception n a fella come n put some duct tape over it . Yes it helped but you guys need sort it out.. plus water wasn't very hot.. shower water was warmer.. overall we enjoyed our stay but some things need sorting .. x

The staff at reception were honestly the nicest I’ve ever dealt with. From the start of booking to arriving and leaving they were always so helpful and had a laugh with us! It must be hard when there is so many large groups having a drink etc but they didn’t seem bothered or agitated by anyone they where making sure we had the best time and always asked how we are and if we enjoyed the day/night! We got an upgrade on the way there and it was the most stunning room I’ve ever stayed in it made our weekend 100x better. Even the housekeeper who came to fill the tub for us was lovely, she was chatting away to us and having a laugh at our drunken stories while the bath was filling up! Couldn’t fault the place at all. Great job from the Shankly hotel staff I would highly HIGHLY recommend to book here if anyone was travelling to Liverpool! I will be back for sure.

Location is fantastic, reception area looked amazing decorated for Christmas, staff were friendly and the food in the restaurant was superb. We had a lovely big room with comfy bed and the jacuzzi was fab (once we had managed to get it hot).

The room wasn't very warm, the water wasn't very hot, we had to boil the kettle several times to use the jacuzzi, the carpets/floors are very stained and not much choice of hot drinks in the room (no green tea even after requesting some).

Beautiful reception area. The guy that checked us in was very helpful and interacted with us abt our stay. Fresh towels etc on 2nd day. Location The room was lovely.

Hallway heading into the room was bit grubby especially the carpet. Staff didn't make much contact with any guests I went to the bar by myself to get 4 drinks, I couldn't carry them all at once and had to do 2 trips. The bar staff where not busy, it was 12.30 and lunch hadn't started yet, place was very quiet yet I wasn't offered a helping hand. 2nd shower or separate toilet would be better option for 8 people in one room. Bathroom is very big and has wasted space

Clean, well run hotel with lots of personality. The customer service was excellent and Lily on the front desk went out of her way to make sure the check-in and check-out process was v easy. Breakfast was very good and the staff were very helpful. Hot tea and coffee just kept coming, which was excellent. The buffet breakfast was worth getting up for and everything was fresh and well cooked. Roof top terrace was fantastic and great opportunity to see over Liverpool. Overall hotel / staff / rooms / Food was very good and look forward to returning again very soon.

Roof top terrace was a bit chaotic for ordering drinks and food, but staff available were trying their best. More staff needed to help it run even better. Our bedroom was only serviced 2/3 days, which was disappointing especially when no fresh towels left for us to use in the meantime.
