Breakfast was good, there was plenty to choose from and plenty available.
Bed was a bit small and no a/c so quite warm at night. A fan was provided which helped.

The room was spacious, the crossiants are lovely, staff friendly and helpful. Love the little children area in reception- kids enjoyed colouring, playing and reading there. Decor in eating area/reception nice and relaxing. Free Wi-Fi and parking great. Lots of eating options nearby and quiet area.
The room wasn’t quite ready for us- sofa bed not set up for kids and no towels left for the kids. Didn’t always leave enough toilet rolls but it was easy to solve problems with staff. Pencils in children’s area all blunt- sharpened some myself. Didn’t have much hot food options for breakfast. Not much storage in room for clothes and not much choice of drinks for room. Bathroom very small and hair dryer on the wall broken (but another one was provided on a shelf).

Location for me on this occassion, close to Newburn which is my base when not home working. v close to main routes into Newcastle, Metro Centre and Retail Park from Teesside for me. Room excellent, i stayed 1 in a twin, impressed by size of room. I loved a hairdryer that worked first time next to a mirror(come on everyone else this should be the norm not stretching the wire 6 ft to breaking point in the dimmest light⁸!). An ironing board and iron neatly packed away in the room - fantastic whoever came up with that! Breakfast was more than adequate i think, so tea, coffee juice, cereal, pastry, bacon, sausage, egg, beans, toast and buns,ì preserves. Friendly, helpful reception staff. Highly recommend.
Didnt have a negative experience at all

Stayed here for the Great North Run and given most hotels in the area are exorbitant on this weekend this hotel was much more reasonable, especially since it has a breakfast thrown in. Staff were extremely welcoming, friendly and professional despite the clear pressure they were under from it being such a busy weekend so kudos to them. They even put up 'Good Luck' banners and prepared good luck goodie bags for all the runners. Very happy with my stay - would recommend to other GNR runners who are driving to Newcastle as the car park was ample and local amenities good. Room Very clean and comfortable - no complaints. Food/Drink Decent breakfast with all the usual suspects and fresh croissants (a novelty for hotel buffets). Coffee machine as you would expect but the Cafe au Lait pretty good for a machine. Dishwasher not the best as a lot of the coffee cups stacked up for use had coffee sins still in them from run-off. Location Easy to get to from the motorway but not ideal for the city centre if you are walking it - you can catch a bus to the Toon from the Metro Centre easily enough though. Handy for several food establishments i.e. the Skiff Inn or TGI Fridays. Walkable along a nice pathway is the Metro Centre for a load of shops and other restaurants.
Dishwasher needs fixed...some of the coffee cups were dirty.

The gentleman on reception when we arrived was very pleasant and prompt. The room was perfect. Loved the way the bathroom door could block off the toilet and leave the rest of the bathroom free to use, I’ve never seen that before. The replenishment station between the lift and staircase is a fab idea, so you can grab extra supplies for drinks in your room. It’s gave us a feel good factor, that you trust people to help themselves. The breakfast was great. There was plenty of choice. Overall we were very happy with our stay, and will definitely stay again, as we now have family in the area.
There was only a plug and usb socket on one side of the bed, when it was a double room that could cater for two people it would be better to have the same facility both sides of the bed. Virtually everyone has a mobile phone these days that needs charging, or smart watches and tablets that need charging.

Excellent room with lovely shower, bed and everything you need right down to shampoo and shower gel. The staff were very friendly and helpful and went above and beyond to make your stay a good one. The breakfast was excellent with a choice of a cooked or continental or both if you want. Although the hotel was a big one it had great sound proofing and we had a really good sleep. The location was excellent, not far from the Metro Centre and all Newcastle has to offer. Excellent value for money
One small thing, the carpet, although well vacuumed was a little grubby but perhaps because we booked a room for us and dogs it had been subjected to more cleaning challenges over time.

Standard and cleanliness of the hotel. Breakfast was presented and tasted delicious.
Due to an incident late at night with a family member who took unwell. There were no first aiders available and the night shift did not help at all with the incident or come to the room to see if they could assist. An ambulance was called and upon their arrival neither of the night shift staff came to assist, despite being asked if there was a defibrillator available. The response was no, but still did not enquire or assist. When checking out next day, not one member of staff asked how the Family was or where. So it appears no record of the incident was made. Which is a very poor service as I believe an Incident Report under Health and Safety guidelines should have been recorded.

The staff were helpful and very friendly. The room had everything we required. The breakfast had plenty of choice and was plentiful. Everywhere was clean. Bed was comfortable and all the linens were spotless.
Our first night was spoilt by children screaming and running up and down the corridor for hours. Apparently the staff had tried to stop this behaviour however the parents would not comply. Fortunately that family left the next day but there was often very unruly young children being a nuisance in the dining area and foyer their was some sort of children's photo shoot going on. It was very disruptive to anyone wanting a quiet drink or evening meal as we would have preferred.

Staff were lovely. Room was generally ok Breakfast was ok.
Room smelt musty there were stains EVERYWHERE the settee cushions were filthy. The fabric on the side of the bed was just stained wverywhere. The table was smashed but badly fixed/glued it looked tatty. The tv was small and not well located. The kettle was dangerous as it kept boiling and wouldnt turn off. Walls very thin as kept awake by person in next room snoring. Childrens bed had no bedding , we asked for this and staff sorted it out. Breakfast although nice I didnt think there was much choice and the pastries tasted old and dusty had to spit it back out! Coffee cups tiny!
