A lovely family run little BnB close to Marlborough. The hosts were welcoming, with a lovely warm room for our arrival. The room was basic, yet spacious and immaculately clean. They provided a couple of nice homemade treats, which were appreciated with a cup of tea. Generous cooked breakfast provided. With parking out the front, or on the side of the road.

The bed was only a double, which, whilst cosy, we don't find comfortable as a couple. But this wasn't a big issue, just a note if you're looking for a spacious bed.

There were almost too many good things about the Inn to list! The staff were extremely friendly and easy to talk to, and they were very sweet to our cat who came along for the ride. We accidentally left a small item behind in our room and the staff happily posted it out to us, free of charge. We ordered pints and dinner in the pub and thoroughly enjoyed both sitting on a comfy sofa next to a wood-burning fireplace. The place was clearly a popular watering hole with locals as well, and it added to the experience that we weren't just surrounded by other holidaymakers. Breakfast was delicious and served in sensible portions. Coffee from a cafetiere was a nice touch, far superior to instant! The rooms were simple but well appointed and each one was named after a local site. We stayed in the Stonehenge room. I particularly liked that the decor was centred around framed high-quality photographs of the local area. The bathroom deserves a special mention as it was immaculately clean and had a shower/bath combination with great water pressure. A little jar of shortbread biscuits on check was just the thing to make it feel homey. Our main interest in the area was visiting the Neolithic stone circle at Avebury, and it was a good location for us (roughly a 20-minute drive.) I am not sure how accessible it would be via coach or train but with your own car, it is perfect! We will absolutely make a second trip to the area, probably in a warmer month. When we do, the Inn with the Well is the place to stay!

We arrived in the evening and, after dropping our bags in the room, popped into the pub/restaurant. Lovely roaring fire, some nice beers and a great chat with other residents. We could probably have slept on the sofa in the pub, they were that comfy. Room was nice, old-fashioned but nice. Plentiful tea/coffee and a VERY comfortable big bed. Obviously the building is old and you have to make allowances, e.g. the water pressure in the shower is not great. Breakfast was perfect. We had kippers and also a vegan fry. Both were just the right way to start the day.

As mentioned above, the building is old and the water pressure in the shower is not great, but more of an inconvenience rather than anything awful. The fridge was outside the room (shared with other rooms) but, again, hardly an issue.

The helpfulness of the friendly owners was the best part of our stay. We were walking The Ridgeway National Trail. The owner helped by offering transfers to and from the trail and in our case loaned us a guidebook. The breakfast and packed lunch menus catered for all with vegetarian and vegan options. The packed lunch was substantial and no plastic used in the packaging. The room was comfortable and clean.

We were walking 2 sections of the Ridgeway and this made the perfect overnight stop between them. The rooms in the annexe were warm, comfortable & quiet. We had booked dinner and this was lovely tasty home cooking with relaxed and friendly service. We also had a filling full English the next morning and took advantage of the offer of packed lunches for the next walk, to take away with us. Highly recommend. We were able to park in a space right outside.

It was all good.

We arrived around 7.30 and Mike came out to greet us and point is the right direction for our room. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. Shower gel is supplied which is always welcomed, along with tea, coffee etc. We went straight over to the pub for dinner. A very friendly welcome, good selection of food to choose from. Service was fast and efficient. We went round to the bar after we'd eaten, which was quite lively considering it was small and a Thursday evening. Had a cuddle with the resident cat and tried a local craft beer Ramsbury Ram. Very nice! Breakfast the next day was served quickly and set us up for the day. Overall enjoyed our stay and will go back again.

We arrived early but were made very welcome by the owner and offered tea and freshly baked scones. The room was ready and perfect for our needs. The food was delicious especially the mushroom risotto which I would highly recommend. The staff were friendly and excellent. A great place to stay when walking The Ridgeway.

It was all just perfect for our stay.

Good location for our needs. Room was clean and comfortable. Windows kept room cool in the evening. Hosts were friendly and welcoming. Ordered drinks and food at bar which were tasty.

Dogs are welcome so there was some hair on outside furniture and a bit of a ‘dog smell’ in main bar area however, our room was spotless and smelt fresh so it didn’t affect our stay.

Kind, considerate staff, a brilliant location accessible to all the stunning sites of prehistoric Britain. If I was not there for work, I would have loved to enjoy the pub itself, but I loved it. Slept incredibly, endearing inn rooms; but genuinely comfortable, clean and full bathroom, a slice of home. This area costs whT it costs and I think it was a very reasonable price. Visiting made me decide to organise a family holiday in-country to here. Oh, and I loved how they held the parking spot for me.

Our rooms were large and the en-suite had not only a shower but also bath - very welcome after a long day of walking. We had a lovely dinner. The Owners were very welcoming and they even reserved us seats to watch the football. Breakfast was delicious and Set us up for another day of hiking The Ridgeway. We also ordered packed lunches - they come highly recommended.
