The hotel was clean and my bed was very comfortable leading to a good nights sleep. There’s a bar downstairs where you can relax on an evening. Not far from Gateshead and the Metro Centre- there’s a bus a short walking distance away. And finally, the hosts are lovely people, friendly and welcoming.

Nothing - I was happy with the property for what I paid, it more than fulfilled my requirements and I was comfortable and felt looked after.

Upon arrival we wer immediately made to feel welcome and greeted by a lovely lady who showed us to our room. The room was amazing with 4 poster bed and very clean. We popped out for abit of shopping at the local metro centre before returning to the hotel around 7 o'clock. We got freshened up and decided to stay inside the hotel and have drink to which we found out was karaoke night. I've got to say will definitely be staying here again on a saturday night for the karaoke itself. The other guests wer friendly and very helpful also. Thank you for a lovely stay OYO

Nice room, comfortable. I liked talking with the staff and having a drink at the bar, all in all a good experience. Thank you Simple Bar food next time please , chips chips chips!

my only issue was i think the shower may need having a look at as it would go too hot and cold randomly while in use. but it also may just be that i dont know how to use it correctly.

Great value room, with busy pub down stairs serving cheap drinks. No food was served on the day we stayed but staff showed us to a nearby chippy, and allowed us to eat inside. Would definitely stay again

Would have liked breakfast available, the facilities are there but not open the day we stayed. This wasn't a problem as mcdonald's 2 mins away in the car

The property was really nice. Spacious rooms. Good value for money. The beds were very comfy. All the staff were really helpful and friendly as well as all of the locals in the hotel pub downstairs. We were going out for drinks and they offered to look after our key so we didn’t loose it while out and there was a night Porter to let us in so was extremely lovely.

The only thing that I disliked about the property is it was rather cold. Our windows were already open when we arrived, we weren’t in long to realise but went out for 5 hours and came back to a Baltic room. We did ask for the heating so when we got back in later during the night but it never went on so the room was freezing.

Great location for Newcastle, Beamish and the MetroCentre. Cheap and cheerful hotel, bed was incredible comfy and had a good night's sleep. Friendly staff and bar on site.

They need to create a better heating system in the room because it only heats the nearest bed closer to the heater. all the rest of the room stays cold

I was going through a really rough time and needed some accommodation because I was homeless. The lady who booked me in picked up that I felt low. The kind words and encouragement I received really made me feel better, this person was a complete diamond. She’ll never know how much she helped me, so if you read this …. thank you so much

love this place, travel back from the midlands for every home game, they always make me welcome when they have a free room. Bus stop to the ground right outside, straight to the ground in 10 mins. Pool tables, darts, great rooms and comfy beds, good priced drinks. what more do you need? met some great people here and the lass behind the bar is a gem.

The location was key for me. The staff were all very welcoming, friendly, helpful and professional. I would like to single out Nikki and Michelle as exemplary members of staff who worked extremely hard to ensure my stay was as comfortable as possible

The hotel has obviously suffered through the recent pandemic and I feel that it would benefit from some TLC to bring it up to a standard that matches the staff.
