The property is located just a short walk from the centre of Oban and the seafront, with plenty of shops and restaurants around. The room was clean, modern and the bed was super comfortable. It was also an amazing size for a single room, with plenty of space, mirrors and a storage unit for clothes. The bathroom was spacious and clean. There’s no breakfast but there is a tea/coffee station in the room and plenty of options nearby. Steve, the owner, was really friendly and helpful. I arrived off my train at 11:30 and was just hanging about, so was very thankful when he messaged me before check in to let me know my room was ready and I could come early.

There was nothing I didn’t like, it was a great stay and I’d absolutely go back the next time I’m in Oban. There is a little noise from the hallway as people make their way to their rooms but once they’re in them, you can’t hear anything (I slept so well while I was there). Just a note, that there’s no traditional reception so people aren’t surprised but the owner was around and very easy to contact.

The location was excellent right across the street from a small inexpensive local market and a famous fish & chips restaurant & takeout was just down the street. The room was large and commodious with plenty of hot water. The train station is about a ten minute walk through downtown & the waterfront with no stairs to negotiate.

The 2 flights of stairs leading to the top floor where our room was and the fact that taxis were confused between “Dunmoore Guesthouse” and not “Glenmoore Guesthouse” which is on the same street.

was nice and warm when i arrived and the heating came on following morning for me around 4am as i had to get an early ferry crossing to mull at 5.15am . comfortable sleep in comfortable bed. great location for the ferry and shops/cafes restaurants was great but i didnt really go out as had such a long drive up from london i needed to get as much sleep as i could. was a small tv in the room also! A pretty good hot shower in the bathroom too! parking spaces directly outside when i arrived around 6.30pm was great too!

no tea bags only nescafe coffee sachets. not enough milk sachets. and rarely now use dairy/milk. use oat milk.

The location was perfect for walking into town or along the front. I loved how clean everything was. The bed was very comfortable and I have a back injury. The room was spotless as was the bedding and towels. I was made very welcome and given keys to come and go as I pleased. I appreciated that I felt very safe here as that is so important to a solo female guest. I will definitely book here next time I visit Oban.

I would have appreciated a small chair to sit and read, instead of having to sit on the bed. Other than that everything was perfect.

The location is excellent and parking isn't too far. Photos included. Having an ensuite with hot water. It's very clean. It smells nice. We were greeted on arrival. It's really warm. You can turn the radiator down or off in the room.

The bed was too hard for me. As in other reviews the light comes in through the curtains. You have to ask for more toilet rolls. There's no room service. There's no breakfast. You have to pay to park during the day.

very clean through out the guest house and where it was from the shops

noone there to greet us got a message to say there would be an envelope inside the hall with my keys in it. bathroom was along the hall from our room walking by 2 rooms. it was very smelly from the plug holes. thought on suite meant bathroom in your room. no free parking had to park along the road in pay and display. asked if we could get breakfast there they didnt do breakfast but we could go to a hotel further down the road if we booked a table. the sign outside there guest house says bed and breakfast free parking and free wifi. there was a sign at the bottom of the stairs to say where to drop your keys off when leaving. no one was around but we could message them or ring the doorbell then they would come out.

Had a rear facing room, was nice and quiet which is exactly what I wanted as I was staying for 11 nights for work and wanted good sleep each night.

Only a teeny wee thing but didn't take anything away from the stay. A mini fridge would have been night to store food/drink in since the hotel doesn't do breakfast.

The stay was as I expected for the price with a small but clean room with a part of its original size carved out for the bathroom. Good value for money as I was simply one night in transit. The proprietor was very friendly and courteous; he advised on sightseeing and happily looked after my suitcase after checking out so I could walk around Oban before I needed my luggage again.

Perhaps a heavier duvet, still a bit chilly up there in April.

Contact with host was excellent and efficient. Made himself available should I need anything. Room was comfortable, everything was provided that was noted int he description. Location is superb, as close to the high street and the harbour as you can get

Only small things really - room could have done with a little updating It took a little while to figure out how to get the tv and box working rolling door to bathroom was a little uncontrolled at the bottom

The location. The guesthouse is close to all the main areas. The access to the guesthouse is straightforward. It’s all self service for picking up your room key and dropping it off when you vacate. The rooms are clean, beds are comfortable with TV and tea/coffee making facilities. All you. Wed for an overnight in Oban.

There’s nothing not to like. It’s a good little guesthouse and provides you with a clean place to lay your head.
