Lovely hotel, with an amazing view of the Tyne Bridge from Reception and pool! Perfect location if you're going to a gig at the Glasshouse, and only a few minutes walk from Newcastle station . Nice big room: we booked a twin room & had a queen-sized bed each! Good size bathroom ensuite, with a really good power shower. The pool is big enough to actually swim in, which was a bonus! Water temp. was perfect, and the pool & changing rooms were spotlessly clean. Great jacuzzi, too!

No plug socket by the bed. (I had set the alarm on my phone, but had to plug it in across the room to charge it.) No biscuits with the tea & coffee provided in the room. I expected a little more, considering the price of the room. Aside from those tiny points, everything was great.

Ideal location, easy to find with the bonus of having a car park! The Remembrance display with the poppy's in the water in reception area was a lovely touch as was the pictures at breakfast for the children to colour, lovely thought🩵💜

Would have liked to book table for breakfast as we were placed on table with high seats with my Grandson who was only 6yrs old, very difficult to eat his breakfast & concerned he would slip off the high seat, I did ask twice if we can change tables but the lady was not one but understanding or helpful

On arrival the reception area was stylish, modern, functional and cosy. The front desk staff member who checked us in was extremely helpful and friendly. All of the staff we encountered were friendly, polite and helpful. We chose a river view room and the view did not disappoint. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and if we return to the area again it is the only hotel we will look for accommodation in. The room was spacious with a stunning river view and a very clever/useful mirror/hairdryer setup which my wife loved. We would have no complaints

While the bed was very comfortable it was slightly narrow. As keen coffee drinkers better coffee supplies would be a plus. I had to search my brain for these issues but it definitively would not stop me from rebooking again tomorrow. This hotel is a gem.

The location was lovely, the staff were exceptionally friendly, anticipated needs, and even took time to chat even when busy. Breakfast was lovely with a good selection of choices including freshly cooked options. Very child friendly. And on one occasion I noticed children came to breakfast before their parent and they were chatted to and treated equally as well as the adults. On one occasion whilst being shown to our table, I stopped to say ‘hi’ to our son and grandchildren. We were being seated at the other end of the dining room on a particularly busy day but another member of staff had noticed and asked if we would like to be seated nearby as a table had just become free. I felt that this was particularly observant of her but great customer service. Having a husband with Alzheimer’s some places can be challenging but there were disabled facilities next to the pool which meant I was able to be with him to get changed and meant he could access the pool facilities with the rest of the family.

I liked everything and the Hilton had a lovely relaxed atmosphere. If I had one minor problem it was that the shower in our room was particularly ‘over vigorous’ I did not mention this as thought it may just be my perception but when my daughter in law used it she said the same. This did not detract from our enjoyment or satisfaction with the hotel.

Fantastic views very clean food great

One of the reception staff did ask what our trip was for which really isnt any of there business but it was a stag do, one lady said we have to be respectful as we have high profile guests staying, I didn’t like that at all we are paying the same price so why does one get better treatment than others, fair to say we was in bed early and very quite I wonder how noisy the “high profile guest were” this for me really did annoy me, other than this one lady the staff are fantastic, breakfast staff absolutely amazing, if you have walking difficulties be aware the hotel is at the top of a steep hill

The hotel looked lovely in readiness for Xmas. It was warm and comfy. Bed and pillows were good. The pool was nice and relaxing. Food was nice and a very good breakfast and staff friendly. We did have a lovely stay.

We ended up checking in twice and it didn’t seem easy to find the booking and took a while to confirm that we had already booked dinner so it seemed a little unorganised. Then after dinner, we were going to be charged again for the food but noticed luckily but a member of staff was very helpful in sorting that.

Its location is great if you are able to walk fairly easily. You won’t get a better view of the Tyne and the bridges anywhere else. And a room looking out is always a treat. The hotel is near the city centre but not right in the middle so it’s quieter at night too. The staff are always nice and the rooms are clean and have everything you need even a fridge. There were complimentary water cans and I liked the Crabtree toiletries.

The deluxe double sounds good but in reality it’s a small double bed. And it’s basic. Everything was clean and fine just not deluxe. Not much room for two of you. There are no plug points by the bed. Always an irritation. Drinks in the bar are pricey. Better to walk over the bridge into town. Car parking charge per night is also high.

Fantastic buffet breakfast. We have stayed here quite a few times and it is one of the best in Newcastle. Rooms were clean and spacious, although looks like a standard hotel. Great pool and gym. Staff were friendly and good amenities. Great views of the river and Tyne bridge if you get a room on that side of the building. Good night sleep as it is a quiet area, unless there is a function on - but that usually quietens down at a reasonable hour.

The location is a little out of the way and on a hill, which was fine for us, but can be problematic for some. It's a short but significant walk from the town centre. There is parking, which has a daily charge.

Well appointed, every member of staff I engaged with was faultless, professional, with a complete focus on customer service. Room was spacious, clean, a good view of the river. Check in & out handled well, in particular the check in experience as he took time to ask about my day, anything I needed to know about hotel / city.

Had to chip & pin, not use Apple Pay, which meant I had to pay with personal card not work card. Linen & in particular the towels are a little tired No fridge in room & whilst cans of water provided to room on arrival these were not replaced when used (4 day period)
