beautiful cozy hotel in very english style, comfortable bed, all equipment needed. Location is also great, over the corner from the railway station, aprox. 15 min walk to the center, but you can also take the bus.

the only downside would be the breakfast. the waiter was very confused first forgot about us, then left completely, croissants were not eatable.

Great location, not far from the train station and walking distance into the centre. On a quite residential road. Great breakfast, good quality ingredients. Bonus that's its on abit later and not too early!! The hotel was spotless! The lady who cleans, does a great job! All the staff was very professional and friendly. We left our bags there, cos it was too early for check-in. when we came back, they was already in our room. Thought that was a lovely touch..

Only problem we had, was we couldn't figure out how to use the coffee machine/hot water (we don't have one at home) instructions would be nice. We was to embrassed to ask 😂

The room is clean, quiet and comfortable, and the shower is good. It’s not fancy but it feels good enough and well kept. Communication was quick and easy.

In general we are happy with the stay, just a few suggestions. (1) would be even better if there are one more extra stool in the room. (2) as there is no air-conditioning, maybe can change the curtain and cushion covers etc into summer fabrics during hot month. We didn’t visit on a hot day and the fan in the room was good enough for us, but we can imagine it would be hard in hot summer. (3) We were staying in room 3 and the toilet seat cover tend to flip down a lot, it’s not a great issue to us but maybe it can be affixed better.

The room was lovely - large, well equipped and very nice decor, with a good-size bathroom. Bed was very comfortable, and breakfast was generous - any option from the brunch menu plus continental. Very close to the railway station and Said Business School. Restaurant downstairs was excellent for an evening meal.

There is no air conditioning at all - not surprising in a building of this age, A very effective fan in the bedroom was most welcome but the room was still very warm, in late June. Also the door at the bottom of the stairs to the rooms is locked at night, and was not yet unlocked when we came down to breakfast, which was disconcerting. I understand the security precaution, but in the event of a fire, we'd had to have walked past the kitchen to the small courtyard out back - also locked off. Just a note for management to consider and perhaps advise guests of emergency exits.

The egg and bacon breakfast I ordered was the best I have ever had in a hotel. Toast of sourdough bread, bacon was fantastic and two poached eggs. The room was large and decorated to my taste. the bed, duvet and pillow was really comfortable (I always bring my own pillow, but did not have to use it). The bathroom was also to my taste. (The toilet seat was of the slow moving kind.) The restaurant was obviously a gourmet steak restaurant with different types of dry aged meat, but was sadly fully booked when I was there. I hope to try it the next time. The hotel is in a quiet neighborhood with a ten minutes walk to the center of Oxford.

This is actually no complaint, but as a not so large, older house there was no lift, so there were two narrow staircases to the top floor. The staff carried my heavy suitcase to my room without me even asking.

The room was ready early, which was perfect as we had to move from another property, so as to be closer to the train station the following morning. The staff were incredibly friendly, both then, and throughout the day, and the following morning, and it was several different people, clearly they just hire very nice staff! The rooms were very cute. Fruit basket in landing a nice touch. I ordered a glass of wine to take to my room, from the bar, and it was just fabulous (the sauvignon blanc, wish I'd asked what it was so I could order a case) The breakfast the next day was exceptional.

The lighting in the rooms was a bit dark. I had a kindle, but had I had a book instead, I would have struggled a bit. Also my daughter's room faced a construction job from one of the windows which made the room a bit less private and a bit more noisy than it would otherwise have been. It wasn't an issue for us as we were out all day but just a warning for other guests.

The room was a really nice size and the bathroom was as well. Everything was clean and the products top quality. Lovely staff, one & all! Stay here! Great location to walk everywhere. In a residential neighborhood makes it quiet with loads of character. The breakfasts were very good and the dinner was amazing! Best aged beef we've ever had. Bravo!

It was very warm in our room but the windows do open, so you could cool it down. The stairs are steep to get up to the bedrooms. It didn't bother us but it might bother those with any mobility issues. The staff are more than willing to help with luggage.

Great customer service - they really went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. We had to leave very early so because we were missing breakfast they set out some yogurts and granola. They had a communal fridge for your stuff too

Just something to be aware of is that you need to carry your luggage up stairs. No elevator. Also, we were there at a hot time of year and there is no air conditioning. The room had fans though. What can you expect though in such an old town and old buidings.

Attractive trendy decor with lovely photos all around - pretty cool. Modern and attractive furnishings. Comfortable bed and duvet. Large room was above an attractive pub so great for an evening glass of wine. Nice warm room with opening windows. Spotlessly clean. Quiet road.

Lovely bathroom but it was too hot as it had a big radiator which made it overly warm. Lack of blinds made you feel a little exposed to the neighbours when changing. Lack of parking was a bit of a shame but we received good advice about parking in an adjacent hotel, though this was quite pricey. When we asked about the Park and Ride, we were given vague instructions on arrival and we ended up wasting time and gave up with the search and returned to the adjacent parking.
