The staff were all fantastic from check-in to check-out, especially Gabriel in the restaurant who was exemplary - professional and charming and an absolute ambassador for Marriott. The entire hotel was immaculately clean everywhere, and the room was well-equipped with a spacious modern bathroom. Great food, especially at dinner but also good breakfast choices. Great parking, super quiet area and the Keele Campus that the hotel is situated on the fringes of is just beautiful. Keele Hall and the gardens which are also part of the campus are well worth exploring. Loved everything about it and will definitely stay here anytime we visit the area.

- Above all is the comfort, incontestable. The bed and the pillows are really comfy - cleanliness - staff agreeable and flexible for late check out and always there to help - the parking is huge and free next to University campus - very quiet area, all clean around, spacious and clean roads, surrounded by lots of green spaces - way out of the centre with easy access, not inside crowded, noisy, packed and narrow city.

- room is a bit small - curtains would need to be a bit longer to reach floor so the light doesnt come from the bottom in the morning - the bathroom fan is horribly noisy but couldnt change that because its central controlled with no switch to turn off in the room, so its constantly sucking air with a certain level of noise. Someone sensitive to noise would certainly be disturbed with this constant background noise, especially at night

We attended an Open Day at Keele University and the hotel was perfectly situated on a quiet spot on the campus. We appreciated that the hotel, despite it being the month of June, was welcoming and inclusive of all guests by not singling out any one particular group. The staff were extremely friendly and efficient and the rooms were comfortable and felt very clean. We enjoyed the evening meal in the restaurant and the breakfast was superb. It's easy to find with plenty of parking. We would definitely always choose to stay here when returning to Keele.

Rarely for me I cannot think of a single thing that I didn't like about the hotel.

Bathroom had small clump of hair on floor when we arrived. We were given a room and put our luggage in it before going to eat in restaurant. After restaurant, couldn't get into our room with key.. then once we sorted out key issue with reception, our bags had been removed from our room. Turns out we had been g8ven the 8ncorrect room, and our bags had been moved to reception. It was a little stressful as didn't know why luggage had disappeared, but was given free parking to compensate for stress caused.

Very comfortable bed, great nights sleep. Super restaurant and bar service. Excellent evening meal (the chef did a marvellous job with hake fish).

Aircon set too low at 18 degrees. It was warm outside but 21 degrees should be fine. I had to switch it off. Minor niggle but the guests next door were sometimes chatting loudly in the corridor to their friends (not the hotel's fault), It might be good if guests were advised that if they talk in corridors they might be overheard by people in other rooms (or a notice in the lift maybe).

Location - really easy access from road network. Facilities - lovely big bed, large room, a fridge, good storage space, amazing shower room.

Location - a sign from the mini roundabout would have been a help. Facilities - All night there was a clicking sound every half hour or so, which woke us. We found out in the morning that the kettle had been left on, with no water in, and the sound had been the kettle's safety device switching on and off. The pillows - two were feather filled, two foam. My husband has asthma, which reacted to the feathers before we had time to remove the feather-filled pair.

All the staff have been exceptional Especially a very pleasant front desk manager named Gabriel. He was very helpful.amd attentive and so were all of the staff. Every single staff member tried their best and have been great. Especially all the kitchen staff they serve delicious food with happy pleasant faces and that really made my meals taste even more wonderful. I had a great 2weeks stay here at the courtyard marriot my time here was most relaxing and nextime I need a break from the norm I will surely come back here. Location was very good, right on campus at Keele Uni. There are some lovely walks around Keele Hall and the lakes so it’s a great setting. The hotel was well appointed, clean and comfortable. Staff were good and attentive.

We booked to stay with our dog and like many hotels, dogs are not allowed in the restaurant which I understand. The staff however had to move a table from the restaurant right the way down to the far end of the reception area where we had to eat our breakfast; we did feel that we were being shoved out of the way! Perhaps breakfast could be taken in the bar area by guests with dogs. The shower in the room had rather weak water pressure and the wash basin the bathroom although it felt clean was quite lined with soap scum which made the basin dull and you could scratch the dirt off with your nail. Didn’t deter from an enjoyable stay but the hotel lost a few marks for these things. Would definitely stay again though.

The reception and restaurant teams were wonderful. We were there due to a family member being in the Royal Stoke hospital and these teams "looked after us" in a friendly way whilst remaining professional in their roles. We particularly appreciated the way they chatted with Mum and made sure she was OK and could find the right bus to town when she became a solo traveller for a few days, and all the little things that made us feel welcome during our stay. Thank you. Oh and the food was excellent.

The only thing that let the hotel down was housekeeping. It seemed inconsistent during an extended stay, but reasonably good on arrival. On the up side, the reception team were very helpful in resolving any issues raised. The WiFi was a little patchy.
