Just off the seafront and a few minutes walk to the railway and bus station. The steam train station was also located alongside the main station. Fairly typical seaside boarding house without the traditional dragon landlady of old. Very short level walk to the seafront with it's multiple attractions. Located in a quiet side street the rooms were very clean and equipped with anything you may need. Highlight was the excellent breakfast provided included in the room cost. Lots of choice and cooked fresh. Wonderful area to visit with numerous town and villages to visit. Buses only cost £2 a journey throughout the Torbay area. Recommend the bus to Kingswear, the ferry across to Dartmouth (£2.00) and a smaller boat to the fort at the estuary mouth (£3.00). Back to Kingswear and bus to Brixham followed by ferry across to Torquay (£6.00). From there train or bus back to Paignton. Wonderful day out to explore the towns mentioned as well as short cruises and ferries.

That I didn't book for longer. So many places I wish I could have visited.

Lovely homely hotel, lovely English breakfasts a choice and friendly atmosphere lovely Jo who made me feel welcomed! Jacaranda Hotel is close to the beach and harbour plus vue Cinema all the pubs and shops, everything you need close by walking distance.

The only issue was the stairs, as my room was on the top so if you have underlying health conditions with mobility not a good idea! although Jo offered a room that's has a separate bathroom out of the main bedroom on landing 1st floor I think for next time to consider.

Close to the beach and town centre. Jo the owner was friendly and welcoming and cooked a huge English breakfast which kept me going all day. My room was on the 1st floor, big enough with a single comfortable bed, TV, free Wi-Fi and coffee making facilities. The room had its own toilet and shower down the hallway. All in all a very pleasant stay in a quiet area but walkable to everywhere.

What can I say. Was there on a break from the North East & cannot fault anything. Jo was lovely, always had a smile on her face & was interested in you & what your plans were for the day without being overbearing. Breakfast was plentiful & your hot option cooked to order. The rooms are nice & homely. Will definitely be going back. A little gem of a guest house. 🙂

Nothing at all

Jo was the perfect hostess. The breakfast was beautiful. Rooms are lovely only drawback some / most single are on the second floor not mentioned in info. Which makes impossible for older single people if not super fit. Some bed are hard but very good size. Over all would highly recommend. Definitely going again 5 star.

The friendliness of Jo,the landlady.Nothing was too much trouble.The choice of brekkie,was plentiful.And never once did i not see Jo without a smile on her face.IF i ever return this is the place i will stay.I told Jo i will give her a 9.5. Thank you.

If i was too be critical,the coffee wasnt really hot enough( sorry).But didnt deter me from my FANTASTIC stay.

The choice for breakfast couldn't be faulted. Plenty of choice, and variations.

There wasn't really anything that the host could do better. She went out of her way to ensure everything was as we wanted. Unfortunately she is not in control of the Seagulls which provide a very early call in the mornings, but at a seaside area that is to be expected.

Owner friendly & welcoming. Clean. Good sized room. Fan in the room which was great! Breakfast filled you up for the day, and lot of choice! If you have cereal, you will get a massive bowl, not a kiddies variety box like a lot a places! Bear that in mind if you order toast & a full English! 😄 Decent shower.

The B&B was really good for the money, clean, good breakfast, lovely lady, literally only took off points because it sounded like you were sharing a room with your neighbour! If you're a jumpy sleeper like me, it may not be the place for you. Don't let this put you off though as the neighbour was particularly loud (random bangs in the night, shouting on the phone etc) so not the fault of the B&B!! I would definitely stay again, but would be praying for a more considerate neighbour!

For what it costs, I couldn't complain, excellent breakfast, nothing too much trouble, like asking for more milk or toast etc etc, for breakfast, Host very friendly and accommodating . Rooms clean and tidy tea and coffee milk unlimited supply in the room.

Unfortunately nothing to do with the accomodation, but the parking is a bit of a nightmare. Restricted parking, park outside from 5pm - 9am next morning, then no return within the hour, and the traffic wardens are as regular as clockwork, ready to pounce.

The property was a few minutes walk to the beach and the centre of town. Jo was welcoming on arrival and the breakfast she cooks on the morning is huge, keeps you fuelled all day. My single room on the 1st floor was big with TV, kettle and coffee and tea making facilities and free Wi-Fi and my own private toilet and shower down the hallway. The bed was comfortable and I slept well the 8 nights I stayed.
