Great parking space, friendly reception, immaculate room, great spa facilities, lovely breakfast.

The bedroom and bathroom were not the most contemporary in styling, though very comfortable. Not a fan of dark wood furniture and dark coloured bathroom tiles, but they did complement the age of the building. Pillows were a little hard and unyielding - not the most comfortable.

Breakfast was lovely and very helpful staff and my partner had a lovely head massage

The room neeeded to be updated I think it was built in 1966 and refurbished in 1968! rooms are very tired looking

The quality of the food and service was very good, with the staff being very friendly and attentive throughout our stay. The original parts of the building were beautiful and offered a relaxing environment. The spa treatments and facilities were very good and the staff were very friendly and inviting.

Not so much did like but as some whom has traveled, stayed in very nice hotels and who has worked in architecture for the best part of 30 years, I feel that there is a lot of missed opportunities and potential within the hotel, which is a shame as with a bit of effort and vision from the management the hotel restaurant, bar and facilities could be so much more than just a fancy corporate conference workspace or meeting place.

3 night stay The building and grounds are lovely. The hotel itself is as beautiful as it looks on the photographs although it has lost some of the grand country house feel and needs a coat of paint and tidying up. We stayed in the four poster room on the top floor which looked out over the gardens. The room was comfortable, spacious and had everything we needed. We used the hotel as a base to travel to Cambridge and Stamford so for us, the location was ideal. The tree collection including the red wood sequoia avenue is amazing.

Breakfast was average. Average sausage, bacon could have done with another 5 minutes in the oven to crisp up and a decent coffee machine would make it a 4 star stay in my eyes. Limited menu at The Ramblewood so we ate elsewhere

The location was just beautiful… Very peaceful. Really enjoyed the spa & breakfast. Staff are SO friendly. We stayed here whilst visiting Peterborough Cathedral. Love the history. The dinner in The Ramblewood Inn was delicious. Will be returning for sure :)

The room was a little hot (however it is the hottest weekend of the year I’m pretty sure) but it’s expected with this type of building & price :) Bathroom was a little dated, we stay on ground floor Room number 10 (being honest this didn’t bother me and added to the old feel which I like but I think some people would probably see this as a negative)

this hotel sitting beautiful Parkland grounds. Part of the building from another age and most of the rooms were opened in 1999. The heated swimming pool and steam room are a real feature

Peterborough is a difficult town to get around. All the roads are on roundabout approaches., and the hotel is at least 15 minutes from the centre of the city. My shower could not be used because there was no cold water n Ttap. The staff found me a shower in a room next door, so their service recovery kept this rating high.

The staff were incredibly accommodating. We travelled from Australia to UK to visit elderly parents. We made a number of requests of reception staff to print and photocopy documents; the staff were so helpful, thank you. Being a very light sleeper, prior to check in, I emailed Orton Hall and requested the quietest room. The room allocated was very quiet.

We didn't anticipate there would be no lift to the 3rd floor. As a result of a shoulder injury, carry suitcases up was impossible. However, once asked, staff were more than accommodating carrying suitcase to room.

lovely old building with extensive grounds. plenty of areas to sit and relax. there is a pub in the grounds for casual dining as well as the hotel restaurant. breakfast buffet was good, plenty of choice. there is a pool onsite as part of the spa and we were able to take our 1 year old grandson for a splash before dinner. the room was a good size and easily fitted the travel cot. the room had tea and coffee plus iron and ironing board. all the staff we met were friendly and helpful.

the changing area for the pool was limited to male and female. a family changing room would be good

It is one the most tranquil places I have visited. I wanted to get away with my daughter from all the day to day routine, stress etc. Offering Spa treatment on site was an added bonus! The property was perfect. it was spacious and catered for all the facilities. Super grounds for a walk around. Having the Bar Nextdoor meant you didn’t have to travel far a bite to eat. It was like home from home but better! Friends have asked me where was the property as they found it appealing on the photos.
