One of the best stays I've had. Christel was a delight and the room was lovely. We ended up arriving a little later than expected, and she still made sure we were shown around and made to feel welcome. The next morning we met the other two guests that were staying in the house and I don't think I've laughed that much in a long time. We all only met each other over the 2 days but it was a b and b stay I'll never forget and that's due to the company and hosting. The room was immaculate and the electric blankets were a perfect touch. Will definitely be going back there next time im in the area.

The location of the B&B is up a significant hill so if you are walking please be aware. The B&B is on the 3rd floor of a residential house and has a shared bathroom and toilet which is perfectly clean and tidy. In the morning breakfast was served around the kitchen table allowing you to talk to the host and the other guests which was wonderful and I had a particularly enjoyable and engaging conversation with the host over shared interests.

Not much. It was as expected and well placed in the price range.

North view was so lovely. Exceptionally clean. after a day hiking in the showers, coming in to a nice cosy room was amazing. The beds had electric blankets, so after a shower this was a thoughtful touch. Bed was comfortable, plenty of tea/coffee. Christel even had oat milk for my dietary needs. Breakfast was gorgeous, home made granola and a selection of home made jams/marmalades. My fave was the pumpkin butter! Christel was the perfect host, so hospitable with a wealth of local knowledge. Highly recommend and will definitely be back

This place is a hidden gem - Christel is an amazing host, and the property itself is charming, cosy and comfortable. Christel has great local knowledge of the area so can recommend hikes and places to visit (particularly when it's raining), and made sure I had everything I wanted at breakfast (even accounting for my quirky food choices :D). Will definitely be staying again when I'm next up in the Lake District.

This cosy and clean room in a beautiful house was ideal for us to use as a base to visit the Lake District and the surrounding areas. Penrith town centre is within walking distance from the property and there was space to park our car. Christel was an amazing host putting on wonderful breakfasts for us and we felt that we wished we could have stayed longer. We would definitely stay here again.

The place much nicer to what the pictures show. The house is wonderful. The place is super cozy and the rest of all was perfect because it is super quiet. But above of all Christel is superb. The listing with the description and the pictures doesn't express what you really get. It is an amazing reward to stop over at this place and share with her a little time at her place. Absolutely wonderful and 200% recommendable

Amazing home with a fantastic host. The room we stayed in was great. Comfy bed, clean (shared) bathroom. Croissants with home made jam for breakfast (cereal also available). 10 min walk from pubs and restaurants.

The only thing I would warn others of is the hill to get to the place. It's not the worst but anyone with mobility issues will struggle. I am incredibly unfit and I just about managed.

Very nice owner and extremely friendly. Bedroom small but nicely decorated and comfortable. Shared Bathroom however this caused us no issue. We really enjoyed our continental breakfast and the homemade jams were delicious. We prefer a light breakfast and this ticked the box.

Car parking……on road parking which we weren’t prepared for, however the street is in a very nice area of Penrith.

Such a lovely bnb. Full of character, cosy and clean. Christel is an excellent host and such an interesting person to chat to. We can't wait to come back for some more adventures and hopefully enjoy some mountain treks that the host has to offer. The room was delightful, excellent shower and delicious locally sourced breakfast. Can't recommend staying here enough.

First time in years we have stayed in a b&b and it was absolutely perfect from the welcome on arrival to departure. Outstanding for comfort,cleanliness and super continental breakfast. Only two rooms let out and the bonus was the young couple who were a pleasure to meet. Christel is an excellent host and also has an outstanding knowledge of the area. We cannot wait to stay again.
