Our stay started off with being greeted at the front door by a very friendly Jennifer. We were shown up to our lovely clean and cosy room. The bed is one of the most comfortable beds I've ever stay in, with a good selection of pillows. The shower is also of good quality. The location is very ideal, set out of the town centre in a very quiet area. We stayed and went onto a comedy gig in York arriving back after 11pm, which was no issue due to having our own key to let ourselves back in. *which we hope we weren't to noisy when arriving back* Breakfast was very nice, having a quick hello with Mick, was pleasant to be able to eat in the conservatory looking out onto a very nice, well-kept garden. Really recommend to stay here as we will be hopefully returning again soon. Many thanks Jennifer and Mick

Friendly and comfortable, Bridge End was a 'home from home' kind of place. The breakfast was delicious and there was plenty of it. We ate in the conservatory with a view to the garden, brook and fields, horses, birds and squirrels which was lovely. Our room was clean and warm with a comfortable bed and plenty of bedding. There were plenty of sockets, bedside lamps, tea and coffee making facilities and plenty of wardrobe and drawer space for clothes. The ensuite was small but the shower was good and again everything was clean and in good working order. The town centre was a 15 minute walk away. There were good transport links with the train station nearby.

We couldn't link to the internet but I'm satisfied that if we'd have enquired about this it would have been easily rectified. We didn't bother to inquire as we were out for most of our stay and so internet connection wasn't a priority.

Our hosts were so welcoming and made our stay so comfortable. We were able to store our bikes safely overnight. A private bathroom is always a bonus and that's exactly what we had and very roomy with both bath and shower. The 'Full English' breakfast was delicious, perfectly cooked and presented using what tasted to be good quality oroducts A roomy yet cosy twin room with a great storage wardrobe that hid the TV, small hand basin and tea/coffee making facilities. The accomodation was a hop, skip and jump to the railway station and just a little further into town. A very smart quiet location where our room overlooked fields with sheep and horses. A very restful night's sleep. Wonderful. Thank you, June & Chris Lewis

Lovely traditional bed and breakast in the owners house in a quiet residential area. Clean comfortable room with bathroom adjacent. Beautifully presented cooked breakfast of ample proportions.

Nothing really but I will mention that I arrived on a motorcycle and the steep parking area was tricky and may not be suitable for a large touring bike such as a Goldwing or Electraglide, for a car it would be perfect.

Such a wonderful place. Our room overlooked the garden, river and fields and it great waking up to the sounds from outside. Lovely breakfast, which we were lucky enough to enjoy in the conservatory and Jenny couldn't have been nicer and she was happily chatting away to my very inquisitive 7 year old daughter. If we're ever back that way I hope there's a room available!! Wouldn't look anywhere else unless there wasn't room.

Bright and attractive room with view over the garden and fields. Glass mirrored wardrobe hid sink, tea and coffee facilities at one end, and TV at the other, with plenty of room for clothes etc. in the centre. Excellent breakfast, and lovely view of beautiful garden, and would rate this property 10 out of 10 in cleanliness, brightness, friendliness, and extremely good value for money.

The twin-bedded room was tight on space, and the lovely bathroom was private to us, but not ensuite, yet for the price was excellent value for money.

Spotlessly clean and very comfortable b&b with lovely country views from the bedroom window. Big private bathroom and excellent breakfast in the conservatory looking out over the pretty garden. Jennifer was a lovely host and we would definitely return and recommend. We really enjoyed our stay. Excellent value for money.

Couldn't fault it - lovely b&b.

Everything about it from first meeting our hosts Jennifer and Mick, the shining cleanliness of the whole house. The bedroom which was fine but although it wasn't totally a minus the ensuite bathroom was rather on the small side but as we were staying one night wasn't a problem. The breakfast, full English, was very good and enjoyable and was taken in pleasant surroundings. Above all, as mentioned previously, Jennifer and Mick were just so very nice and gave us necessary information. It was a pleasure to become almost a friend in such a short time. Hopefully we may get to stay again.
