The location was absolutely fantastic, despite the wet Scottish weather the view was no less spectacular. This was my 7 month old puppy’s first time at a hotel and the room was great. A towel, bowl and some treats were provided for her. I can’t praise the restaurant staff enough, they were so helpful and allowed us to sit further away as it was her first time in a restaurant. The barman whose name I didn’t catch but mentioned he was South African offered us water for her and the manager ensured she had enough space to get on with her training. It was a really smooth process thanks to the team! The food was also 10/10 and the room was spotless. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you.

The location is great, huge picture windows capture the large panoramic view of water and mountains. After the long drive to get there it was fabulous to walk around ‘the garden’ which turned out to be a nice easy hike through beautiful landscaping with plenty of photo opportunities and a beautiful lookout spot with benches to relax and enjoy the view. Our room was comfortable and had a deck you could access through a large glass door so that you could stay inside and enjoy the view, or sit on the chairs outside and feel the expanse of nature. The restaurant is fantastic. The portions may be a bit small but the food was beyond expectations. I see why people return over and over.

This place is stunning! Food, staff, location were all fabulous. We got our breakfast and dinner included in the price which was a steal. I can imagine the cost racking up if you're on pay as you go. Little touches, like hot chocolate, tea cakes and bottled water in the room were great. The room was very spacious even with a pop up bed for our daughter and we loved chilling on the balcony with a view of the sea. Short walk down to a secluded beach which my 4 year old loved. The staff were so lovely with our little one which makes the stay so much more enjoyable.

Honestly, nothing. We will be back!

The views from the rooms were stunning, a gorgeous view of the Loch. The staff were friendly, and there were highland cows just down from the hotel that you could say hello to. The rooms were nicely designed, and equipped with almost everything you could need. The breakfasts were also delicious - well worth getting up for!

The beds weren’t the most comfortable, as the double is made up of two twin size beds I could feel the line where they were joined in the middle. We didn’t opt for dinner as it was really expensive, but with the hotel being where it is, I was not surprised at the prices. It would have been nice to have a different option for coffee in the room - as I really don’t like instant coffee, even the coffee bags you can get with ground coffee would have been better.

Great hotel in fantastic location, superb food, helpful staff, good size room, pet friendly

We stayed in the extension to the original building, which was ideal with our two small dogs, the decor is now slightly dated as is the bathroom fittings/ tiling. The external veranda woodwork is showing signs of needing a re-decoration. The mattress also could most likely do with replacing. These are intended as minor comments to provide feedback to help the business improve the customer experience. If these items were attended to this would be a superb hotel in all aspects and we will certainly be back.

Before arrival we were contacted to advise of road problems due to Storm Babet and that a diversion was in place to allow us to access the hotel - very thoughtful ! The receptionist was welcoming and very helpful when we checked in and our room had quite amazing views over the water towards the islands to the west from a full width/height window and door. A paddock between the hotel and shore was home to some Highland cows and goats which added to the ambience and view. The room was large, well appointed, well furnished and the balcony was an unexpected bonus. Cleanliness was first class and the food was excellent, with an unadvertised canape and amuse bouche served with dinner In all, a place we will return to

It would be churlish to fault anything

The location and the view from the room were superb! The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful, and the food was exceptional! The hotel was very clean and comfortable, and very well laid out and run.

The only tiny grumble I have is that I was surprised, and disappointed, to see small pots of Tiptree jam and marmalade for breakfast and what seemed like cheap supermarket sliced bread. Considering the incredibly high quality of the cooked elements at both breakfast and dinner, I would like to have seen local bread and marmalade.

This hotel is situated perfectly overlooking the Loch - took our breath away (even though it was raining) The bar is very relaxing with an open fire for comfort - and the little cafe area cozy too. The restaurant has the best views and the food was lovely - with kind staff being helpful, especially in accommodating my father as sat in wheelchair. I wish we had stayed for more than one night as the whole area is stunning - a beautiful little gem of a hotel !

Hotel is in superb location with beautiful view from dining room . Gardens nearby were also a bonus. Relaxing atmosphere and room to sit and read. Overall the food was very good ( see below). Loved the veggie sausages for breakfast.

Hotel claims to be as eco friendly as possible. Patio heaters outside! The white wine needs to be chilled adequately. There was limited furniture in room, no shelves and the hanging space was in a cheap mfi wardrobe. Farmed salmon described as catch of the day.

The staff were amazing everyone was super welcoming and helpful. The rooms were a good size and perfect for our dogs! The bed was huge and spacious and the bathroom was nice and clean. The balcony areas were an amazing touch and the views were beautiful! This was a lovely stay and we would most definitely come back in a heartbeat. Food was lovely and the grounds were beautiful.

Not much we didn’t like, the bathrooms were slightly outdated but everything worked fine, hot water and very clean so no complaints from us!
