We had a great stay. Good communication from owners and onsite staff Bev and Nigel who sorted out a couple of problems we had which were dealt with quickly and effectively. The Lodges are well equipped and had added extras like T towel, foil, cling film, washing up liquid etc. The beds were comfortable and Oak Lodge was clean. Good location for the wedding venue we went to. Will definitely stay hear again but next time take advantage of some of the extras which are offered.

There was nothing I didn't like or could offer the owners to improve on what they provide.

Spacious and well equipped for self catering break, clean and tidy.

When we arrived we were told the fridge freezer was out of order so were given a small desk top freezer but wasn’t really large enough. The roof windows were filthy dirty, the patio furniture was too dirty to use covered in rust and green mildew. There were no instructions on how to use anything like the heating, the air con and whilst we were shown how to open door from outside the process for opening from the inside when locked proved quite a challenge. None of this spoiled our break however it would have been nice to sit outside, and these are areas which could really be improved with little effort.

Lovely how quiet and peaceful the site is. Also has a little honesty shop which sells frozen foods, snacks etc which is helpful if you don’t want to leave the site once your there. A lady staff member who was there when we arrived was really lovely, recommended lots of places for us to go and visit whilst we were there which was really appreciated given we weren’t local to the area. Quick check in and check out system which is ideal. The lodge is fully equipped with all kitchen appliances and accessories so plates, cutlery, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets etc, again ideal if you wanted to cook in rather than eat out. We were also able to order a take out to the site to be delivered from a local place.

Can’t really find one fault with our stay, had everything we needed.

We chose the lodges as it was really close to the wedding venue we were visiting and only 10 minutes to Congleton with plenty of shops, restaurants and bars. The lodge was lovely and had everything we needed. The bedrooms were large and comfortable and having an ensuite was definitely a bonus. It was quiet on the site as there are only a few lodges.

There were a couple of maintenance issues when we arrived that the agent were aware of, this would have been helpful to have been informed of before our arrival (front door code broken/broken bedroom handle/no heating in one of the bedrooms). There is a train line behind the lodge but it didn't affect our sleep.

Good location for the purpose of our visit., which was to visit family in the area. Really liked the proximity to the Macclesfield Canal and walking along the tow path. The property was spacious with three good sized bedrooms and the shower is great for those with reduced mobility. Also great to be all on one level. Really liked the raised terrace although the weather not really good enough to use it.

I did not receive the email/text on the day of arrival advising of the entry code. However, more importantly it was not made clear until I received this text that towels were not provided, by which time we had already arrived at the property - needs to be clear at the time of booking. The step to the front door of the the property is very deep. My Mother-in -Law nearly fell twice. A hand rail would be helpful.

The Lodge was extremely spacious and very homely everywhere was immaculately clean. The beds were so comfortable and the bedding very clean all of which is a compliment to Beverley the housekeeper who is such a lovely person to communicate with . Such a lovely lodge but such a same about the trains and noise that they create when passing so disappointing

The noise of the trains During the day night & the early morning was not a welcome sound which unfortunately detracted from our stay It meant that your alarm clock was set for 5.58 every morning by the Express train Manchester to London train passing and it shook the lodge as it went by. We were in the Oak Lodge and it felt like the trains & the noise were in our bedroom.

We stayed in Oak Lodge.. Great accommodation really cosy feel especially when the log fire was lit. Very spacious outdoor terrace. Lodges are in quiet location off the beaten track. Ideal for staying in to attend wedding event at Heaton House Farm,or for visiting local beauty spots.

The railway track is close but that said it didn't disturb our sleep. Some of the fixtures needed maintenance but the main one was patio door lock ...was hit amd miss at locking...my fella is locksmith and said if not fixed soon could be costly to repair. We managed to lock it but the next occupants might not! The second double bedroom radiator shown in photos was locked OFF and the room was very cold. I did message owner asking how to turn this on but no reply. No remote control for TV in Master bedroom and door handle loose. These are just niggles which just need some maintenance and they would NOT deter me from staying again or recommending to others. 😊

The lodges were beautiful and surprisingly big plenty of space, would comfortably sleep 6. The whole lodge was spotless. Kitchen was completely kitted with what you could need. I couldn't fault the lodge itself. Really beautiful place to stay.

The only major issue is their check in system. Once booked you assigned a lodge. However it does state that you'll be contacted on the day of check in which I assume would of confirmed which lodge we would be staying in. We never recieved this so arrived at the lodges and found that the lodge we had been assigned when we booked was occupied and the phone signal is poor (to be expected it being rural) so calling owners is difficult. This issue could be easily eliminated by being contacted by email/text on day of check in. Speaking to other guests during our stay others had similar issues. Small issue. No towels provided wish this was specified.

Awesome accommodation - high spec, well decorated and very clean. Lots of space for my wedding party to all be together and for a super cheap price. There were more than enough kitchen utensils for us to cook, eat and drink and security wise, it was very safe. Really great stay, will book again!

I'd have liked to have been able to use the hot tubs, but it requires prior arrangement with the owner and it was a little challenging getting in touch as he was out of the country (which can't be helped).

Place was easy to find and access . It was clean and well decorated. Kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need for cooking. We arrived last minute due to over booking in our hotel. The host managed to turn the cabins around for us arriving . Place is lovely right in the middle of the woods. Will defo be back. Kids loved it

Pillows were pretty flat and the curtains aren't black out so the light is in the rooms as soon as sun rises . This isn't a criticism as I know many people like different types of pillows . I am sensitive to light and as soon as there is light that's me awake. I will take my own pillows next time and a blackout sheet for the window . Again this is personal choice but really can't fault the place
