Room was very comfortable and well equipped. Bed very comfy.

There were many, many flights of stairs up a narrow passageway. With large suitcases it would very difficult. Stairs are also steep. There was no advance warning of this and next time we would request a ground floor room. If you have problems with stairs, be warned!

The bed is so soft and comfortable, after a long day of traveling the city, it was like a cloud. You are also about a 12 minute walk to St. Pancras station which is a bonus. It’s a very quiet area and you can really get some good rest.

There is no lift, but that is really about it, if I had to complain about anything.

Amazing location, the rooms and beds were very comfortable. The continental breakfast and meals in the great hall were outstanding. Nespresso coffee machine +pods and tea with milk, a safe and fire place(non-working) and rainfall shower made for a very comfortable stay. Surrounding area had tremendous shops, restaurants and facilities.staff very helpful and went the extra mile. Amazing stay, highly recommend!

Room location within the hotel-we asked for quiet part of the hotel and we’re put in the noisiest part right near the front lobby. Could not have been more opposite of our request. Bathrooms are not well though out, nowhere to store toiletries.

Room was nicely decorated and clean

No air conditioning and window opened onto internal corridor which was lit all night. I felt concerned for my safety and security as people walked passed and could reach into the room while we slept! Gave it a second chance and paid for a garden view room which was much better!

Though rather small, the room was lovely, with high ceilings and a queen bed( double beds are the norm in the UK). The best part was being able to go across to the college for meals, and for a reasonable price. The location was nice too. We were near parks, and not too far from town.

We were on the ground floor, so people talking on the sidewalk outside the window and cars going by were very close. However, it was quiet during sleeping hours, and if you're gone during the day and evening, or not staying 5 nights as we did, it's not too big of a problem. We had no other concerns, and there's really nothing the hotel can do about it. It just is.

Loved the staff and the fact that you had your own little mini apartment! Was a fairly spacious room with good basic facilities and a nice shower.

My two small issues with our room were that the door didn’t have a lock from the inside (I’m always nervous whenever I have to only rely on card key mechanisms keeping intruders out so a manual lock helps this!) and that the room didn’t have aircon - didn’t realise until the morning we left that the large windows slide open but I don’t want to leave these open all night as it would be noisy whenever someone walks past, and the fan they gave us just pushed the warm air around.

Room was smaller than expected but very clean and comfortable. Windows provided good light and beautiful view of park across the road. Fabulous population of parrots in the plane trees. Breakfast in cafeteria very basic. Location super quiet. 15 min to Kings Cross so good for tube. Lovely little private park was gated -- but the hotel has a key to be borrowed. It was a welcome retreat after a day in the city.

Unexpected: not saying it was bad -- we wanted superior room because of bed size but didn't anticipate the 60+ stairs we had to climb to get to it. Also: full breakfast included but not sure it it was mentioned it would be across street in Goodenough College Great Hall....pleasant and fine for us but might not suit people who expect bespoke omelets and such.

First of all, everyone was so kind and professional in welcoming me and putting me at my ease: all the guys at the reception and the lady from the room service were amazing and very patient with me. My room was a brand new recently renovated single room at the third floor: it had the right dimension for one person, bed was super comfy and the bathroom had a spacious shower. In the room I could find everything I needed: a kettle with tea, some very delicious Walker caramel biscuits, a bottle of water (very thoughtful), the iron, the hairdryer, the courtesy set, two sets of soft cotton towels. The neighbourhood is safe and quiet and the position of the hotel is perfect to visit the city, especially if you like to walk like I do: just a few minute walk from King's Cross railway station, right behind the British museum and Covent Garden, ad there are a lot of facilities around the corner. I really enjoyed my stay: everything was perfect and lovely!

We just came back from 3 days birthday celebration trip to London. Stayed at the Goodenough hotel for 2 nights, and it was great. Our room was in a beautiful old building with high ceilings and sash windows, room looked like it has recently been redecorated, everything looked new and fresh with a beautiful tasteful decor. There is a fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, in the room. The bathroom was also new, with shower cabin, which I personally prefer to bathtub, power in a shower was great, and having Molton brown toiletries was also a bonus. The staff at the reception were very friendly and helpful, I was pleasantly surprised to be given bottle of wine and box of my favourite chocolates as a birthday present on my special day, such a beautiful thoughtful gesture, I was very touched. All in all fantastic experience and will definitely book again next time we are in London.

Room was a great size and nicely decorated. It was impressively quiet - didn't hear traffic or other guests. Beds were very comfortable. Staff were very friendly- great welcome and more than happy to store our bags as we arrived before check in. It was in a great location easy to walk to from station and then easy to walk from here around London.

Bathroom initially smelt of damp. As the windows didn't open this problem was solved by turning on the light which started fan. There weren't enough sachets of milk for the two of us to have a cup of tea (we use 2 each instead of 1) I am sure if we had asked this would have been solved but we didn't fancy walking next door to ask.
