Beautiful building full of character, the staff were friendly and made us feel very welcome, clean spacious room, comfortable bed, tasty breakfast and all in all a lovely atmosphere. We live in The Netherlands and were traveling with 2 children (aged 1 and 4). The staff really looked after us and made sure we had everything we needed. A baby cot and comfy camp bed were provided for the kids, there were plenty of high chairs and the staff were thoughtful enough to even put some extra bottled water in the room for us.
We loved everything

We had a fab and friendly welcome. Manager carried cases to our room and showed how to use the heating, tv etc bar staff were really friendly and funny. Room was spacious with lots of fab little touches such as a free bottled beer, coffee bags insted of those horrid granules, bottled water, fresh proper milk, cookies. Lovely body wash, clensers and moisturiser. Bed was super comfy loads of sockets, and wardbrobe space! Breakfast was beautiful- big choice staff really friendly and chatty went above and beyond. Had a fab 3 nights!
The only tiny negative was you could hear the sink and water running from the next room that was it so a super picky thing.

Beautiful Location, in the heart of prestbury, very quaint. Large room, we requested this one as we had stayed the previous 2 years for our anniversary, this was accommodated really well. Cleanliness good overall. Great facilities, coffee machine, condiments, towels & toiletries all provided. Good storage options, TV and a comfortable lounge area within the room. Staff friendly and helpful. Easy check in and payment. Breakfast was fresh, lots of choice.
Car parking could have been a little easier, maybe more reserved spots for people specifically staying over? Room very warm and not always easy to figure out how to adjust the heat.

This extraordinary hotel gives you the feeling of the real essence of the British hospitality in a location where you feel the history of the past centuries; you experience immediately the warmth of the ancient style of the dining- and sleepingrooms wonderfully furnished in harmony to the history of this typical English countryside house. You will always come back when you are again in the area of Manchester.
Well; it's only the housecoffee which had a bit a flat taste; better order a Cappuccino or drink firs quality blacktea.

Lovely traditional yet up-market pub with restaurant and rooms above. Dinner and breakfast both offered a varied and modern menu. The bar was a comfortable place to sit for a drink and generous bar snacks. Our room was practically a suite with large bed, seating area, dressing area and ensuite bathroom. It's a shame we were only there for one night.
It's a little pricey and there isn't a lot to do or see in Prestbury itself but it's a luxurious stopover or base for exploring the wider area.

We love the location in the village, busy pub, lovely atmosphere reasonably priced food and drink and the accommodation is nice.
The only complaint we actually had about the accommodation or the room we were in was that the room itself was/is fabulous, however, the heating could do with having some kind of controls in the room as it is just way to hot which makes sleeping in the room pretty uncomfortable. There doesn’t appear to be any way to control it so you just end up sleeping out of the covers all night and still sweating…. we still really like it tho,👍

Clean Quaint Polite Attentive Helpful
Lack of air con in the suite on the fourth floor - very hot - hard to sleep - tiny fan- windows didn’t create enough circulation The music selection didn’t suit the property. I felt the quaint cottage environment deserved lees of a corporate sound and more of a calm sound. Something to ease your morning - instead of American pop music. Needed English classical style music to complete the charm. Like Henry Purcell ….

Helpful staff. Taxis booked for me (Amy) and tweaks made to evening meals. Fruit available for breakfast on first day but only brought when requested on the second. Lovely buzz on Friday evening Liked pink flowers on tables to pick up pink in wallpaper. No silly cushions on bed
Information in room needs updating as it mentions buses but no-one knew anything about them. Decoration in bedroom not to my taste: the fashionable grey does not co-ordinate with wood

Great location in Prestbury which is a smart village. Plenty of parking (just remember to register your car at reception). Staff friendly and helpful. Room and bathroom clean and plenty big enough. Bed comfotable. Breakfast had great choice of cooked items which were well prepared and tasty. Not quite so great on the pastries (my personal favourite!) but altogether good value and the restaurant has loads of character.

We liked the little touches that you did like the table wedges to keep the table level due to the age of the place the floor had become uneven over the hundred of years. Also liked the naming of the rooms rather than numbers. We were surprised at how big it was inside as looking at it from outside it looked small, but once you get inside everything opened up.
Only problem we had was when having a shower. The shower glass was not doing the job of keeping the water from going onto the floor, would recommend replacing with a curtain or as the beam in the ceiling it there find a way to be able to have a sliding door. I ended up having to mop up the water in the bathroom using the small towels.
